Kiwi Carpet Cleaning

I used Kiwi services years ago and was consistently pleased with their service. I remember being a bit hesitant because their prices were a few dollars more but also remember the few extra dollars were well worth it. The carpet was always clean, dried quickly, and technicians were professionals. Fast forward nine years later and a home with all wood flooring (except one room)…and we find ourselves needing to clean one small room! Once again, while other companies were a few dollars less; I am confident in Kiwi Services. After one company failed to show up to clean one room; Shirley called me to check in to see how things were moving along with my search for a carpet cleaner. I knew better than to try to save a few pennies. Shirley was patient and understanding and got us all squared away. #YouGetWhatYouPayFor

Kiwi always does a great job cleaning my carpet. The warranty cleaning allows me to get my carpet cleaned multiple times throughout the year.

Several of the carpets had to be returned for a second cleaning; a couple for a third cleaning. While the staff was apologetic for not doing the job right the first time, there was no good reason for multiple attempts.

The carpet cleaning was wonderful. We ended up moving all of our heavy furniture, ie: bed, dining room table, etc. because they only move furniture up to 75 lbs. I was impressed with how wonderful our carpets looked after he was done.

They were early on pickup and delivery. Awesome job! Rug looks and smells refreshed.

They showed up on time. My wife hired them on recommendation from somebody else but I didn't think the method they used was really getting the carpet clean. Purpose wise, because it was just a pad that was spinning like if you were on a pad spinning something. It was barely cleaning, to me it was just cleaning the surface it wasn't sucking things up.

When they first came out they didn’t do a good job but they were nice about it and they got someone to come out a second time for free and they did a better job.

Called on 11/5/15 to have my area rug cleaned. They offered to pick it up that afternoon between 4-6 pm. I took off work to be sure I would be home by 4 pm. When no one had arrived nor called by 6pm, I called the Kiwi customer service line who called the technician while I was on hold. Was told the tech was in traffic but could be there in 1 to 1/12 hours or I could reschedule. Since I had been home since 3:45 that afternoon, I asked that the rug be picked up that night. No one ever showed up, nor called. I had to call the next day, 11/6 to let them know they had an issue and cancel my order. Would not use again nor recommend to anyone. Review Update: On 11/9/15 I received a call from the Customer Service department at Kiwi who apologized for the inconvenience and tried salvage the order. I explained that I had already called another carpet cleaning co. and would be using them instead. He acknowledged the issue and asked me to consider using Kiwi in the future. Frankly that is all you can ask of a company. You cannot undo what has been done, but try to fix the issue in the future. That phone call left me with a better opinion of the company.

They were fantastic!!!!! Carpet smells ahhhhhmazing!!!! And NO stains left any where. I have used them for five years and they give the best results over any other carpet cleaning company. Thank you Kiwi!!

In a nutshell...the company sent two men to pick up the carpet on 7/24/15. After several calls to find out when my rug would be ready it was delivered by one person to put it back on the floor on 8/13. The rug looked like it hadn't been cleaned at all .... sent it back for recleaning. The person from Kiwi who took it back was not pleased that the rug had to be recleaned. I called the office to tell them and they said they would contact the rug cleaner to let them know the rug was headed back to the store. On Monday, 8/24/15, I phoned Kiwi to find out the status of my rug. They said someone would call me back on Monday after 11 am with an update. On Tuesday, 8/25/15, I called Kiwi again to find out the status of my rug. I was instructed to call back if I hadn't heard from a Kiwi person by 3pm. At 3 pm, I called and was told that they rug was ready for delivery and that they would be at my home between 9-11 am. I informed them that the delivery time did not work for us due to prior commitments and we agreed to delivery between 3-5 pm. They called at 9:30 am to see if they could bring the rug this morning, after I told them between 3-5 pm because we weren't at home. I told the driver that as soon as I was available at my home that I would call. At noon, Kiwi called again to see if they could deliver the rug early. I told them that my husband had just gotten home and that they could deliver the rug. Bottom line: The pretty expensive rug pad I ordered thru Kiwi was suppose to fit the dimensions of the rug and it was too big. I had to trim quite a bit off to place it under the rug. Again, they sent one man to deliver the rug...nice enough but wanted to get the rug down on the floor, collect the balance due and leave. The rug had not been laid straight so we had to move the furniture again and straighten it. Not an easy task for two people with back issues. And the final statement: MY RUG IS RUINED !!! We will never use them again, nor will we ever recommend them to anyone.

