It went well. They came out and did an evaluation of the problem. Later that day we had a quote. They explained everything they were going to do and why. We were given several options of repair w/prices, so we could decide what best fit our needs for how much we wanted/needed to spend on the repair. There was no pressure, they were very patient and answered all our questions. They came out that same week we were given the quote, and completed the job in the time specified. We were very impressed with their work ethics. They worked hard and efficiently. They showed up, when they said they would & finished on time! The price was fair. Let's face it...who wants to spend thousands on an A/C repair??? However, that is what it cost and it was a fair and competitive price (we checked around). Our system is running great & we have had no problems since the repair.

The system was low on coolant, charged system. They followed-up one month later to check the system again. Milnor work done, but the system is working fine. Very considerate Contractor, will definitely recommend them to everyone I know!!!

On a Saturday, while out of town on vacation, he returned our call about an a/c issue. He talked us through how to address it. He saved us both time and money by helping us on a weekend! We have used Dan and his crew for several years now. Hands down, the most honest, professional and reliable service provider we have ever used. We always feel confident he is being honest in his work, and fair in his pricing. Great company!

I contacted Dan with Air Stat when my air conditioning fan stopped blowing. Dan came out the same day and told me what the problem was and fixed it promptly. He also recommended ways to better maintain my air conditioning unit and it's performance. All of the information, the service, and the professionalism was at a great low price also.

Dan and his team performed a thorough analysis of the symptoms of our A/C trouble. He detected a breakdown in one of our A/C Units and suggested four (4) possible scenarios for repair. He explained our situation, discussed the corrective actions in a clear and concise manner, and gave us (from lowest to highest) estimates to fix the A/C. He and his team are a very professional group of experts and at every opportunity, he made his company available to meet our needs regarding time and cost. He had several projects occurring at the same time and went out of his way to accommodate our needs based on time and availability. He changed schedules from his other projects to take care of ours - he was efficient, professional, and very informative. I would highly recommend his Company - they are family owned and his team has been together for a very long time. We chose option three (3) that was not the most expensive but was exactly what was required to repair the system. He guaranteed all parts and labor - thoroughly cleaned up after the job was completed - and described to us some potential areas to keep an eye-on for future maintenance - all at no charge for the analysis. We will definitely use his services again and since our other unit is getting older, we will call Air Stat to help us out when the time comes. We were completely satisfied.

Dan is a true professional and gentleman. He always calls when he says he will. Shows up when he says he will. And is VERY respectful of your property. I guess I used to take these things for granted "in the old days". I had four Companies out for quotes over several months as I wanted to pull the trigger before it got too hot here in Houston. Only one other was what I would call professional and respectful and cared about what I wanted to accomplish. Dan was patient and gave me several options that I requested of him. He listened to what I wanted and then made a great suggestion to go with a higher SEER Unit as the numbers wouldn't be a LOT higher as there were some incentives attached to the higher efficiency units. And he was dead on. I appreciated how he really wanted to help me get where I wanted to go. We shook hands on a deal, one final measurement was made (I subscribe to measure twice, cut once, I guess Dan does too) and a time was set for the following Wednesday to install the equipment. He told me right upfront that this would be an all day affair due to the scope of work. Dan and crew showed up on time, put drop cloths down and proceeded with their work. He and his crew do a very good job of keeping you in the loop as to what's going on and happening. At the end of the day, after they cleaned up, you could not tell they had been there. Except for the shiny new (whisper quiet) compressor outside. I went up into the attic to inspect their work and they did an awesome job. They took great care in attaching the new duct work to the rafters, and sealing all of the connections on the hardware and ducts. I could not be happier and I have NO complaints. THAT is saying something! If you do have a need for any kind of air conditioning or heater work you owe it to yourself to have Dan out to give you his opinion and quote. If you think about it, it isn't a fair fight for the other Companies out there. The two "rude" Companies that gave me quotes were done by their field technicians. They are trained and used to dealing with machines, not listening to and selling proper solutions to people. One of them, quoted me $24,000 as a "must have" solution in a massive overkill bid!! The other "Good" Company quote I received was handled by a sales professional who was very good at listening and suggesting solutions, and was not a high pressure tactics guy. However, as he works for a rather large Company, I could see from their bid that they also have rather large overhead. In the end, the equipment from both Dan and the other "Good" Company was manufactured by the same outfit here in Tyler, Texas. I chose Dan as he is a local business and has to live here with his customers. His rating on Angie's List is A. And think about it, you have the owner of the HVAC provider himself, out overseeing the install of the equipment in your HOME! I can not speak highly enough of how Dan and crew treated my family as they were out here installing the system and duct work. And thankfully, it was a cool day the date of install, there was no discomfort due to being without A/C all day. I don't know how Dan pulled that off!? ;-)

