Contacted the company and the receptionist scheduled an appointment for the following week. Phillip the general manager came out on that Thursday the day the appointment was scheduled and he walked through the damaged area and took notes and said that he would provide me with an estimate the following Monday by email. I did not receive an estimate by the agreed upon time thinking maybe Phillip needed more time. I received no contact from this company the following week. I decided to contact the company by phone and got the voice mailbox and left a message with my email and phone number. It has been over three weeks and I still have not heard anything from this company. This company has held up my project and if they did not want to or could not do the work they could have at least let me know as other contractors told me up front. I will not be using or contacting this company again.

Phillip did excellent work. We were impressed with his knowledge and quality of workmanship. He said he did more repair in our attic than he had originally quoted. BUT we had a huge misunderstanding on the work hours we were paying for. After contacting Phillip, he had come by to give us a quote. He said he considered this a 6 hour job which was a "days work" because of the time for travel and acquiring materials. We understood it would take him and his helper approximately 6 hours to complete the job, but he and his helper were only here approximately 3 hours. After they finished, Phillip said we had been quoted "man hours" (2 men times 3 hours was the 6 hours of work). Because I was so surprised they finished in 3 hours, Phillip knocked the price down from the $710 originally quoted to the $640 we paid. There was $180 for materials and that left $460 for 3 hours of work by Phillip and his helper plus the two hours alloted for travel and acquiring materials. Maybe $115 an hour is the going rate for a carpenter and his helper, but that seemed high to us. If we had understood Phillip's quote from the beginning, we would have gotten quotes from other companies for comparison before doing this work.

The first service was dependent on the weather so changes were made accordingly. Certainly don't want anyone cutting holes in my roof when rain is forecasted! On the day of the service there were a slew of people that arrived thus assuring the work would be done quickly. Originally, the work was to take 1 1/2 days, with the wiring of the attic fans being the second day. As it was work was completed all in one day. The general attic repair was to close up areas of access around windows. The area was large enough to allow access for unwanted wildlife visitors to make a home in the attic. Workers arrived on time and worked quickly. Walking in and out of the house was minimized as much as possible, which I appreciated. They worked the full day until after 5 and were able to finish ahead of schedule. The second appointment with the speakers was scheduled for 2 weeks from now! I received a call from Mr. Warwick stating he finished another job and was in the area. I thought he would come by to clarify what specifically I needed done with the speakers & to my surprise, he did it that day! 2 weeks early!! As an added bonus he hung a very large 4'x4' wooden wall hanging in a very high art niche' for me. My husband appreciated that immensely as it saved him from that task. Prices are not cheap but are very fair. Mr. Warwick is very professional which is extremely important when you are having any work done in your home. I would most certainly recommend to friends & will call him again in the future when the need arises.

Phillip has done work for me before and always does a wonderful job. He is very conscientious and meticulous. He is prompt and does not need to be supervised. I will definitely use him again in the future!

Phillip was a God-send!! We have a 1000 square foot rental home in the heights. We had recently renovated it, but our contractor left some pretty significant loose ends, and really left us in a bind. Phillip was there the day after I called, felt the same sense of urgency that we felt (our tenant was scheduled to move in the next day), and fixed everything on time. We were very grateful that he was more than willing to help us on such short notice. He even discovered additional problems that our previous contractor left undone, and fixed those too. He took on our burden as if it was his, and made us look really good for our tenant. His prices are fair, he is an honest business man, and takes pride in his work. A rare find! We will be using him again for sure!

I contacted HRR Services but ended up having to call because I didnt recieve a prompt response. We then scheduled a time for him to come out to provide an estimate, a few hours before the scheduled time he called and emailed to cancel. I then emailed him back the next morning to re-schedule it has been over 24 hours and I have yet to hear back. I am very disppointed but will need to try and contact another handymen that is more responsive.

Houston Repair & Remodeling came the day I called and replaced my kitchen faucet. I liked him because it is a very small business but number one he is responsive. He did not have to come, I had everything out from under my sink but I still had my old faucet in. He said he only had time to come that day so it was wonderful. He is knowledgeable and he likes what he is doing. He pretty much does everything himself.

