Mike Tidwell Plumbing LLC

Two guys came out from Tidwell Plumbing-- one was the plumber and I think the other guy was an assistant? Both were extremely professional, regardless. The work was done quickly which was good as my dishwasher installer arrived just as the disposal was being installed. I will definitely use Tidwell Plumbing again-- nice people, good work, small business. As for the cost-- I don't remember exactly what they charged. They were there for maybe 90 minutes total? I've just moved and I've had so many people in and out of my place that it's all becoming a blur. I do know when I paid that I wasn't shocked by the cost.

Mike was very helpful and even provided a one year guarantee on his work.

Mike came when he said, left in approximately three later. After surviving all weekend, I was glad to see him. He was very affable radiating goodwill and was very down home.

I started using Mike as my own plumber, he was my Mom's plumber for years. She always spoke very highly of Mike. His team replaced all the plumbing in the attic, huge job, but the guys were great and easy to work with! I finally got to meet Mike last Friday, as he came to fix the leak in one of my bathrooms. I would highly recommend Mike to anyone looking for a new plumber.

These guys were awesome. The work took several hours longer than they expected but didn't charge more than their quote. I had preveiosly been quoted double for the repair from a different plumbing company. This price included a new faucet and handles for the tub which he installed for a small extra fee (also included in the $650) I was very pleased with their professionalism and friendliness. Not surly like the other plumber I had used before.

Mike Tidwell Plumbing was nice. They fixed a kink on the hose of my sink and they did not charge me. They came on time, they were polite and nice and do what they say they'll do. The price wasn't bad.

Carl from Tidwell Plumbing came out, he got there before me, and went ahead and got started. After doing some intial checking he discovered that turning off the supply line to our sprinkler system stopped the leak. What a blessing. Lawn has since dried up, and all is good. Thanks so much to Carl, with Tidwell. I had a number of questions, and he was very patient as I picked his brain. I think I have found our new plumber, and will certainly be call them out for any plumbing needs in the future.

We called and set up an appointment for service. After describing the problems, we got an estimate over the phone. They arrived exactly on time, with a phone call prior to arrival. Work was completed promptly. We were totally satisfied.

Overall, the service has been very good.

OVERALL, THEY WERE PROMPT and PROFESSIONAL. THEY EXPLAINED EVERTHING WE SAW IN THE CAMERA AND ADVISED TO HAVE THE ROOTS CLEANED OUT YEARLY.

I was able to get an appointment for this work quickly. The person on the phone was friendly and helpful. The plumber arrived on time and fixed my problems quickly and left everything clean. The problems were: leaky pipe under a sink, toilet stopped up, a different toilet wouldn't stop running, and the kitchen garbage disposal wouldn't run. (My house is old, so occasionally a lot of problems crop up at once.) I felt the charges were reasonable and would definitely use Mike Tidwell Plumbing again.

The water heater was leaking and needed to be replaced. Mike and Adel seemed honest when they came out to assess and gave us a reasonable quote for a new one. They were also able to bring the house up to code including carbon monoxide detectors. I was very happy with their communication, their work, the new water heater, and they are based not too far from our house. I would look forward to calling them again if another plumbing issue came along. The inspector that came by after the installation complimented Mike's company too.

It has been awhile since they performed the service, but my new garbage disposal is still working great. They were professional and had the job done quickly.

Were able to squeeze me in on the same day. Had to call twice but that’s ok. Showed up on time. Found and fixed the leak. Cleaned up well before leaving. Courteous and professional about responding to my questions. I am very happy and appreciative of the work performed. So why an overall rating of 'B' (good)? ** Were not as forthcoming as expected with the estimate before starting the work. I had to ask about the labor charges ($165 per hour), etc. They were ready to dig and find the leak which is a good thing but it is important to make the customer aware of the estimates before starting the work. ** Cut out sheetrock without asking. I think it is fair to ask, especially when knowing that plumbers are not responsible for any sheetrock repairs. ** Charged me $60 to replace a hose bib when the labor was already covered. They were waiting for the leak repair to dry up to turn water back on. I still think that Mike Plumbing did a good job and I will definitely call them for future plumbing needs. UPDATE - I am learning after some research and a discussion with a plumber friend that I was overcharged for the leak job. $535 (excl. $60 for a hosebib replacement) is too high for a leak fix. Point in case is the Mike Tidwell's review that was provided on Sept 8 which was also a leak job and costed $145. I understand that no two jobs are the same, but even doubling it ($300) doesn't bring it close to what I was charged. Perhaps the reason is that there were two people on the job, but then my question will be why there two to begin with? I think a reasonable price would have been some where close to $250 (1 person x 3 hrs x $80 per hour) for the leak job. Can I request that Mike considers giving me a refund for the difference of $285? Greatly appreciated! Nov 20 Update - Mike called me and was very understanding. He refunded me the adjusted amount I requested. Therefore, I am updating the review. Thanks a lot Mike.

My phone call to them was handled very professionally and courteously. Mike called to let me know they were on their way and would arrive in about 30 minutes, which they did. After looking at the faucet, I was told exactly what they were going to do and how much it would cost. The job was promptly and satisfacturely completed. Very prompt, polite and professional. We will certainly continue to use them.

Mike arranged to have a team at my house around lunchtime. At noon I received a call saying they were running late on a previous call but would definitely get to me that day. I received a further call to say a van was on its way. They were very professional and explained everything to me, I would certainly use Mike Tidwell Plumbing again.

We didn't use him but we would use him in a minute. We had contacted a big plumbing company and they said we had a broken pipe and it would be $1,000. We also got a quote from them to replace all the pipes. Mike Tidwell was very honest. He doesn't do roofing; otherwise we would have used him for that. He could have easily said that we had a broken pipe. Mike said he would give us a lower price to replace all the pipes. He was very, very nice and we wish we could use him for something. We would absolutely use him. He beat the other price by a lot; it was several hundred dollars.

What's nice before I wrote my review, all the other reviews are so consistent, exactly what I was going to say. I searched, got recommendations from friends and co-workers and then went on Angie's List and searched again. Finally decided on Mike Tidwell Plumbing. Mike returned my call immediately; his employee arrived on time and was very courteous. After he looked at everything I asked when can he come back and fix everything. Now! He had everything with him. Everything is working fine, extremely satisfied and their prices are very reasonable. Thank you Mike!

He was professional, courteous, and knew what he was doing. Didn't have to leave to get things to fix the problem either. Brought everything with him. He found it, fixed it and was out the door....and the best part yet it worked and is still working months later. What more can you ask for.

They were very courteous and nice. They informed me of the time that they would arrive. They told me they were busy but still made time to come out and help me. They answered all of my questions.

They gave me a cost estimate for removing and resetting the toilet. Then they gave an additional cost estimate for replacing the flange if that was the problem, which is apparently common when flooring has been replaced as ours was in the recent past. When they removed the toilet they showed me the problem with the flange. They finished the work and cleaned up nicely.

They have done work in my home on several occasions and all of the work was excellent. They gave me prices up front and stuck with those prices. I would recommend them to anybody who needs a really good plumber. Mike is a great guy and has been in business for a long time and all of his help he has have been good. I can only say nice things about him and his crew. If he gives you an estimate, that is the price you pay and sometimes they do a little extra work without being asked.

They do such a great job! I have used them 3 separate times now. They are very reasonably price and they call you right back! They always showed up on time and I never had to worry about them not coming during my remodeling project.
