The provider agreed to honor a coupon that had expired in December, so I appreciated that. However, the provider arrived 30 minutes before the appointment time, so I was not at home. he did wait. When I got home, the provider told me he could not find any issues. I have no idea what troubleshooting, if any, was done before I arrived. The provider was condescending and unprofessional.

The service went well. I had them do some work on a couple of faulty light switches. The technicians were very friendly and efficient workers. Two people came out for the service. I had no issues with scheduling.

It went great. They were on time. They did everything in a timely fashion. He was very professional.

I'm very pleased to write this review, because I'm so happy with the work that was done. From the very first contact, Bill has been top-notch! Bill very clearly explained everything that is involved in replacing an electrical panel. We kept great communication through email and phone throughout the process, so I was never left wondering about anything. EXECUTIVE SUMMARY (for those who don't like to read long posts): Expert Electric did a great job, and I'm very happy! For those who want more details, read on: The Angie's List special was for a box that is a little smaller than my old one. I asked Bill if he could install a bigger panel to match the size of my old one; he said he could and told me how much the extras would be. I also paid the power company a fee to have the meter hooked back up and power restored the same day (Houston has that option). These extras are why the price listed in this review are for a little more than the special states. I took pictures of the box, meter, and all connections and emailed them to Bill so that he would know exactly what I had and what kind of box I would need for the replacement. Bill took care of the paperwork for the permit and quick reconnect fee. (I really, really like that he said the work needs to be permitted. This is one repair that needs to be done by the book.) The work itself had to be rescheduled from the original date because the power company was swamped with work and would not get to my house to unhook the meter in a reasonable amount of time to have the box replaced and the power restored that same evening. I'm really glad Bill recommended rescheduling rather than having me suffer through possibly a night without power in the Houston heat. He has good sense and wants to keep his customers happy. We rescheduled 2 weeks later, the power company wasn't running as far behind on their service calls, and things went very smoothly. Bill and his assistant Issac showed up promptly, were very courteous, very professional, very neat with their work, and did the job quickly. (My house didn't even have time to get very hot while the power was off!) Now I won't have to hear snide comments from repairmen about the age of my electric box! (Yay!) Most important, I now have the peace of mind that my electrical box is modern and will function for many, many years. I'm very pleased with Expert Electric's work and highly recommend them. I'm also glad to know a good electrician to use for future work.

I spoke with him and arranged date. I called to confirm. He indicated that he wasn't going to show. I then told him that I wanted to get my money back and he told me to try and get it back.

Scheduled service for technician to come out and survey the task to perform the job. Upon inspection, technician stated he would not be able to perform 1 of the 2 needed tasks but needed materials for the task he could do so he would need to come back. I have never heard back from the company and have since hired someone on my own that was able to do both tasks like I wanted within an hour. Very disappointed.

Very prompt. Actually arrived about a half hour earlier than the appointment. Pleased about that because I left work to make the appointment and planned to go back to work after the electrical problem was fixed. I had a light switch that had some "creative" wiring done to it. I was afraid to try to fix it. It's a good thing that I had a professional deal with it. There were exposed wires that he capped off. Now I can turn on and off without seeing any arcing from behind the faceplate. He also checked the plug outlets in every room. All good. $99 just to fix one light switch may sound ridiculous, but I'm no longer worried about an electrical fire in my home.

The technician was there on time and he completed the job within the time. He was really good and even when it took few minutes more, he made sure he completed his job and hasn't charged me for those few minutes. I had track lights installed in my game room and the job was very neat. I would definitely call them again when needed for a service.

That turned out okay. I had some light figures that were not working so I wanted to see if they were okay. I was afraid there was some wiring issues. It turned out the fixtures just needed to be replaced. The electrician called and asked if we could move the appointment earlier, and that was fine. I paid for 2 hours of service, they offered to install the fixtures, but I did not have any for them to install. I offered to run out and get a fixture, but he did not want to wait around. The service was fine, but I don’t feel like I got what I paid for; no fault of theirs.

Before I purchased the big deal, I found out that the company provides services from Mon thru Sat. For this big deal, however, the company is not willing to work on Sat., which is the only day that I am available.

