Deane Electric & Air Conditioning

This is the second time I have used Deane's Electric for any emergency A/C outage. These people know their job and get you up and ready quickly. On 5/17/2014 in the early evening my A/C stopped running. I described the problem and told him I did some diagnostics. He told me what was wrong and that he could be at my job the next day and true to his word he was here at 9am with the repair part. He competed the job in less than an hour.. If you are not using this provider for your A/C and electrical problems your wrong and just denying yourself of the chance to get the problem fixed quickly and professionally. I would not hesitate to use this provider again or recommend them to family and friends. Thank you folks at Deane's for an outstanding job. :)

We purchased an old house for rental purposes that had never had HVAC. John's crew completely re-wired the house and installed a beautiful new American Standard HVAC. The house is still a project, but now we have AC to work with. ($8600) I have used Deane Electric for many years.... starting in 2008 with the install of a brand new American Standard HVAC in our personal residence ($5500 apx). It still purrs like a kitten. Deane Electric also did a recent service upgrade for a rental property ($1500.00) and I have asked for an estimate on more work to be done. The quality of the work is exceptional. During the busy season (summer) its hard to get an exact time frame, but sometimes its worth waiting for when you know the job will be done right. I like that the owner makes himself accessible to his clients by giving out his personal cell. If he doesn't answer, leave a message, he always returns calls. I gave a B in pricing, because he isn't the cheapest gig in town, but the A for quality makes up for it.

All went smoothly. He showed up on tim, was polite, and got right to work. Everything was working well with my furnace unitsl and they didn't suggest repairs I didn't need. He told me how the units were doing and all looked good.

I called to request a spring service on my a/c unit. They responded to my call in less than 24 hours. The technician that serviced the unit was very professional. He gave me some helpful maintenance advice. I will recommend this company to others.

It was a big job because it was a close to a hundred sheets of wire plus they had to dig a trench. John was very professional and was very punctual. He communicated everything very well. I don’t know about the pricing but everything else was excellent.

Called on a Friday and they were pretty busy receptionist asked if they could call Monday and schedule an appointment. Didn't hear anything Monday so late Monday afternoon I gave them a call back. Spoke with Mr Deane and explained I was waiting on a call back and explained what I needed. Mr. Deane apologized about them not calling me back and to correct this he arranged to have someone at the house immediately. Within an hour of speaking with Mr. Deane there was an electrician (such a wonderful gentleman) at the house and the issues were fixed promptly. I have been dealing with a variety of contractor's lately and you defiantly stand above. Thank you Very much Mr. Deane.

He was very service-oriented. We definitely use him again.

Called Deane and electric service because unit would not turn on. Spoke with receptionist very welcome personality, said Deane would give me a call back with results 2 hours later received call back informed me of the problem gave me the estimate to replace heater but also stated would be best to change out ac as well so they could match since units are fairly old. Deane, gave me a good price will call to make appointment to do work.

Mr. John Dean and his crew are wonderful! On 08 NOV, I called their office and spoke to Melody, who is so sweet, curteous and professional, to send someone out the check my AC unit as it was not cooling properly. She always provides the impression that she really cares and once I met her, I knew she is sincere. On Monday 11 NOV 13, Mesa, who is also very professional, curteous and respectful, came out to check my AC unit and found it was not repairable. He quickly contacted Mr. Dean and scheduled the removal of the old system and installation of the new system within just a few days. They scheduled the removal and installation at the convenience of my schedule which required of me a few extra days to accomodate. On 26 NOV 13, Chris came out and removed the old system and installed the new system in one day. He was very curteous, respectful and professional. chris cleaned up all debrie from the old system and all packaging from the new system. Mr.John Dean has always been able to provide service at my convenience, which is difficult sometimes due to my busy work schedule. Anytime I need any electrical repairs done, I always call Dean's Electric as I know they will always be prompt, trustworthy, curteous and provide a reasonable and very fair price. I always rely on Dean's Electrical for all ecectrical needs and will always recommend them to anyone else who needs this type of service. Thank you, Dean's Electric, for being the terrific business that you are.

I would not use these people as they charge for an estimate, and over charge at that. They were also rude and condescending. Here is an example of what these jerks wrote: "Deane Electric & Air Conditioning 54 minutes ago You said "Do I charge whatsoever for a service call". I charge $75 for a service call. The correct verbiage is... What do you charge for a service call"' What I actually wrote was: "do you charge whatsoever for an estimate?" So as you can plainly see, they can't read. Seriously, who do think they are. Any legitimate business DOES NOT CHARGE FOR AN ESTIMATE. If a company is charging for an estimate, they are not legitimate. This company can't even read and claim I asked for a service call, when I clearly asked for an estimate. DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY UPDATE: I also want people to know what this company wrote: "Deane Electric & Air Conditioning4 hours ago. You obviously are looking for a fight, so I will tell you where my office is. I'm at 3402 S WS Young dr in Killeen. You can learn to communicate without blaming other people when we don't understand what you are saying or come on over to my office. I'm here. I'm not hiding and if you want to make it a mission to discredit me, I will be glad to quote you on Angie's List as well. It's a known fact that I do not do business with people who are not able to grasp proper grammar. Now see? This is how you insult someone without name calling. I might be an a******, but I know how to talk. I don't say things like... "Do you charge whatever?" How is this correct use of English?" Apparently, this people doesn't know the difference between "whatever" and "whatsoever". Why would anyone want to do business with a company this unprofessional, rude, hostile and if this is the type of e-mail they think is appropriate, they should be permanently banned from Angie's list. Seriously, who acts like this? Do you really want to do business with people like this, who send e-mails like this one. Think about how they'll treat you as a customer.

