Did an outstanding job to match a difficult color which save us money. The team was quick to respond and did NOT race to get the job done. It was done right!!

Their housekeeping could be better, we had to pick up a lot of tape and paper and they spilled paint on the grass.

We were very impressed from the point of initial contact. They were extremely professional, friendly and punctual. They also explained the process and provided details on how the work would be done. The weather was a bit of a problem initially but they worked around that and did an exceptional job. And, perhaps just as importantly, they left the work area just a clean as when they arrived. The supervisor overseeing the work was also extremely professional and friendly. We will definitely be using them again.

Getting the estimate was very easy and quick. The price was much lower than other quotes I received. I was able to schedule the painters to come out within a week. Overall everything went well (the B rating in punctuality is just for the problem I ran into with the first set of painters). I was told it would be a one day, to day and a half job. The first day the painters came out, they were instructed what to paint, given the paint color and left to go get it. After about 4 hours, they hadn't returned. I called the main office to see what happened, and they were not able to be located. Nothing was accomplished that day, as the painters never returned phone calls and were never found. Oscar from Five Star was very apologetic and very nice in making sure we had new painters that came out the very next morning, early, and would have everything done in a day. They showed up on time, were very nice, and had everything done by 3pm. They did a great job and were very efficient. I just wish I had these guys the first time around. I would use them again, the paint looks great, and they were very professional in handling the mishap.

My contractor had used Five Star painting when I had a massive water leak that required major renovation to the inside of my home. I was impressed so contacted them to do my exterior.. The price was in line and I know the quality of work they had done on the inside so I awarded Five Star the contract. They did a great job... AGAIN. Started job when scheduled..... did excellent work........ Finished on time............ the outside refinishing of the stained doors was remarkable. I will use them again.

Wow, these guys were great to work with. I called them on Friday, they came and gave me a quote on Saturday and painted on Monday. The painting looks great! Everyone was friendly and professional. Miguel did a great job of communicating and Tomas and his helper did an outstanding job of caulking and painting. Extremely efficient and affordable.

The team (i will get to that in a second) arrived on-time and was very pleasant. We chose our paint colors and went over which rooms were to get which color(s). The lead painter went to the local Sherwin Williams and picked up the paint. When they arrived back at the house, a careless slip caused about 3 gallons of paint to be spilled on my driveway. They attempted to clean it (w/ my power washer), but there is still a faint mark on my driveway. The team consisted of six painters the first day. They worked diligently until about 5:00 pm when it was time to close up for the day. The next day only two painters showed up at the house. When I asked where the others were, he replied that those were his friends and were just looking for work. Although I applaud employing those who need work, they DID NOT work for Five Star painting. Those painters were not vetted or bonded and they were in my home. In the area that was painted by those workers, there was paint splatter left on the floor that we are still finding to this day. There were a few places that were supposed to be patched and re-spackled, but it was only mediocre. If one looks at the spot, you can tell that it was patched. There were also a couple of spots that were supposed to be touched-up that were not. My wife and I ended up with paint brushes finishing up the little details. Although the price was great, the workmanship could be improved. With that being said, for the money, it was not a bad job. Just don't expect the best -- or at least that was my experience.

All aspects of the job were prompt and professional. The actual work performed took approx 11 hours. The rate, which does not include the time for the original estimate, was approx $95.90 per hour. Five Star Painting was running a "free paint" promotion so this cost only included labor and materials. If the promotion had not been available it would have increased the total project cost by $244 to a total cost of $1,299 or approx $118 per hour. The crew was courteous, showed up promptly as scheduled, and did a excellent job.

The 1st scheduled date had to be cancelled due to the big ice storm - it was an outdoor job. The scheduler called and advised me we'd be top priority on their schedule, to get us back on track for the job She kept in touch with us until finally we got a warm enough day that the painting could be done. The job foreman called the morning of the job to let us know they;d be there within 30 minutes and they were. The workers were very professional and did their jobs diligently and answered any questions we had for them, as did the foreman. The job was finished by mid afternoon and they called us out to examine the table & chairs. I noticed a few minor spots that they had missed and they handled that immediately, very porfessionally, and left us the leftover paint, so we would have it for any touchups we might need in the future. It was a good experience and I would not hesitate to use this company again. NOTE: In fairness, I want to add that the spots missed by the painters were very understandable. They were painting a glossy black paint over white paint. And in bright sunshine, it was very hard to tell if a spot was just a glistening of the sun or if it was really a white spot of the old pain!