Dan and Roy are the two best HVAC technicians I've ever had -- and I've engaged quite a few over the years in dealing with an old AC and furnace. From the first call, Dan was personable and took the time to answer all of my questions. On site, Roy did the same. It's honestly like getting expert advice from a good friend. The work was done quickly, professionally and economically. The post-inspection review of the findings was very thorough and educational. I would recommend this team to anyone who wants honest, extremely competent and hardworking technicians, and wants to be treated like a long term customer (even on the first visit)! From my first call to the service call was less than 24 hours, which pleasantly surprised me because I know that with the top notch service they provide, these guys have to be in high demand. I wish every home services company was as responsive. A+++

It went awesome! This is the second time I've used All Star AC and I will not use any other company in the future! The way this repair came about was from a special I signed up for to have a Summer AC check up done by another company. The company that came out to do the AC check up told me my Capacitor was bad and that I needed a pound of freon. Their quote for doing this was $380.00. I know AC repairs can be expensive so I nearly authorized the work to be done with this other company but I followed my gut feeling and called Ed with All Star AC first to get his estimated quote. I told him what the other company told me I needed done (but not their price). I was happily shocked to get the quote from Ed because it was less than half of the other company's quote. Ed with All Star came out and confirmed that I needed a new Capacitor but when he checked the freon level he told me it was good (no freon needed=more savings). Ed with All Star AC saved me a lot of money and being a single parent it was a blessing. The work was done accurately and quickly. He is so great about explaining everything to you and answering any questions you have. I highly recommend All Star AC Heat & Home!!

I give Roy and Dan an A+ again. I really respect these two guys and the time they invest in their costumers. AND they are just nice guys who really seem to care about their customers. They brought another guy with him this trip too...Chris, i think, who did a wonderful job too and is a great addition to their team.

There are not words enough to compliment the genuine integrity, professionalism and quality of service provided by AIR STAT AC & HEATING! Our old (yes 26 years and counting) York systems finally croaked! We obtained 3 quotes and settled on Air Stat AC & Heating immediately. This is without a doubt one of the best decisions we could have made! DAN GILLIS and his team, ROY and SEAN, were not only extremely courteous, knowledgeable and professional - they were timely in all the work performed for us! They worked as though our home was their own home. And when you have work of this magnitude undertaken, you WANT THE BEST! WE RECEIVED SO MUCH MORE THAN WE EXPECTED! In comparing the apples/apples quotes, and after asking loads of questions - let's face it - all systems are not created equal - Air Stat was selected based on knowledge and willingness to answer and explain all the questions I had. (It is important to note that all quotes obtained were based on identical systems - and more than one manufacturer.) What I was dreading when this began, turned out to be a really great experience thanks to efforts of the AIR STAT team - AND it has been my great pleasure to recommend them to others already! If you are looking for replacement or simply need service you cannot go wrong with this group - they are wise and wont sell you something you don't have to replace. Dan suggested the downstairs unit could continue on with proper oversight of service. Considering the age of the unit we decided it best to replace it simultaneously with the upstairs - to achieve better fuel efficiency in our home! ALL of the work performed by AIR STAT was done quickly, with excellence; and, a bonus - super clean up each day! I did NOT have to go behind these guys! Communication was STELLAR at all times - my attic looks great; the systems are already - after only days in service - proving to be FUEL EFFICIENT - they run far less than the old ones did! And, we've actually LOWERED the thermostat! The house is comfortable (cozy and warm) not hot (or cold on very cold mornings) at all times - the air is fresh and I could not be more pleased! Dan was DILIGENT in replacing the old upstairs heating unit that could not be run so that my family and I were not left freezing when temperatures dove down to a hard freeze (by that time the downstairs was also installed thanks to HIS planning)! The first morning following complete installation I got up without having to grab a heavy robe - it was awesome! I was amazed at how perfect and even the warmth in the house was on a very cold 19 degree night/morning! It was perfect! I am very much looking forward to what our new AC units will do this spring and summer! Dan, and his team, will be THE ONLY a/c and heating professionals for all our future needs. There was a misunderstanding with the owner, which I felt was handled unprofessional. He did send someone else out to do the work and I thought his associate was very professional and gave me informative feedback after the check-up.

Dan was very responsive via phone, picks up his calls and handles all the office work while on the job. He sent his best guy, Roy, who was very professional, very informative and is a seasoned specialist. They tested both my units and found and fixed the problems with the work of companies that had done previous work on the AC/furnace units. I have other properties and plan to used them again.