Phillip responded quickly, showed up quickly, found the best way to get the job done at the least cost and inconvenience to us.

I received three different quotes to do some work on our shower i.e. replace grout, seal. Phillip was not the cheapest quote but we felt he was very knowledgeable, explained exactly what he was going to do so we felt comfortable proceeding with him. He was very punctual and if he was going to be late, he would call you. We will definitely use Phillip for future work.

He's not finished with the job. He did part of the job today. He repaired the door and we were pleased with that. He's going to come back and build the shelving for us, but as far as the door repair, he has been great. We are using him for the first time. He was just a real nice guy. He was very prompt, very professional and on time. He did a great job and did it in a timely manner. We would certainly use him again.

I contacted Houston Repair and Remodeling about installing a curved shower rod in our children's/guest bathroom. I attempted to install it myself but had issues drilling into the studs. Houston Repair and Remodeling responded within minutes of my request via Angie's List. Mr. Warwick was available to install the rod on Sunday afternoon at 2pm. I was quite surprised about the Sunday service day! Right on time, Mr. Warwick arrived, examined the location I wanted the rod placed and the rod and hardware. He advised that it was best to attached the rod at the studs, but that the hardware provided with the rod, was ok, but not the best. He used his own wood screws and drill and had the rod up in about 10 minutes! It's solidly installed. I am pleased.

Phil is very conscientious and great at communicating. I would strongly recommend him for any of the services he did for us.

I was fortunate to get same day service! Phillip had another job near the Cypress area and agreed to meet me at my house when I got off work. He actually got there before me and waited patiently for my arrival. He is very knowledgeable and explained in detail what my problems were and my options for fixing them. He was very upfront and honest about what I needed and the cost of replacement. Since it would be cheaper to replace my kitchen faucet than to fix it, I gave Phillip a price range and he went to Lowe's. He then drove to a 2nd place to find what I wanted within my price range. He purchased the exact faucet that I wanted!! He did an awesome job and made sure I understood everything before, during, and after he performed the work. Philip treated my son and I with the utmost respect and I appreciate his attention to detail. Being a single woman, I am always wary of contractors trying to take advantage and make extra money off innocent victims. I researched what my problems and solutions were before calling Phillip so I know he was totally honest when he offered his services. He actually contacted me the next day to make sure I was satisfied with his work. It's hard to find someone who really cares about customer service and goes above and beyond your expectations. I love the fact that Phil takes such pride in his work. He is truly a professional! I will definitely use him again and refer him to my family and friends.

He was good. He was real prompt and very proactive. The pricing was a little high, but I was happy with the work.

This is by far the best experience I've ever had with a home repair or remodel. Phillip is very professional, knowledgable, easy to communicate with, and extremely punctual. He gave me a very fair bid for the job and was able to start within days of my first contact with him. He started on schedule and finished on schedule. He and his crew kept my house clean and were very understanding about my pets and the need to keep them from escaping through an open door. I was sick during part of the remodel, and they were very quiet and didn't disturb me. The first day of work, a problem was identified with my water heater (the wood platform was rotten) which they repaired for minimal additional cost and without going over their original schedule. All of the work done is impeccable. I am picky, and it looks fantastic. I will be using Phillip again in the near future for some additional projects.

In a word, awesome. I emailed 3 "handymen" for a new home my hubs and I purchased and needed repair work done before we moved in and Mr. Warwick was the ONLY one to respond to me. Despite being out of his typical work area he was willing to email me back, set up a meeting time, and then actually do the work! He didn't try to talk me into another "handyman" at all because we were further away. He met me at the home, was punctual and professional and above all tolerant! I advised what I was looking for repair-wise from the inspection and then added a few "I'd likes" on to it and he was so incredibly patient and thorough. In addtion, he was upfront and honest, and that is VERY important to me. If he thought he could do it, he'd tell me; if he thought I didn't need a certain item worked on/done because it was "over the top," he told me about it. I'd rather have an honest person willing to tell me those things than lead me down the proverbial primrose path. I never felt like I was being taken advantage of nor was I concerned about "shoddy" work done. In general, he's cut and dry; just the way it should be. I'd definitly work with him again.