Paint job was very shoddy. Dishonest. Would not use them again.

This is the second time I have used Five Star Paining. They did such a fantastic, friendly job the first time, I knew they could help me with the next! I contacted them again when we got our closing time from our realtor. The new house had a bright pink bedroom and bright purple bedroom for my son to choose from- or he said he wasn't moving. We also had a bright orange entry way from the garage and a wall that had minor damage from a flat screen tv. Of course moving requires flexibility and Five Star Painting wrote the book on it. I chose one neutral color for all the rooms- one Stacy picked out for us because of its flexibility to any style. The crew floated seamlessly with the movers and the paint even dried before the movers could finish! We were able to spend the first night in our new home without pink, orange, and purple rooms! Thank you Five Star Painting! It really took a stress out of the day.

I contacted Five Star Painting and few other companies to get quotes on repair work I received from the buyer of our home. Five Star Painting came in hundreds of dollars under the others. Stacy was able to drive by, see our home while we were at work and quickly sent me a quote. I needed the work completed quickly as we were on a deadline with the buyer, and it needed to be completed on a weekend, in the morning....Stacy said all of this was possible- and she was correct! Everything was completed correctly and professionally. They were able to match the paint to the rest of the home and cleaned up every scrap of wood. This was one of the larger stresses of selling the home, and Stacy and Five Star took care of it quickly and efficiently.

Nelson and his helper came out and changed our rotted wood on my house and replaced with hardy board. They also washed and stained my deck. They worked so quickly I couldn't believe it and everything looks so much better!

They didn't sand down texture on wall like most professional painters do. I would not recommend this company to anybody.

I contacted 5 Star late in May for a quote. I hired them in early June. They claim to be done and refused to come back to finish September 16th. This is a typical scenario of a couple that buys a franchise and really knows NOTHING about the industry. They hired subcontract painters. One of the painters was very good. The other ?.. well lets just say he wasn't. Reed and Stephanie don't really know how to walk a job and review their peoples work. They really don't know about paining either. There were so may items left undone or simply not done correctly. To make a long story short. (As much as possible) I had to have them come back numerous times to fix and redo things. Things that are obvious. Items I pointed out even to Reed (the franchise owner) were never done. It took them weeks to get back to me several times. Finally when they were pressed for money they start pushing me to get finished. Reed comes out to walk through again and brings the painters with him. I wasn't prepared for them to work in the house. I thought it was going to be a punch list walk through only. They started and fixed many of the items that needed to be done. They proceeded to call me around 3:00 and insist that I leave the meeting I was in and come home walk through and pay them. I explained that was not possible, and I would let them know when I got home if everything looked OK. I arrived to find numerous items STILL not done. Even things I had pointed out. I called to explain that and they said I wasn't being truthful. I proceeded to film the areas and send it to them. Numerous paint drips on louvers on my doors, areas left undone. They refused to come back and offer a $50.00 discount. I wrote them an email and explained that I was very unhappy and they should either fix the items or discount more as hiring a painter to come finish the work would cost much more than $50.00. I explained a happy customer is worth more than a couple hours work or $50.00. They refused to discount more or come back. I paid them what they asked and explained I would try to prevent anyone else from going through what I had to and thus I am here explaining. I paid them what they asked for 2 reasons. I never want to be considered unfair, and 2 they did complete 95% of the work.

I called Five Star after another contractor fell through. I needed the job done immediately, and I had to call about 15 companies to find someone who could do it in that time frame. They were professional and fast from the first time I called, and working with them was a good experience. Everything looks great and I would definitely use them again!