Dan Gillis, the owner, was very responsive and returned phone calls promptly. He made arrangements to get the installation completed ahead of original schedule. He came to the work site to check on work. The two installers, Roy and Shaun were very polite and explained everything in detail. They went above and beyone to make sure they cleaned up after themselves. They worked hard in order to make sure the job was completed in a timely manner. The overall experience was stress free! We will definitely call them again if needing AC/Heating work.

They did a great job and the install crew was very professional. Roy and Shawn work well together and they took extra time to cover all foot traffic areas with drop cloths and cleaned up all work areas. The compressor unit, evaporator coil along with appropriate plenum box/connections were replaced. They also straighten out some of the a/c ducts to ensure that they were not touching (could cause condensation in the area where they are touching) each other. They were still here when the kids got home from school and took the time to answer all their questions about what they were doing.

Was very good on details and did the work well we would definitetly seek them out for further work.

I contacted Dan and Roy to obtain a second opinion on what the solution was to my AC condenser fan not operating. Note that obtaining a second opinion was the result of receiving an astronomical estimate by another company. Air Stat (Roy) arrived within a couple hours of contact and very quickly identified the issue(s), i.e., capacitor and low Freon. Replaced the capacitor, conducted a leak test, added Freon, and provided some helpful information on possible future issues/maintenance. The result was a bill that was over $3800 less than quoted by the original vendor. I also now have peace of mind knowing that I have an AC vendor who is professional, knowledgeable, honest, fair and is interested in solving the problem rather than running up sales.

This is the second time we used Air Stat's services. We have been quite pleased with them each time. They arrive promptly and quickly go to work. They keep us informed as the job progresses and clean up after themselves. The bill was reviewed before they left our home. They are always courteous.

Dan and his team have been servicing our a/c and furnace needs for a couple of years now. They are professional, courteous and honest. I cannot say enough good about them. After keeping our very old a/c units working for quite some time, they finally needed to be replaced. Of course they broke while we were out of town. We connected our house-sitter and Air Stat, and they started the job before we were even back. So thankful for them! Otherwise we would have been stuck all weekend with a broken a/c and three kids at home.

After repair, the heating system worked all winter long. He fixed what needed to be repaired.

Daniel and Roy tested my A/C unit and determined that replacement was needed. Dan discussed various options with me, recommended a unit and provided a quote. He called me back to discuss additional options before installation began. The team arrived promptly on the day of installation and worked tirelessly to complete the process, staying until almost 9pm. The team -- Dan, Roy and Sean -- were very professional and courteous. A callback from Dan to make sure the unit was running properly and to see if I was experiencing any problems or issues was received during the next week. An additional follow-up was made 3 weeks later. Dan was quick to respond by phone, email and text. Options were discussed and explained thoroughly, so that I felt involved and pleased with the decisions we made. Overall, the onerous task of A/C replacement was much easier than I expected. All of the team left me with a sense that they are very skilled in the business and concerned with the best interests of the customer. I will use Air Stat again and would highly recommend their services.

Air Stat is such a great choice. My AC quit cooling on a week-day evening in July, and I called Air Stat the next day (a few minutes after 7:00 a.m.) desperately hoping I could get a same-day appointment. Dan, the company?s owner, responded to my voicemail in less than five minutes and, after hearing the problem, told me that he would find a way to work me in. And indeed he did! My AC was up and cooling that afternoon. He gave me an early-afternoon time frame and called about 15 minutes before arriving. While at my home, he and his apprentice/assistant (Shawn) were personable and professional. Dan took the time to explain (and show me) what was wrong with the AC unit and what needed to be done to fix it. The Air Stat team had its hands full because the system hadn?t been serviced (even for annual maintenance) in over five years, but they were efficient in their work and got it cooling like new. We also talked about the future potential of replacing the whole system, but the discussion was completely educational, with no pressure to go that route at this point. I like the size of this company?big enough to have multiple jobs going at once (so emergency fixes are possible) but small enough to still get a very personable and knowledgeable experience. I highly recommend.

I came home from work to find my condenser had stopped working and my house was so hot! I called a couple of people before I got smart went on Angie's list and called Dan. He was so helpful, told me he could be there in about 20 minutes and after he arrived he took care of everything! He totally went above and beyond what anyone else probably would have done. He and his partner stayed there till almost 10pm to get it done and cool my house off. He was upfront, no pressure and even killed a cockroach for me! My dog and I are very happy and really appreciate the professional and personal service that Dan and his team gives. I would recommend them to anyone! Will call them again when I am ready to replace my system.

Everything went great! Roy was extremely professional, helpful and willing to go above and beyond. He even killed a spider before me before he left! I will definitely use them in the future for any ac/heating needs.