Mr. Warwick was quick to respond with his estimate for the work I requested. He was up front in stating there could be additional work needed on the upstairs window, his bid reflected what he could see with an outline of labor and materials clearly stated. When the tear out was started he found significant rot from long term water damage to the window box structure which was not evident to either of us at the time of the initial assessment. Everything was clearly explained and damage shown to me before any work started. Mr. Warwick's additional pricing for the extra work was excellent considering the many hours he spent on this job. He was able to save my window, took great care in working around many plantings with his ladder placement. Clean up was complete. The second portion of this job was also started on schedule as planned, completed timely and without any surprises. He coordinated this portion of the job with a glass replacement company as I needed window glass replaced into existing frames. This portion actually cost less than the original bid! Again, good cleanup and great service. Overall this work was professionally done, done on time, within anticipated pricing. I will work with this company again on other projects.

I called Phillip on 9/22/11. He came out to give me an estimate on 9/23/11 (on-time, very courteous, honest with the quote). He had a cancellation for 9/24/11, so completed my work then. They replaced the rotten wood underneath my kitchen bay window on the side of my house. it had become rotten from the sprinklers and bugs. They had to trim the large bushes right in front of the window, but kept them from looking like they had been trimmed. The space they worked in was very small. They took off the rotten wood and replaced the outside with Hardiplank. He also replaced some of the supports that had gotten damaged from the water. Phillip went to the store and bought paint that matched the old color and painted the new hardiplank. He also left the leftover hardiplank for my next repair. In addition, Phillip fixed my sprinkler system by raising 10 of the heads and making sure the total lawn is now completely covered.

I called them and the guy came out the next day. He was right on time when he said he would be here. He got it taken care of in no time. I would definitely use them for more work around the house. I would use him again in a heartbeat. He also does handyman work, doors and windows.

Arrived on time and got right to work. When done cleaned up and hauled off debris. Everything works and looks great.

Had Phillip quote and perform several jobs around our house. We were very pleased with his services. He is very professional and does a great job. He also provides thoughtful and experienced recommendations. It is a pleasure to work with him. We are so pleased with his work that we are having him quote our bathroom remodeling.

Philip identified the problem of the water stain on the freshly painted wall. He said it was not caused by leaks since there is no plumbing lines behind the sheet rock. He gave me advice on how it can be fixed simply. Before he left, he would not accept any payment for the trouble of getting here. I will definitely use him next time when there is a job to be done. He is professional, honest and very nice.

Overall, Phillip did a great job. I emailed him to organize everything and he was very responsive, organized, punctual and honest. He responded to my emails right away, provided a confirmation email, arrived on time and called me when he realized the job was a little larger than first anticipated (I was at work, my mother was at my house to meet him). He was very neat, tidy and I couldn't even tell he had been here when I got home. I am very pleased with his service.

Mr. Warwick came out on a Saturday to install ADA shower bars for us. He was very prompt. The work was more difficult than expected due to the quality of the tile used in the shower. This resulted in several hours of VERY hard work. Mr. Warwick thoroughly cleaned the work area and in fact he left it CLEANER than it was before his visit! I though the final fee was MORE than fair, and based on the amount of work he had to do I was pleasantly surprised when he gave me the total. I would highly recommend using Houston Repair and Remodeling for any handy work that needs to be done!

Phillip showed up on time with one helper, and the install went well, and they got it done quickly. The next day, he checked to see if everything was still ok, and at the time it was. About a week later, though, I noticed that one of the toilets had become loose at the base, and when I emailed him about it, he came by as soon as possible and fixed it. Apparently, the wax ring had not sealed correctly or something, due to the difference in height between the flange and the tile, and it didn't manifest itself till later. But he took responsibility for it and fixed it right away.
