They were on time, very professional but charming too. They even cleaned up afterwards. I have found them reliable, honest and knowledgeable about their work. I would use then again whenever -

We arranged a time that was convenient and they phoned and notified me of the arrival time and were prompt. The work was done quickly and efficiently. It is an old house and working with the water lines is tricky. There were no problems. I really recommend this company. This is the second time they have done repairs in my home and they have been prompt, efficient and cost effective.

They gave me a window of noon to 3 pm, and arrived at around 12:30. I was pleased, because I had other things to do, and I never seem to get the early portion of the time frame offered. They came in and looked at the situation. At this point, one of the workers let out a few curse words. I for one hate the use of bad language in any situation, thus I knocked down the professionalism part to a "B" grade. In my opinion, a professional, no matter what career, should not use bad language in front of a customer. They looked at what needed to be done, began work, and finished in about 30 minutes or so. They wrote up my bill, took my card information, and asked how I heard about them. They charged $175 for a 30 minute job. I know people have to make money, but this seemed a tad bit high, especially since on the phone the secretary quoted me a price of $125 per hour. The parts they put on were not that expensive, so I'm not sure why they charged so much. All in all, however, I would use this company again. Ultimately, I just hate it when its a job that I can't figure out or do on my own.

It was fantastic. It is obviously a family-owned business and Layne was the person who performed the tasks. Layne and his wife, Cathy, were responsive to the initial enquiry. Cathy called me at 8 AM to advise me of the time window. Layne arrived within the promised time window. The job was professionally done. My house and my toilets remained spotless after the job. It was a pleasure using Layne Plumbing and I will definitely use him again.

Layne Plumbing arrived at our home in order to give us an estimate on the requested job and an approximate time required to complete the job. The estimate was square on, and they arrived exactly as stated and finished the job with professionalism. Our new exterior gas lanterns look beautiful, and are functioning without problems. It went very well. They arrived when they said they would arrive (a big plus for me) and the work was perfect. They were in and out quickly (less than 30 minutes).

Why I liked them: I had a single day allotted to be at home to have all this work performed. Three very experienced, very neat/clean, polite plumbers arrived exactly when they were expected and completed all work within 4 hours, for exactly the price that was estimated. Their work was extremely neat and clean and sound. These guys really knew their stuff. And they were smart and pleasant to be around. They worked well with/around other contractors also the premises; they showed great care with my home and took special care to protect all the walls/floors being updated as well. I have already found an additional project for them to come back and perform. And I trust them enough to leave a house key for them to do the work without my being onsite. I also appreciate the fact that they use email to communicate as well as phones; this can be a huge convenience, helping ensure clarity of project requests and enabling flexibility in timing connections. About my project: 2009 updated the interior of my 45 year old ranch-style home, including all painting (ceilings, walls, closets, trim, kitchen cabs…the works), all floors (carpeting, laminate, tile), numerous plumbing fixtures, etc. About me: I have extremely EXTREMELY high standards. I don’t have tons of money, but I will spend for high quality that represents good value. (This is illustrated in my choice of vehicles—I drive an Acura. That might be pricier than some would have, and it’s also less expensive than what others might choose.) I am a consumer who gets involved and has to understand the why’s and wherefore’s of all contractor work, so I can maintain it for the long term. I work, and I have to juggle contractor appointments to suit my availability to meet them at my house.

It went great. I got an in person estimate at first, and after the quote i scheduled the service a week later. They showed up on time, worked quickly and cleaned up after themselves. Overall a very good experience.

Overall, the project went well. The price was competitive, even less than 2 other quotes. He took the time to explain our options, and even said we didn't have to replace both water heaters at the same time since one of them was not leaking yet. He was prompt and the work was completed on time.

This was our first effort to use Angie;s List for a repair service with excellent results. Layne returned my call, scheduled an appointment, and made the necessary repair as promised.

I called them over the weekend, and they came out on that Monday. They were very friendly and nice. I was satisfied.
