They just finished the job on my generator and I had a positive experience with them; there was nothing I disliked about the experience. They always returned my calls immediately, they always showed up on time, and they were always very polite. Everyone on the staff, all the guys who came out, were just decent human beings who would greet me and smile and get the job done without any loud noises or messing around out there. I live in an area where it is always a problem getting permits and what have you in a timely fashion, but they continued to do whatever they could do to get the job done in a timely fashion. All I really had to do was call, and if the owner did not pick up the phone he would call back almost immediately. I have no complaints whatsoever with them.

No work was performed by GPS

GPS provided the most economical and responsive bid. They took care of everything, unlike the other bidders. Throughout the entire process GPS kept us informed of what they were doing and what to expect, when. They maintained a precise schedule, in fact we moved up certain activities to meet our specific needs. The entire install and training was performed with in an eight day period. The operation training and instruction was thorough. We were extremely pleased with the entire experience!

I had been reading up on standby power generators for several weeks and decided to go with local dealer (Katy, Texas area) and one recommened by Centerpoint Energy. Contacted three of the companies listed on Centerpoint website; one never called back and the other missed our appointment and never offered to set a new appointment. I contacted Generator Power Systems (GPS) and their rep showed up on time and was there for over an hour discussing where we could place the generator and the different sizes I could use. I ended up selecting a natural gas Generac 22 kw unit, smaller than what I expected, but could still handle the whole house. I was looking for a "turn key" solution with extended warranty and maintenance. GPS contacted CenterPoint for gas, poured the concrete slab and had their own electricians and plumbers run the lines. I just had to be at the house to let people in to do their work. GPS was very professional, called me when the plumber was delayed and explained the workings of the unit very well. I'm sure I could have ordered the generator from the internet for less and then found someone to hook it up, but GPS did all that. They know what they are doing and they did it right the first time. I would recommend them to anyone who wants a professional job done.

Everything was very fine and up front. Everything was done on time and at the contract price. I would recommend them and use them again. They had the product we wanted and the price was fair. It was a fair estimate and a fair price.

Email GPS asking for quote. Jim Fish called me and we set up an appointment to meet. We met at designated time and hammered out the options for the install. Shortly there after (1-2 days) I received a quote. (I got a quote from a competitor as well, but chose Jim's company as I had a better feeling with him). After some consideration, I emailed GPS and asked to proceed with the quoted work. They required 1/2 down for the equipment. The whole process took about 2 week due to some city permit issues, but that all got resolved and the 20kWatt natural gas generator was install, and tested. Jim allowed me to use my landscapers to dig the trenches through my backyard. I believe them to be better equipped to navigate my plants and other delicate items. At one point I phoned Jim that his guys seemed to have finished and left a rock bed in a bit of a mess. He had it all cleaned up next day back to how it was. I might have been jumping the gun on that call.... I was fairly pleased with the install process. It was a bit scary digging up that much of my yard, but it all worked out. I am very pleased with my Generac generator and switch box. Fully automated with manual by-pass if needed. I would recommend Jim Fish and his company to anyone.

They did not install a generator; I did not purchase one from anyone. I thought that they were high priced, and I felt that possibly they were "overselling" size, based on what others I talked with had for generator size vs. multiple air conditioner units. The cost WOULD have been ~ $10+K I WAS impressed by the fact that this is all they do, and so, stock repair parts locally.
