Work was done on schedule. Took a little longer than expected but great job.

It went well, but my wife felt she had to follow around them to ensure they did a quality job. They broke one of the master bathroom mirrors when taking it down or putting it back up, not sure when, but we were discounted a bit off the price due to that error. Several spots were not cut in well around the baseboards and other molding. The work was completed well, don't get me wrong, the overall look and job was very good. It is just not A quality work and for the price seemed too expensive.

The service was very good and the price was excellent. I bought the paint and they did all of the labor. So there estimate on project completion was way off. I was told it would take max 3 days. I asked them, are you sure..it's a lot of painting and also doing texture on the walls. I was assured it would be done. Well it took them 4.5 days..so bad on estimating time. The workers were great and covered everything. But on the last day it was one guy and he was rushing to get it finished. The guy who did the texture was definitely new at it and not a lot of experience. After cleaning up everything. They left my bathroom a mess..texture was on my bathroom floors and baseboards. My wife had to spend 2 hours cleaning their mess..but they were good painters.

Quick response, quick estimate, quick available start time. Wallpaper/paint crew (Rodrigo and another) did excellent work. Quick, neat, good quality. Would definitely use and recommend Five Star again.

Five Star Painting started out promising. A gentleman by the name of Manny came out and priced the job out. However, we never received the written quote. The next week, Five Star Painting's team of 3 painters came out, almost 3 hours late. They said the traffic was bad. They were late all three days. I showed them the rooms that were to be painted. An hour later they said they were done with the first room. The paint was terrible. I asked them were they going to use a primer or double-coat of paint since we were moving from a dark color to a lighter color. They said they were told to just double coat certain areas of the room. I called their team leader Gema and she said that it was at the painter's discretion on whether or not to use a double-coat. Our home has cathedral ceilings, and they were supposed to paint it. The first day, the didn't have a ladder long enough. The next day the painted the wall, but they got paint on our wood floors and they painting result was blotchy. They told me that they were done, and I said it looked awful. They agreed and said they would come back the next day to complete the job. They came back on Day 3 (They were supposed to come at 1 PM, they showed up at 10 AM...????). The proceeded to paint the wall again and complete the Master Bedroom. By this time, it became obvious that I picked the wrong company for the job. The painters were nice enough, but they job was sloppy, messy, and we spent three days cleaning up paint spills. I called Paint Ovations from Angie's List and they did an exceptional job of cleaning up the upstairs mess. Unfortunately, I didn't book them long enough to correct the downstairs painting and they are book solid until the middle of next month. I also had to call Stanley Steemer to come and clean our floors. Right now I am stuck with a bad paint job in the Master Bedroom, and some trim work in one of the upstairs rooms. BUYER BEWARE!! My $1595 deal cost me an additional $1000.00 and it's still not done properly.

This was our first experience having a home painted, however JP, Manuel and Jose each did an outstanding job. I contacted Five Star Painting through Angie's List on the weekend and at the beginning of the next week they responded to me. Once they responded, the schedule was set to meet for a walk thru. JP, who I believe is the general manager, came to my house, and together we did a walk around so he could show me what they would be doing. I had put off doing this longer than I should have, simply because I didn't know what to do...they walked me through the entire process and seriously could not have made it easier. The final job was fantastic. Very professional. From the painting through the clean up through the final walk around. Thanks to all of you - your professionalism is so appreciated.

They all did a wonderful job. Very efficient, professional, and great quality of work.

Provider sent a gentleman out to provide an estimate. (I had the same company come out about 8 months earlier for an estimate as well). This estimate was $500 more expensive than the prior estimate, but with all of the good reviews, the detailed estimate, I chose to go with this company. The weather was an issue so kudos to the painters for getting the job done despite the cold and wind. The company pressure-washed my house, caulking as necessary. They then matched the colors (impressed with the match) but were unable to match the door color due to how faded it was. They left me a color palette to pick the closest color blue I could and I was able to match it pretty well. Once the weather allowed, the company sent 2 workers out to paint. Their machine tripped the outside sockets so I had to plug them in to an interior socket, not a problem. I had to take 2 1/2 days off of work ( I imagine if the weather was warmer, I would not have had to take off so many days.) The painting went well, Carlos and Joey worked hard in the cold and wind. The outcome was a beautifully painted house. The ONLY issue I have is that on day three the painter called the company because his directions did not include painting the floor of the second floor balcony. I was called by the supervisor, told of this and was informed that the gentleman who gave the estimate assumed the floor was stained and not painted (He did not ask me either when he gave the estimate and I did not question the absence of the balcony floor on the estimate, assuming it was included with railings). Anyway, I was told it would be an additional $120. I was not happy because I presumed, since it was an oversight on the part of the company that they would swallow the cost and paint it as part of the original contract. I did not find that very professional and that is my only complaint. Be sure everything is included in the contract when you sign it, because they can, and will, change the contract if they forgot something. No, a caveat. The company did give me a $149 discount and charged me only $3000 as opposed to $3149, but with the additional $120, the original estimate would have been $3269.00.

