 + -1 moreWe gave a deposit and he is going to buy the wood. Phase 1 starts on Thursday 10 June 2010. We will let you know after it is completed how our experience was. But at this time, we are extremely happy with this contractor. (Updated, 6/16/10) Excellent. Very professional. Mr. Zyad was very knowledgeable of the product and techniques. We decided on the floor type and color and he purchased it. The crew showed up on time and proceeded to remove the furniture, remove the carpets and install the wooden floors. They worked well and in a timely manner. Very well done. My wife is happy !
Description of Work: Met with representative on 01 June and he agreed to return with wood floor samples on 02 June. He arrived on time with samples, and we discussed our requirement. He prepared an estimate on the spot and we agreed on a start date on 10 June 2010. Work will be done in 2 phases: Phase 1 (10 June 2010) - remove dining room carpet and replace with TEAK wood. Phase 2 (sate to be confirmed) - remove carpet in living room, master bedroom and adjoining closet and replace with TEAK wood. Note: the dep[osit provided was 50% of Phase 1 cost, but included the procurement of all the required TEAK to perform all phases of work (plus some spares..). Representative was extremely knowledgeable and provided significant input to your decision-making (though he did leave it up to us to decide what we wanted to do). (Updated, 6/16/10) Remove carpets in dining room, main jiving room, main bedroom and closet. Replace with TEAK hardwood floors

 + -1 moreThings went well despite the flooding in surrounding area. They did start work in all areas at once so that we had very few areas on which to live while the work was being performed. Staff at the show center were a bit "uninterested" in talking with me until a real estimate was performed, however all other flooring centers treated me the same. Once estimate was perfomred all involved were punctual. At teh end of each day the job site was cleaned up.
Description of Work: Remove floor tile, carpeting, and wood flooring and replaced all with hardwood flooring.

 + -1 moreThe floors look great. The work started in mid-December and is not yet been completed. We gave up on them doing the custom transitions and have requested a reduced price to hire an outside carpenter to do the transitions. The staff consistently showed up late to do the work and so the basic work took longer than expected. They seemed to never finish all that they could, but we would often find that the trim or the closets had not been completed. They were not very tuned in to the inconvenience that having almost all of the floors done at once caused and we had to ask them to finish up enough for us to take the furniture out of the garage where it was stored for over a week. After most of the work had been done they became hard to reach and I could not get the last bit done. That is when we gave them the option to give up on the custom transitions and just finish up, which they are schedule to do this week.
Description of Work: Replacement of water damaged floors, wood laminate & carpet, with bamboo wood floors, about 200 square feet. This required pulling up the old floors, resealing the cement and putting down the wood floors and trim. We were not happy with the way the trim was designed that came with the floors for transitioning from the wood to tile (kitchen & baths) and so asked for some custom transitions for this.

 + -1 moreWe visited the store in Sugar Land to select the flooring. We were allowed to take several samples to the house to view. The owners came to our house to measure on a Saturday. The installation was completed over two days. All waste materials were removed, the new floors swept and treated to complete the job.
Description of Work: Installed hardwood flooring in our dining room and office. Removed old carpeting and floated the concrete floors as needed.

 + 4 moreI received this quote for an extensive floor replacement of my 1444 sq. ft. house that included replacement of bathroom vanities, faucets and toilets (No faucets, vanities or toilets included in pricing above). I liked this contractor because they included everything in prices (And a friend of mine recommended them). All the flooring activities went well and were high quality and workmanship (The wood work was excellent, the rest was ok). The only flaw was that the wood they provided was not the one I selected, but I caught this on time. The plumbing associated activities were extremely poor. Their plumber had to go more than three times (different days) and he did not even supply a few screws that were missing one day. I had to install a couple of safety bars and the price was increased by $500! They were not even installed properly. I would recommend this contractor for flooring only.
Description of Work: Replaced vinyl flooring in kitchen with ceramic. Replaced carpet in studio, living room and stairs with engineered wood. Replaced carpet in two bedrooms. Converted one tub to shower and replaced vanities, toilets and floors in two and a half bathrooms. Grades reflect the overall job.

They moved the bedroom furniture for us. They cleaned up and did not leave a mess. I am going to call them again to floor the remaining bedrooms.

 + 1 moreI loved having them perform the work for me. All the workers arrived on time and there was never a mess to clean up, when they were done. There was a very small part of the tile that was missing and as soon as I made them aware of it, they immediately sent someone out to fix it right away. That says a lot about these people. They are just great.
Description of Work: I had them remove the old hardwood flooring in my home and replaced it with new tile. This job included the backslash and new granite countertops. The size of the job was about 500 square feet.

I thought that they had a large show room and carried all different types of flooring. Their customer service is the best around. I feel that my flooring looks great, and I have not had any problems with any of it.
