Description of Work: Simpsons tree service cut down a very large red oak tree in my front yard. It was close to my house so I needed a professional job. The tree came down in four hours with only minimal damage to a few pieces of gutter guard. I just bent them back into shape and everything looks fine.

Description of Work: I had what supposed to be a thorough tree trimming. When the job was quoted the guy said that my trees wouldn't need another trimming for about 3 years. I feel like that is not the case. When I went out to check the work and asked for a little mor rimming done I got hte impression that the guys were irritated because they had already put away their equipment. I think part of the problem is that the person who comes out and gives you a quote is not on the job when the job is being performed. I felt like I was sold one job and had a different job completed.

 + -1 moreI have used Simpson's Tree Service twice and have been very pleased both times. Their price was the best I found for an insured tree cutter. They are very professional, quick, and most impressive is that their crew has been with the company for many years. They clean up nicely, and even removed a squirrel's nest and rehomed it! I wouldn't use anyone else.
Description of Work: Simpson's Tree Service removed two palm trees, one live oak tree and two large sago palms.

 + -1 moreWhen I scheduled the work, I made it very clear that I wanted to be on premises while they were working. I was told that they would call me on my cell about 10 minutes before they showed up so that I could meet them there (I work just a few blocks away). The time was tentatively set for around 1:00. I wanted to be there when they started so that I could move my project car out of the driveway, put my dog inside, etc. I finally got a call around 4:30, stating that they were finishing up! I raced home and found that that they had been there working (without my permission) for several hours. They had chased my old infirm dog inside the dog door and trapped her inside with a board. My old car was covered with sawdust (they did attempt to blow it off with a leaf blower, but a lot of the sawdust got inside the car). So you can say that they completely failed the simple task of FOLLOWING MY DIRECTIONS. I will not employ them again.
Description of Work: - Major trimming to 1 ash tree - Minor trimming of 4 pine trees - Removal (no stump grinding) of one hackberry tree

 + -1 moreThey did cut down a few branches of the trees and it looked pretty good. After putting the few branches away, I found out that the large tree in my backyard about 15 feet up had a hole in it. It was probably going to die anyway. I would have appreciated it if they could have told me about it. They did not tell me anything about it. My wife asked him to tell whether this tree is going to die or not. They said it is not their thing to determine whether the tree is going to die or not. It is okay, but they could have told me about the hole in the tree, so that I could have made the determination whether the tree is dying or not. They did damage the fence when some of the branches fell on the fence and busted some pickets. They taped the pickets back together with duct tape. They were punctual. I would not use their service in the future.
Description of Work: I used Simpson's Tree Service to cut down a couple of trees in my yard. I last used their service in January.