Job went perfect. Deane showed up and went over all the details. He gave us many options with many differant price points. The team was on time and told me exactly what they were doing and how long the job was going to take. His pricing was the best and he was the most knowledgable about the install and the products. Other installers talked about needing to bring in contractors to remove the attice entrance. Deane stated that "he does it all the time and there would be no need to bring in contractors". That saved us a lot of money. We are 10 months since the install and NO issues and saving money with the new A/C. I would hire Deane electric and air conditioning again! Do yourself a favor...if you are getting quotes, get one from Deane. BTW, he sells American Standard products which are highly rated.

I noticed my home was unusually warm. I could hear the AC unit kicking on, but the fan was not blowing. I figured relay, or fan but was not sure. I messaged Deane Electric from Angie's list via email. The owner returned my email with his personal cell number. I called and made the appointment for the next day (This was on Columbus Day), a Federal holiday. On the scheduled day the repairman came. He was polite, quick, and professional. He quickly isolated the fault to a relay panel. He drove to his shop, picked one up and replaced it. In all it took about 1.5 hours. I would use this company again in a heartbeat.

I am tremendously pleased with this company professionalism and work performance. John was very patient and explained to me various things about the heat pump that I was not familar with....he even installed a NEST thermostat for me free of charge and taught me how to use it! His employee Chris is very detailed oriented, and thorough. This company price is reasonable and the service is fantastic. I will definite be using his service again soon...installing light fixtures.

The service worked out great. They were able to diagnose the problem. He was very professional and polite. He was also upfront about the work that needed to be done. He provided multiple costs estimates for replacement and repair. We had used them before for a repair on a different house.

The technicians were courteous, prompt, and did their jobs efficiently. I've been using Deane for years and will continue to use them. I would recommend this company to anybody.

The service provider was exceptionally courteous and professional. He provided very detailed explanation of what he was going to do, as he was doing it and summarized it for me when the job was completed.

The Deane service member came and took down my broken ceiling fan, and replaced it with a new one.

I waited for almost a year to write this review because I didn't want the fact that I was mad to cloud my opinion. Found Deane's Electric on Angie's list. I was told it would be two weeks, at least, before I could schedule an appointment because they were so busy. I called back a couple of weeks later and scheduled an appointment for early in the day(I was supposed to be the first appointment). I took off work that day to have this done. I waited for over two hours and heard nothing from them. I finally called them. I was told they had gone to another job to finish it before coming to my house. I did not receive any call from them to indicate they would be late. Was it ever a consideration to let the customer know? Apparently not. The only reason they came to my house at that point was because I was so mad. The electrician installed the additional outlets in the bathrooms. He ran new wires to install overheard lights but apparently missed his intended spot and there is now an additional hole in my garage ceiling (which he said nothing about-I noticed it). He worked on the outlet that ran the garbage disposal and thought he had it fixed. But everytime I plugged something into the outlet next to it, the GFC switch popped out on the other receptacle. I had to call him back (it was wired wrong). He didn't do anything with the receptacle on the front of the garage holding the outside light up. He stated he could not fix it. I later took down the lantern and fixed it myself. Just an overall bad experience. A year later, I would still not call them if I needed work done.

HVAC system and they were very professional and prompt. They did exactly what they said they would do in a timely manner and the customer is very pleased.

They did not show up on time and we had to have them come back and clean up saw dust and screws that were on the ground. They seemed kind of irritated that they had to come back out. The work that they did seemed fine as the room was cooler. We rented the home a month later and have had no complaints. I probably would not use them again.

Property needed a new A/C compressor bec the one we had just replaced 5 months prior (w/ Bailey A/C) was STOLEN:( Deane Elec was available, responsive but we paid a premium because it had to be done on a friday eve from 6-9:00 pm.

We found Deane Electric & A/C on Angies' List. We live in Forney, Texas and needed to replace the over 25 year old air conditioning system in our rental property in Killeen. He was very helpful with coordinating with the management company there and with us in a very timely manner. He gave us an estimate for a brand new system that was slighlty more or close to what others had quoted to repair/replace only half of the old system. He was very thorough in walking us through every aspect of purchasing the new system from telling us which manufacturers had the best warranties to making sure we knew how to register the equipment after he installed it. He completed the work in a very timely manner and was very professional in every way. We were very thankful for his service and we highly recommend him.

Jon came out and gave me an estimate the next day after getting a couple of different bids we decided to use Deane. Tim came out at 0830 on Thursday and upgraded the old box in order to wire a Hottub he was very friendly as was Jon. They explained everything and even broke it down to where I could understand what they were talking about. I was very pleased with their service and professionalism, and even their office manager was very kind! I would highly recommend them to anyone looking for quality service!

My husband tried to replace the breaker switch but bought the wrong one at Lowes. It didn't work. Deanne Elec. was here within 45 mins. and had to replace the breaker with a new one. Our house wasn't wired normal I guess and it was hard for him to find it, but he did. He had to trace down a lost neutral in the circuit in the kitchen and garage. Otherwise we could have had a fire. He was wonderful! We expected it to be a lot more but it wasn't. We found him here on Angie's List.