They came over on a Friday to install six smoke alarms and check my plugs. I also asked them to check the contacts on my home security system but they claimed they were not licensed to do so. While I paid for two hours of work, they done in 45 minutes. By Sunday (two days later), I found that they installed two of the smoke alarms backwards since they were already beeping. The smoke alarms were very hot to the touch when I looked at them. The work was completely unsatisfactory.

There were 3 different jobs - he could choose one in which to apply the $200 labor. He would look at each one and he kept saying he was going to have to tear up the walls, or bring in extra equipment, etc. So I told him to just rewire the front porch light. My wife called me 10 minutes after I spoke with the electrician and said he was gone. Said he checked the wires and saw one wire was dead and one wire was live and he said nothing needed to be fixed and the wires were good. He tried to tell me it would be another three to four hundred dollars to do the rest of the repairs. For 10 minutes of labor, I did not get anywhere near the deal that Angie's List promised. Obviously this isn't a contractor that I would have back at my house.

There were communication errors in scheduling the service call - I offered my available dates and the electrician kept trying to schedule for a date I wasn't available - despite the exchange of multiple emails. I finally called him on the phone and was abler to finally set up a date/time. When he and his associate arrived they were polite and pleasant but unable to add the light fixture I wanted due to structural constraints of the house.

Appointment scheduling could be improved. The first appointment was rescheduled at their request, the second appointment was moved up two hours on the day of the appointment at their request.

Bill arrived on time and brought with him another electrician, so the work went quickly. Bill was very good at explaining to us what he was going to do. At the end, he went through the house to ensure that all the appliances and lights were working properly. They also cleaned up before they left.

Very well. They showed up on time. Were very pleasant. Explained everything fully.

They did an excellent job installing the outlet. They were prompt, worked efficiently and left things in place when they finished. I would definitely use them again. Next time I will confirm my time. I requested a time either early in the morning or late in the afternoon. I got a call at 12:30 that they were on their way to the house. Installing the outlet was a small job and they were probably working it in between larger jobs. They did a great job and I was glad to get the outlet installed.

Bill arrived right on time, worked hard to meet all of my requests, and even cleaned up after every switch change. He offered excellent customer service, a wealth of knowledge, and was willing to work hard to please me. Excellent service. I can highly recommend him!

Communication was a bit hit & miss in the beginning, but once the appoint was set, they showed up on time. It did require they make another appointment because I wasn't able to tell them the scope of the job before they showed up. However, they explained everything and showed on time the day of the new appointment and all of the work was completed quickly and efficiently.

Expert Electric were very friendly and helpful and informed me about current electrical code. They were able to let me know that what I wanted to do was against code and could have been potentially dangerous. He was willing to sacrifice the work and gave me some options that I could do myself. I very much appreciated his honesty and integrity. I will be getting a refund for the Big Deal as no work was done or billed for.

The service was not provided. Expert Electric did not show up for the scheduled appointment and did not call to reschedule. I called and emailed but have not received a response. I took time off work to be present for the appointment and also took my dogs to daycare to allow the work to be completed. So above and beyond the work not being completed, there were other costs for me.

.It all went fine. The reason I gave a C for punctuality was because they showed up 1.5 hours early. He had written that they would be there at 11am and they showed up at 9:30. It's a good thing I had returned from Home Depot

I purchased the $99 deal for electrical service . I had some recessed lights inside the house and an outside light that just stopped working all of a sudden. Bill came on time. He checked on the switches and found the recessed light are controlled by a 3-way switch. I hardly used the 2nd switch and had forgotten about it completely since it was hidden behind the coffee machine. He toggled the 2nd switch and the lights came on like magic. Bill was not sure why it stopped working but toggling the 2nd switch did the trick and nothing need to be fixed. On the outside light, he found the switch was not wired correctly so he rewired it and it works. In all, it was such a simple job and only took 10 minutes. However, I am still happy with the service since he did fix all the issues that I bough the deal for. I also asked him to look at the electrical panel and other things to get his opinion and he gave me an answer that nothing need to be fixed so his honesty is greatly appreciated.

The response from the contractor, in 2 days, was that they were booked for the "next couple weeks" Should have realized with coupon sales, that business for them would be brisk. However, I needed electrical help within a week. Will b more cautious and only purchase big deals when not in a hurry of any sort!
