I originally hired TruGreen because I was noticing a couple of bald spots in my lawn of St. Augustine grass. The TruGreen technician who came out to look at the problem wasn't sure what the cause was, but he assured me that with repeated treatments it would go away. Six months later the bald areas were larger, and there were more of them. I requested that a manager come out and reassess the situation. He showed up when I wasn't at home, and then he followed up with a phone call. He told me he wasn't sure what the problem was, but that he would administer a "special" fertilizer at no additional cost to me. The winter came, and my grass went dormant. This spring, as some areas sprang back to life, the bald areas got worse and more numerous. I gave TruGreen one last chance to fix the problem (or, at the very least, diagnose it). Once again I was told by a manager that they didn't know what was causing the problem. They suggested it may be due to the fact that I have been mulching tree debris down into the grass - putting the blame on me after a year of guessing on their part. They did another "special" fertilizer treatment at no additional cost. I finally decided I'd had enough and cancelled my service. My lawn is now almost completely dead in the back yard. It's sad to look at. After canceling my service with TruGreen, I had an organic lawn and soil service come out and give me their opinion. They immediately identified my problem: Take-all Root Rot, a fungus that is very hard to get rid of. I'm now considering hiring the organic service to treat my lawn. They cost the same as TruGreen, but their service also includes tree and shrub care. And because they use organic products like liquid compost, I will feel good about letting my baby girl play on the grass when she's old enough.

We hired True Green when we noticed our lawn was getting thin and brown patches were developing. At the first consultation, the sales rep couldn't tell me for sure what was wrong with my lawn. I should have backed out then. I went ahead and signed up for a regular fertilization and weed control service. Our front yard saw improvement, but our back yard got much worse. Out back yard is not very sad looking, and the True Green people can't give me a solid explanation, though they admit it looks bad. They have come out to do extra treatments at no cost, to try to improve the situation, but nothing has worked.

The weeds have started to die off. They have used different treatments for different weeds. They applied fertilizer and everything appears to be green and growing well. The price is reasonable; the first visit was $49 and the $95 about every six weeks.

It is working out well. I had these purple weeds growing in my yard. I was told of some products to buy and apply to the lawn on my own and well I ended up killing a big section of my lawn. I decided to let the pros do this for me. One time when they were out it rained an hour later and I called them back. They offered to re-spray everything for free since it rained.

The lawn at each property looks so good. Each is so green and healthy. I believe that has something to do with the kind of training and knowledge this company puts into each of its workers. They are always in good spirits and smile when you greet them.

We cannot yet see evidence that the chinch bugs are gone, but I do believe that it will take months before the damaged areas of the lawn are recovered entirely. However, my biggest beef with this company is the constant, relentless solicitation for more services. I have told them that I would be in touch IF and when we need further services, yet, they continue to call my house every two - three days (for weeks!)

Didn't see much change in grass quality. Still had to weed, once treated neighbors yard two days before they returned, though promised next day, always calling to sell more service.

THE TECHNICIAN ARRIVED AND SPENT A COUPLE OF MINUTES IN THE LAWN. HE SPRAYED A FEW CHEMICALS AND LEFT. THE PRICE OF $50.46 PER TREATMENT SEEMS EXPENSIVE, BUT I WANT TO SEE IF SOME OF THE WEEDS DISAPPEAR THAT HE SAID WOULD. THE PREVIOUS OWNER DID NOT ADEQUATELY WATER THE GRASS, SO I WANT TO SEE THE RESULTS AFTER THE LAWN GETS IMPROVED WATERING.

THE LAWN LOOKED PRETTY GOOD DURING THE TIME THEY TREATED OUR YARD. BUT, I DON'T BELIEVE THEIR SERVICES TO BE WORTH THE AMOUNT OF MONEY THAT WE PAID THEM.

GOOD RELIABLE SERVICE. RESPONSIVE TO CUSTOMER CONCERNS. GOOD RESULTS.

CHEMLAWN HAS BEEN WORKING ON OUR LAWN FOR OVER A YEAR NOW AND WE HAVE SEEN AN IMPROVEMENT IN THE OVERALL QUALITY OF THE GRASS. THEY ARE ALWAYS ON TIME AND VERY COURTEOUS. IF I LEAVE THE GATE LOCKED IN THE BACK, THEY ALWAYS CALL AND COME BACK WITHOUT CHARGE. ALSO, IF THERE IS A PERSISTENT WEED PROBLEM, THEY WILL KEEP COMING OUT UNTIL THE PROBLEM IS UNDER CONTROL WITHOUT CHARGE.

ESTIMATOR WAS ON TIME AND EXPLAINED THE SERVICES IN DETAIL THAT THEY WOULD BE PERFORMING FOR ME. THE MONTHLY CREW HAS BEEN RELIABLE AND PERFORMS THE SERVICES I AM PAYING FOR. I WOULD REFER THIS COMPANY.

THEY SUPPOSEDLY COME AND DO TREATMENTS WHILE I AM NOT THERE. I NEVER SEE THEM OR TALK TO THEM.

THE LAWN LOOKED GREAT, BUT I THOUGHT THE PRICES WERE TOO HIGH. THEY ALSO KEPT CALLING US AND CALLING US AFTER WE CANCELLED THE SERVICE TO TRY TO GET US BACK. THE PHONE CALLS BECAME ANNOYING.

THE SERVICE TECHS ARE ALWAYS ON TIME, PROFESSIONAL AND DO A GREAT JOB!

SERVICE IS VERY DEPENDABLE. WHEN THERE IS A SPECIFIC CONCERN, THE COMPANY IS PROMPT IN GETTING TO THE HOUSE TO ADDRESS THE ISSUE.

I NO LONGER HAVE TO HAVE AN APPOINTMENT WITH THEM. THEY COME WHEN TREATMENT IS NEEDED BECAUSE I AM ON A YEARLY PLAN. THEY HAVE PLACED A LOCK ON MY GATE SO THEY CAN ENTER THE YARD WHEN NEEDED. THAT MAKES IT BETTER FOR ME. I DO NOT HAVE TO BE HOME. MY TREES AND SHRUBS HAVE NEVER LOOKED BETTER.
