+ -1 moreTruGreen came out and gave us an estimate and told us what they were going to do and promised that they would take care of all of our "weed" problems and make our grass look beautiful. As a matter of fact - they contacted us as we had our home up for sale, and said that Curb appeal would help sell our home. Well - we are still in our home! 1. They burnt our lawn and I have absolutely no idea what they did but we had MORE weeds than we did from the start. 2. They do NOT stand by there word. One salesperson will tell you one thing and then the other will tell you something else. 3. They hound you and hound you and you ask to be off their call list and that you absolutely do not want their services, yet they continue to call. 4. Although they ruined my lawn I still had to pay them. What a rip off!!!! 5. They even tried calling us for the past 2 years wanting our services.

TruGreen came out and said that they were going to aerate the lawn and fertilize it, put down lime or nitrogen - I really don't recall which - but whatever they did - it burnt my lawn soooooooo bad it took a year for it to recover. They hounded me and made me promise after promise that they could fix it - I told them that they promised that previously and they ruined my lawn.

+ -1 moreafter the winter thaw we noticed the lawn of our recently bought home had deteriorated from not being taken care of during the time the house was on the market.. After contacting a few different services we decided to go with Scott for the repair of our law. Scott displayed great knowledge of lawn care and explained his philosophy on helping to maintain a customers lawn. Scott sprayed our lawn and returned 3 weeks later to de-thatch and reseed the lawn. Although there are still a few bare spots the majority of the lawn has rebounded and looks wonderful and Scott will be re-seeding the remaining bad spots this fall. Although Scotts was slightly more expensive than one of the bigger companies we considered we were very pleased with the personal interaction which was well worth the extra cost. The only drawback with working with Scotts was that it sometimes took a while before our calls were returned. Overall we are very pleased with the services provided by Scotts and have decided to use their services for all our lawn care needs.
Description of Work: sprayed for grub and weed control. Followed up with de-thatching and reseeding of lawn

+ -1 moreI stopped using Trugreen because the service wasn't good, and they killed my lawn. They said they had a new guy, and he over treated the lawn. They never did anything to compensate me for killing it. The treatments didn't kill the crab grass, but killed the grass. It went from bad to worse. I finally told them to forget it, just don't come back. They kept wanting me to do other types of treatments, instead of just doing what they were suppose to do. They just wanted me to spend more money! I felt like I wasted my money, and didn't get any service in return. They still call me all the time. I would never use them again.
Description of Work: I use Trugreen for lawn treatment services. They were here 2 years ago. They were having a special. They were suppose to kill the crab grass, and other weeds from spring through fall.

+ 0 moreWe have used them for about 3-4 years. They are very expensive for what they do. They come back and do it again at no extra cost if I am not satisfied. They sometimes don’t do it just the way I want. They always call me ahead of time.

+ -1 moreUsed TruGreen in 2011 and they were reasonably priced.Starting in January 2012, I start receiving offers in the mail for services in 2012 - and if I prepay I get a special price.So, as I am thinking about this ... suddenly they show up and start doing my yard again as well as my neighbor's yard.I call them multiple times and they don't return my calls.Finally, I just start sending emails and calling saying that I want them to just cancel all accounts ... So, I get another call saying they want me back as a customer, and I say ... "send me a quote"Next thing I know they show up spraying my yard and doing a bug treatment, then send me another bill.THEY DON'T LISTENSO ... NOW I HAVE TOLD THEM ONCE AGAIN TO CANCEL MY SERVICES AGAIN IN WRITING.THEY SAY THEY'LL GIVE ME 1/2 OFF FOR ONE OF THE SERVICES I DIDN'T ORDER IN THE FIRST PLACE. SO ... + -1 moreTerrible company to do business with. If you check my other reviews you will see that I have given excellent ratings to most companies that deserve it.
Description of Work: Trugreen has been treating my Lawn for years. Last year I decided in the Spring to switch to another company that ended up being even less responsive than Trugreen. I went ahead and had Trugreen treat my yard 5 times last year. The guy that came out did a pretty good job, but he has since left the company. With the unusually warm late winter and spring my yard is filled with weeds already and had yet to be treated. Though I asked them to skip the first treatment I called a few weeks ago and asked if they would come out. They told me someone would be out in the next two weeks. At the end of week 2 nobody had shown, so I called them again. This time I was promised last week that someone would be out to treat my lawn by the end of the week. As of late Saturday no one had been out so today I have contacted Creative Lawn Care about getting their services. I would have glady continued doing business with Trugreen, but apparently they are so big they don't need to be bothered by complaining customers.

+ -1 moreI have been using them for about 15years. Their prices vary according to the program you are on. I have a yearly program and you can have different things done. I get my trees sprayed; lawn sprayed and if there is a problem they will come back out. I have no complaints about the quality of their service. They come back quickly if I have a problem.

+ 0 moreThey are very good. They call before they come just to make sure that they will have access to the yard. Last year I had a problem with grubs and they came out several times to try to get rid of them and they did not charge me anything extra. They also treat the trees in my yard for pest control. They have a flexible payment schedule and they don?t try to tack on extra work if it is unnecessary.

+ 0 moreDo not hire this company... as mentioned by others, when under contract, the prices seemed to fluctuate quite a bit unless I called. I was regularly called with "upselling" to purchase other "necessary" treatments (using scare tactics about the health of my yard) The worst was when I sold the property, I have been harrassed for YEARS with phone calls. Each time, I ask to be removed from the call list. The last call was absolutely harrasing, where the rep would not confirm that I'm being removed from the call list, but continued to talk over me asking questions about my service and how they could renew it. He then hung up on me.
Description of Work: I signed a contract for basic fertilization services for several years.