He was great. He was the single most polite person I have ever met. He was efficient and professionally dressed. His price has been the lowest from other bids I have received.

Work went smoothly. A few minor details were forgotten, but corrected immediately. Excellent response time.

Very professional people, JP came out of for the bid, needed shutters replaced but decided not to. JP suggested we buy @ home depot. Researched we have 18" lover. received w/ latex paint + needed to get redo + come prime. coats of oil paint: call me if this needs clarify. Paint guys did not waste any time + maggie is darling and a good worker. 970-389-6084.

Asked for an estimate and got a very quick response from Mike. Project was planned and work was done on schedule. Excellent prep to protect my new flooring and appliances. Painter lead was excellent. He pointed out and fixed any flaws (water marks, holes from picture hanging etc. Took down drapery fixtures and patched. Excellent cleanup. I would use this company again with no concern. Only issue I had was the communication from the project manager. I had to call vs being informed. Don't expect to hear from sales after the contract is signed.

The team was on time, finished as promised.

Not well at all.There was little to no supervision of the painting crew and. no follow through by the manager. Globes for lights were missing as well as covers for light switches. Pictures were not rehung. Paint was thrown on front lawn and on flowers in beds which were killed. Big bare spots on grass killed on the lawn. The .manager laughed it off and said it was water based and wouldn't' t harm, anything.He never did a walk-through. I DID THAT making a list of places missed. The paint on the front door was pealing at the walk through and several spots on cabinets in the kitchen had areas beginning to peal. I made the mistake of paying BEFORE the walk through items were completed. Never again. I called and called and got no return calls to fix the problems. I CANNOT RECOMMEND THIS COMPANY.

Everyone involved was friendly and professional. I LOVE how it turned out. I get people commenting all the time about how new the house looks now. The project manager was always responsive when I had questions. They finished on time and were very courteous about my time and property.

Worker arrived on time to provide the estimate and was cordial. I scheduled the work and when I came home after the first day, I was upset as they painted walls that were not to be painted. The ceiling was "patched" but seams on vaulted ceilings were crooked. Texture was bad and paint did not match. I called the project manager who did come out that evening and told me they would repaint the walls that had been painted incorrectly. She told me they would fix everything and that she would get the owner to come out about the ceilings. The next day, I received a call from the project manager who said that the owner stated that the ceilings had minor issues that they would fix. I pointed out that the seams were not straight. She told me that the owner had ANOTHER worker come out (without my knowledge or permission) and he said that the sheet rock needed to be fixed and they would not do that. I told her I expected the ceilings to be fixed correctly as I had specifically told the lady who did the estimate that I wanted the seams straight. The owner called me and was a bully, plain and simple. He stated that they would not do that work and that was not included in the estimate. I pointed out that I had vocalized my expectations to the person who did the estimate and that I expected the ceiling to be repaired per my stated expectation. The owner threatened to pull out and bill me for what work had been done, threatened to put a lien on my home, and so goes the story. He hung up on me. He then called and left a voice message that the workers would come out the following day and pick up their stuff and "we will part ways". I called and left a voice message that I wanted the work completed in the manner I expected. The workers came the next day and the project manager called me and told me that they were finishing up the work. The project manager, Maggie, was the only person I dealt with that I have anything positive to say. She worked hard to make things better. The cabinets were awesome- They did repaint the walls they had in error painted but the seams on the ceilings remain crooked. I would not suggest anyone use this company - because the owner is rude and a bully. I am a senior and am not going to be talked to in the manner he used. No excuses for his behaviors! I have read his responses to others who have not been pleased with the work,and he does not accept responsibility for their issues with the work but has excuse after excuse and makes it look like his customers are to blame. I anticipate the same type of response to this review. Just think about whether or not you want to hire someone who does not accept responsibility for the quality of work done.
