Aire Serv of Central Texas

Description of Work: Our air conditioner stopped working last night. It was around 8:30pm, and we frantically called the a/c company that our property management utilizes. Our situation is not typical as our toddler has autism and cannot become overheated with a certain medication he takes daily. When I made the call to our former a/c company, I was greeted on the phone by an extremely rude woman who seemed annoyed by my phone call. I explained the urgency of our situation. She stated that she'd pass it on to a serviceman, but she couldn't promise anything until the next morning. Our house was now showing 78 degrees and rising. We waited by the phone for approximately 1 1/2 hrs when my fiancé called back for a status of the repairman arriving at our home. The same woman responded to my fiancé- "I told your fiancé (my name) that I'd page him out, but he's not answering his pages" with an extremely rude and abrasive tone. Now In a panic, we called a company that came up when my fiancé googled a/c repair service companies in the area, which was Aire Serv Heating and Air Conditioning. Thank God we called them. We were greeted this time by a friendly, concerned woman who assured us that we would be taken care of. In what seemed like no time at all a repairman knocked on our door. It was now 10:00 at night and expected a serviceman who was tired and anxious to finish the job as quickly as possible and leave. Instead, we were greeted by a friendly repairman by the name of James Lavinder, who donned the most sincere smile you could ever hope for. We apologized for the late hour he had to come out and fix our a/c unit. He responded as though we were family, assuring us that it was absolutely no problem whatsoever, and that he was happy to help us. He took the time to explain to us each and every step he was going to do in order to properly diagnose and remedy our problem before he did the actual work. He then thoroughly explained to us what the issue(s) may be and our options in fixing them. No pressure at all, just honest and informative options and the cost of each one if we were to go that option. James did not rush us into any decision. At this point we felt extremely comfortable with James, knowing that we were in good hands. James went above and beyond his job, double checking every bit of work he'd done to ensure a properly functioning air conditioning unit. James was on the job for 3+ hours, friendly and professional as any one techinion you could ever hope for. Our autistic son insisted on looking over James's shoulder and asking James tons of questions. James was so kind to our son, answering him with a genuinely kind tone. What other technician would have done that in a sweltering hot house while working in a dusty a/c vent at 12:00 am ?????????? The repair work needed was extensive as our a/c unit had not been serviced in many years. James completed his repair work in an extremely timely manner while still dedicating his time to fix the issues thoroughly and completely. When we said goodbye to James that night ( well actually morning), we knew we had found our company of choice- Aire Serv Heating and Air Conditioning of Waco Texas.