Started out very well and ended well. Small problem in beginning of paint process, but mike and project manager got it fixed very quickly with little delay. Mike came out promptly and gave us a quote. we had another quote (actually lower than five star) but liked mike and what he had to say so signed with him that night. They were able to start when we needed them to with our schedule. First day arrived and project manager and painters showed up. The painters went to purchase paint and when they still aren't back 3 hours later, I contacted PM and he got them back out here. They were only here a few hours and the lead painter told me he had an emergency and had to leave. By this time we were pretty frustrated with the job they were doing as it wasn't prepped anything like mike told us it would be. Contacted pm, he came out again and agreed with us on poor workmanship so far. we told him we didnt want those guys back. Pm contacted mike (who is the owner) and they arranged to have new crew. They came that afternoon and in two days did all the work, prepped the areas, did a FABULOUS job, cleaned up like you would never have known they had been here. The rad painter was Oscar and I apologize that I don't remember his team ages name, but we will use five star again and request Oscar. We really were pleased with how a bad situation turned into a great situation. I think five star us interested in repeat customers and their reputation is important - not just paint and go. Loved it! In my daughter's room, they painted 3 of the four walls in "Repose Gray-Satin finish". On the 4th wall they painted the whole wall in Repose Gray - Flat with thick horizontal stripes of Repose gray - in Semi-gloss finish! Wonderful & fun idea that Stacy, my quote estimator & color consultant helped me with! I knew I wanted a gray, but she was able to help me fine tune it to find the right shade to go with my vision. The crew was fast & efficient. Their attention to details - making the horizontal stripes level - was amazing. They cleaned up afterwards. Something that would've taken me a week or more to do was done within hours! I have used them twice before & am always impressed with the high standards that they have for their crews. I was able to talk to the project manager before the project started & we hammered out the details. He was available for me to call & talk to if I had any questions or concerns about the project. Like always, they are their biggest critic sometimes & they saw very small areas that needed touch ups that I had overlooked. They were able to set up a time to come out & get it fixed. Very easy to talk to.

They are easy to reach out to. If I need to contact them, it is easy to reach out to them. The work was bad. Basically it's not professional. I need to spend a lot of time finding the places they seemed to have missed when painting. Then they spend some time arguing what's done right and some of the places they fixed it but again I would expect a painting company to do all these things. Do the ground work, do the the oversight and do the job right the first time. Basically one person from Five Star came and gave me a quote and when the actually the job was done a different person who came and they said that quote was even wrong and they bumped the price a little bit higher.

They were punctual, and they did a good job. The man that painted was named Louis, and he did a very good job. We are very happy.

I didn't use their service but they gave me an estimate and it was okay.

They did an amazing job! Everything about the project was prompt and professional. Phil was very friendly and helpful when he came out to do our estimate. Oscar was great as the Project Manager and Mike and Cesar were outstanding doing the painting. Mike and Oscar showed up on-time (early actually) every day. We had a LOT of cabinets with some intricate work at the top of them and the attention to detail was fantastic. They cleaned up afterwards and did not leave any mess behind at all. We are definitely going to be using them for our next painting project. If you use 5 Star, ask for Mike and Cesar to do the work. You won't regret it! Our kitchen looks fantastic and we couldn't be happier with the results. It's like we have a new house!

The crew was clean and thorough. Anytime they missed something they were quick to fix it. I am satisfied with the out come of the project.

I am so incredibly pleased with the job that Five Star Painting did. I shopped around and had a few other estimates from other companies, but Five Star's price was the best one. Not only that, but I was impressed with his professionalism and honesty from the very beginning. Reed took an estimate of every room and broke it down by cost so my husband and I could pick and choose which rooms we wanted. He also provided us with a discount because we were Angie's list members. He was able to get us in within a week, and finished the whole job in four days. I loved that I got to meet with Reed and the painters themselves and do a detailed walkthrough before any paint was even bought - this made SURE that the painters knew exactly what to do and Reed was completely aware of the job I was expecting. Reed was great to work with - returned calls promptly, worked with me on a payment method/time that fit my situation best, and oversaw the whole project. There was even a point where there was a misunderstanding of paint color and a room was painted incorrectly. Reed immediately went out to purchase the correct color and went to great lengths to make sure that it was the exact color I wanted. He then had his painters repaint the room at no extra cost to me. He even painted a few extra things that needed it free of charge. I was so incredibly impressed from beginning to end with this company. I will definitely use them in the future - the price was great, the job was fast, but most importantly, the quality of the job was top notch. I could not be happier with the overall result!
