Description of Work: We called last week and set up an service for Kiwi to come out and clean our carpets and air ducts. They said they would come between 2 and 4 on Saturday. I rushed home from work to wait. They called at 3:30ish and said they were running late and would be there between 4:30 and 5. Fine. At 5:45, I wondered what was going on! We were having company over that evening, and I didn't want wet carpets. My husband called, and all they said was that they could come out on Tuesday! We'll be out of town on Tuesday for a funeral! If Tuesday would have worked, we would have scheduled for a Tuesday! I don't mind if people are running late. But NO phone call to let us know they weren't coming at all is COMPLETELY UNACCEPTABLE. I wonder how long we would have sat around wondering if we wouldn't have called! Unprofessional, at best.

+ -1 moreThe cleaning itself was a moderately decent job, but they did not do what they advertised. This was the first time we had called Kiwi and we knew the base price. What they did not advertise is the extra cost they try to charge if you want them to scrub or use chemical treatments on the really bad areas. All the furniture was moved to get close to the walls and they were polite enough. The heavy traffic areas could have been done better though.

+ -1 moreThe cleaners arrived on time and immediately moved the furniture to make room for the cleaning job. A couple of the rooms that needed to be cleaned were thick pile and are not easy to clean. Our teenage daughters room was the real reason we called Kiwi, as it was utterly filthy. I never thought they would get it clean, but they did. It looks like a new carpet now. The only thing I did not like was the attempt to charge me more for the stairway. They based this on the number of steps on the staircase, which I thought was frivolous. Aside from that, the job went well.

The crew was very helpful and they know what they are doing. They did a great job on my carpet and were able to get up all the stains. I will definitely use them again soon.

+ -1 moreThere were only three rooms that are cleaned on a regular basis by Kiwi. The first time they cleaned our carpets, the entire house was done. Since then, only the living room, den and family room are cleaned. Kiwi concentrates on the center of the rooms, where it is the dirtiest. If we ask them to do extra, we have to pay for it. They arrive at the time we have set up in advance and always do a good job.

+ -1 moreI have the carpets cleaned every three months. I have to pay upfront, which is fine, as I do not mind at all. Actually, I would rather pay upfront than have to worry about being billed all the time. The people who do the cleaning were ok, I guess. I always get a different technician coming out, and I don't like that very much. I would rather have the same person coming out- that way I would know exactly what to expect. I do not mind other people, but everybody does a different quality of work.

+ -1 moreThe initial carpet-cleaning job was $99 and every time we call them after that is only $25. This comes in handy when our grandchildren make a mess. Kiwi comes over and cleans just the one area that needs it. They moved the furniture the first time, but we move it for all other trips if it needs to be moved. Our carpets are always spotless these days.

+ -1 moreWe have used Kiwi before, so after the initial trip the rest of the trips are only twenty dollars. They clean the heavy traffic areas real well, going over it several times if necessary. When Kiwi did the carpets the first time, all furniture was moved. The subsequent trips this is not done because it is not needed. If we want to do the full cleaning job, we would have to pay the full price again. We may end up doing that maybe once a year.

The work was great; they moved the furniture and shampooed the carpets in an efficient manner. They told us to call within a year, and they will return to do a freshen up cleaning for approximately four dollars a room. The carpets look new again, and we will be calling them to return for the freshen up cleaning before the year ends.

+ -1 moreThe first time Kiwi cleaned our carpets, they did a very thorough job on the whole first floor. All furniture was moved then scrubbed, and they went over areas twice if they needed it. After the initial cleaning, however, they just do a once over without moving furniture. That is usually all that is needed after the first job anyway, and it does not take much time out of my day either.

Their prices were very reasonable, and they were able to explain the specific cleaning solution and the difference in steam and foam. The cleaning was scheduled as soon as a day and time were set, and the technician was on time. He added stain shield to the carpet and gave me a one-year guarantee. If he has to come out within the year for any reason, he will clean each room for four dollars. He did a good job, and the carpet was nice and clean.

+ -1 moreKiwi Steam Services does great work. About eight months ago, they came and shampooed four rooms in our house. They were very efficient and moved everything in the room to clean the carpets. When they were finished, everything looked great. The carpets dried very quickly and smelled great. Kiwi offers a one-year guarantee, where they will come back within a year and do a fresh up job for four dollars a room. They were just here to do the fresh up, and we were pleased with the charges.
Description of Work: I used Kiwi Steam Services to shampoo four rooms in my house. They moved the furniture and cleaned the carpets; there were no spots left. The carpet cleaning comes with a year guarantee, and we just used them to come out and refresh the carpets under the warranty.
