Description of Work: Pest control on plants, plant, shrub fertilization.

Description of Work: We were home today and watched the guy show up and treat a strip around the edge of our front yard. He didn't treat the whole front yard or touch our back yard at all! Disappointing.

Description of Work: TruGreen fertilized my lawn and they treated my house for pests.

Description of Work: We started with Trugreen in 2005. We tore out the terrible sod the builder had put in and had TruGreen slit seed the yard with Blue Fescue (a hardier grass). They had to slit seed twice as we had a terrible rain storm within hours of their doing it the first time. We waited until spring to see what came in and they elected to re slit seed (at no additional cost to us). Since then, we have had a yearly contract with them. We had some communication problems a few years ago but they have gone back to local call dispatching and that took care of most of the problems. We have the nicest lawn in the neighborhood and get compliments on it all the time. We have several neighbors who now use TruGreen due to the appearance of our yard. We pay a set amount at the beginning of the year and that covers all of the normal fertilizing, weed control, grub treatment etc. If we see any weeds or problems we call and they come out and treat immediately at no additional cost as part of our yearly agreement. We have to pay extra for aerating and they are a bit pricey on that but we use them anyway as they are very careful with regard to our sprinkler system. I have recommended them to numerous people and overall been very satisfied with the price and quality of the service. I am rarely home when they perform the service but they always leave a handwritten form telling us what they did, whether to water or not, how low to cut the grass etc. The only negative is that sometimes it is very difficult to read the handwriting on the paperwork. One year, I had not gotten around to dusting my rose bushes to keep the bugs away and they noted the problem on our paperwork. I don't even have them taking care of the shrubs and they apparently keep an eye out for problems anyway. I understand from some friends that if you pay by the treatment there can be confusion about treatments ordered versus treatments done which has caused some disatisfaction. I recommend paying annually and then they take care of everything.

Description of Work: We were approached by a "salesperson" in our driveway last spring. He said Trugreen could give us a great price and the lawn would look beautiful. He offered us the teaser price and then the following applications would cost a bit more. We decided we would try them as there wasn't a contract and we could cancel anytime. Well, after the 2nd application, we did not see ANY difference in our lawn. To be honest, I don't know if they actually treated our yard. I never saw anyone treat the yard, but we did have the little white flags stuck in the front yard. I called to cancel the service. The woman on the phone told us they would send someone out to look at the yard and give us a free treatment. The yard still did not look as though anyone treated it. We called and cancelled and the company is trying to make us pay for the "FREE" treatment. This company has been a big waste of time. We noticed our neighbors down the street use Scott's Lawn service and their yard looks great. We decided to watch the Trugreen truck in our neighborhood to compare the lawn he was "treating" and their lawn looked like ours...not like a yard that is being treated by a "lawn care company". Now I am getting harassing phone calls from the company. I asked the last woman to send someone out to look at our yard, or at least call me about it. I have not heard form anyone. I really question whether any treatment was even put on on lawn. Here's my DON'T list: DON'T use Trugreen

Description of Work: TruGreen came in November for the last application. They treat the lawn, the trees and bushes, do the aeration and they do pest control for the lawn.

Description of Work: Found an advert on a stick stuck in my yard today from TruGreen. Don't do that.

Description of Work: They came out to spray the lawn. The also edging, mulching, and weeding.

Description of Work: I SIGNED UP FOR THE 6 APPLICATION PROCESS. THEY WERE DISHONEST, AND DOUBLED THE ESTIMATE SIZE OF MY LAWN. THEY GAVE ME THE FINAL APPLICATION FREE, BUT I SERIOUSLY DOUBT THEIR HONESTY. AFTERWARDS, THEY CONTINUED TO CALL ME FOR BUSINESS, AND I HAD TO TELL ABOUT 5 DIFFERENT PEOPLE TO STOP CALLING ME.
