Description of Work: He was only about 10 minutes late. He walked in and the first thing out of his mouth was an insult about how tiny my kitchen was. I told him after that insults was not the way to get our business. I had already explained on the phone that my kitchen was very small and that every space had to be used efficiently. He was at my home for an hour. He continually called me by the wrong name even though I corrected him more than once and he said our names in every sentence like a door to door salesman would. He talked down to my husband and myself like we didnt know a thing. I explicitly explained that I already pretty much knew what I wanted as I have been researching this for weeks. Also, when we stated that when a completion date was given, we expected it to be met. He did not answer but quickly changed the subject. There is more but I dont want to give this one another thought. Hire him at your own risk. |Overall, I thought he was condescending and rude. |He doesnt even have business cards. The only way to reach him is email.

Response from CR Pez
It was saddening and very difficult for me to read this review because it was a personal affront. Usually I ignore inaccurate conclusions like this one and go on. But, because this is a public forum, I have to respond. 1) The "tiny kitchen insult". When she guided me to the kitchen, my observation was "wow, your kitchen is small". That was it. I didn't mean it as an insult, rather an affirmation of her comment. 2) "There for an hour" comment. The appointment was January 30th, Friday evening at 5:30. It was after my work day, but the time they made themselves available. A complete kitchen gut out is a serious remodel. I took the time necessary to understand her wishes, answer all questions and take measurements of all affected areas. This is a critical phase of the bidding process and it just takes time. 3) The "wrong name". This is true. When I went there, I had two first names written in my appointment book previously given to me: Jamey and Gail. Husband and wife names? Wrong. I was promptly scolded and informed that both were hers and that his was different. It took me a moment to adjust. I apologize. 4) "No business card" comment. This is true. I have never found them to be that effective and have made the personal decision not to use any. My contact information (phone/fax/email address) have remained the same forever and over 90% of my work is referral. I prefer it that way. It has never been my practice to treat people condescendingly, insult them or make personal attacks. I truly hope [Member name removed] has a wonderful remodeling experience.

Description of Work: Andy and his team were easy to work with and "listened" to my concerns and desires. They know their business. I had water damage on the popcorn texture on the living area ceiling. The popcorn was completely removed and finished with a smooth surface, all previous nail holes, paint drips, caulk, etc, were addressed. They built a smooth covering over all the rough cedar beams to update them and removed a mantle and textured the holes there to blend in with the existing brick. The job is beautiful and seamless. My grandmother's antique table was weak and broke during the project (no fault of theirs). Andy went over and beyond to help me get it repaired, refinished, delivered and put back together along with a new glass top. That alone would have been a headache for me. His bid was competitive and he is a professional. All I can say is, "Thank You!"

We had a fire caused by the original combo exhaust fan light in one of the attached bathrooms. I was made aware of the fire which had damaged the bathroom itself but also the studs in attic before extinguished. Mr. Perez was at the site within an hour on his way back from an out of town job late on a Friday. He made an initial assessment, contacted me while I was out of state traveling within the hour. He indicated that the damage was such that would need to wait until Monday to secure appropriate permits and inspections to begin work. By 9:00 a.m. Monday he had initial inspection and permits secured, his crew commenced work and had all appropriate construction, electrical, sheetrock, painting, inspections and smoke remediation completed by the following Friday afternoon. Mr Perez was once again, exceptional, timely and incredibly professional. He worked our emergency situation into his existing workload and had the entire situation resolved by the time I had returned from traveling.
Description of Work: Repaired damaged caused by electrical fire in student duplex rental.

I had contracted with other individuals to due repairs and upgrades in a duplex we own in Waco, we live out of town. They lied to me for almost three months about what they had done. When new tenants were moving in and we were down to the wire and I was there they had done an incredibly poor job and I called Mr. Perez that morning. He came by at noon, gave me a price, and his crew started the next day. He corrected a number of mistakes the original workers had made, Finished a botched kitchen counter tile project, An unfinished pantry construction, trim and wall painting and other general repairs. He had committed to being done by the end of the week which was 4.5 days and accommodated our students, by finishing over a full day early. When I returned and he understood I had wanted an additional two doors painted, he quickly took care of it himself. He was extremely professional, sent me a follow up email confirming what the project consisted off, and arranged for an electrical quote for me for some additional work I requested. After the infuriating three months I had put up with from the first crew he was not only professional and very efficient, he stepped up and helped me my tenant obligations in a very short time.
Description of Work: Mr. Perez came in and salavaged a another contractor's botched general construction and repair project for me on very short notice. Which included: Finishing a tiling project, finishing a pantry build out, Interior wall and trim painting and plumbing on an existing duplex.