Kiwi's service has always been excellent. I have made very good use of the warranty cleanings that Kiwi offers and have been using them as needed all year. My carpets have been very nicely cleaned and I've been very happy with both the air duct cleaning service and the carpet cleaning service Kiwi has performed at my home. The pricing has been very fair. I will reuse them in the future.

I have been using kiwi since 2002 they have been a wonderful services provider for me. They have repaired my carpet, clean my furniture and my wood floors. They were professional they are concern about my carpet and asked if I need other services and if so they would give me a good deal. thanks

They take care of the customers. Sometimes different employees come out and some work faster than others. I do call ahead of time to let know them know that I want someone to take their time.

Kiwi was scheduled to clean the carpets before we moved into a house that we had just bought. We were waiting for the cleaning to be done before we moved items into the carpeted rooms. The service technician stood us up on Friday. Customer service said he decided he wanted to take the day off. So, with a lot of prodding, they confirmed and re-scheduled us for Monday with a different technician. Again, we were stood up. Customer service couldn't tell us for three hours after the appointment time whether or not he was coming. Finally, their rep exclaimed how awful the service had been and that a manager would be calling us. As you might imagine, the manager never called. We contacted Power Chem immediately (after giving up on Kiwi) and the job was done to our satisfaction by the end of the lunch hour the same day!!

We called to have carpets cleaned in our new home, as well as have rugs picked up to be cleaned at their Houston location. This became a nightmare. The technician simply sprayed a solution on the carpet and never cleaned it. Said they were in fine condition and he "gave" me an upgraded barrier protectant spray. Still charged my several hundred dollars for a cleaning he never performed. The real nightmare came when one of our wool rugs went missing. After several attempts to locate it, I was informed that one of their technicians had stolen numerous rugs and they were attempting to replace it. Awful service from the start, Horrible job on the cleaning. Will never use them again and can't recommend them at all.

I used Kiwi 3 years ago and loved the service. They did such a great job, so I kept their contact info should I need them again. I bought a new home and called them out to clean my carpet. It was a bad situation from the minute the technician arrived. He was scheduled to arrive on a Saturday between 9 am and 11 am, with a 1 hour advance call prior to showing up. I woke up at 8 am to find the technician sitting in front of my house. Normally this is a good thing, but not when you're trying to get everyone up and dressed. I immediately phoned the office to inform them of my irritation. Once I allowed him in, he was very rude. Since I had just bought my home, I really wanted the carpet cleaned. Otherwise, I would have sent him packing. It was raining when he arrived. He came in, brought heavy equipment and didn't bother to remove his shoes. Lucky for him, the carpet was in pretty bad shape. He gave looks as if he was disgusted. He didn't bother saying good morning, which wasn't fine. I showed him the areas that needed cleaning and left him to his work. As he was nearing the cleaning process, he demanded me to come up stairs to answer questions. His exact words were "COME UP HERE". Even my son was shocked and pointed out that "he's telling you what to do in your house". I was beside myself, but went upstairs anyway. After finishing the cleaning, he wrote up the receipt and handed it to me to sign. He didn't show me where to sign, didn't explain anything and he didn't give me an opportunity to inspect the work, not that I wanted him in my home any longer than necessary. I said goodbye. He turned around, walked out and let the door slam behind him. No goodbye, nada. I try to be fair with everyone. I called the office and explained the situation. I received a call in less than 30 minutes from the manager, who apologized. I gave her the 411 of that whole experience and informed her that I love their service, but if they wanted to keep me as a customer, they should never send that technician to my house again. I don't feel a company should be held accountable for employees attitude and actions, but I do feel an employee like this one should be severely reprimanded. I don't know what his problem was, but he should have checked it at the door.

I have used Kiwi for years and love their service. They don't use water, but natural cleaning products that leave my carpets smelling and looking fresh. They have responsible and able technicians that have always worked with me to keep my carpets in top shape. They vacuum the carpets in initial cleaning, but in the followups, they ask that you do that. They will move chairs etc in the initial cleaning, but in the followup, if you want them out of the room, you must do that. I am happy to work with them, because the results are terrific. My berber nylon carpets are over 17 years old ... and granted they don't get hard use, but they don't look anywhere near that old! I attribute that to the care that Kiwi takes of them. In addition, I love that I have a dispatcher at the other end of the phone who knows within minutes where my technician is, and when they will be there (within the window given me at scheduling). They call to say that he will be there in the later part of the window, near the beginning of the timeframe. When I call to ask something, they have my account and my information right at hand. I don't know how they do that, but I have always felt that was something extra special about KIWI.
