We did not renew our contract this year with Bio Tech. Over the past year this company became reluctant to come back and treat for pest and their quality of service went downhill. Original Review We bought an old home that had a substantial bug problem. I choose Bio Tech based on reviews, plans offered and their customer service over the phone. I called and asked for someone as soon as possible and they arranged it for the next afternoon. The technican came out and did a through inspection, however rushed through the treatment process because the technician didn't want to be late for another appointment. We have had to call Biotech two additional times and they sent out technicians promptly who were very through in the treatment. I am very happy with their service and will continue to use them.

After researching, I highly recommend the Termite Treatment Plan with Annual Renewal cost over the Termite Protection Plan. The Termite Protection Plan is what they try to sell more of, but I don't think the savings are significant enough to not have any method of prevention. If you are planning to keep a house for more than 5 years in this area, there is a strong possibility you could experience termites if you haven't been treated, so although they are supposed to pay for treatment, I'm sure they won't be thrilled about it and it will be like dealing with an insurance company, and they don't pay for structural damage either which could be a big deal.

They spray the whole house inside and out. They used to use a powder and now they use a spray and powder. If you have any more problems they will come back out and treat it for free.

They are great. They are professional and I haven’t seen any live bugs. They took care of what needed to be taken care of.

Absolutely LOVED this company! I have been a Terminex customer for years and had finally had enough! I was so pleased with this company and their service! I gave them a "B" for punctuality but they only deserve an A-. They were late but they called about an hour prior to inform me that they were running late. They even started with the inside so that I could leave before they finished the outside. AND, I've have NO pest problems since!!

I am a new customer to BioTech Pest Control having recently left another service due to poor quality. Both the BioTech owner & his field technician were professional in every respect and extremely knowledgeable & informative on how to correct my problems. In particular, technician Donald Moore was efficient & very thorough in his initial pest control application. Based on the positive recommendations I received from existing BioTech customers, I am confident that BioTech will live up to their outstanding service reputation in my home.

They came out and were prompt. I haven't had any problems with them. They came right out. They didn't charge me for checking. It was just part of the service. We thought we had a wasp problem, so the man checked for us. He said it wasn't wasps. The first time they came out, they had to reschedule, so they took a bit off the bill.

We have been using them for three years now. I have a yearly contract with them. They are reasonably priced and the work is done properly. They respond properly and they are professional and courteous. We didn't have a big issue as such because we always had a pest company come and so it doesn't develop into one. It is more a preventive procedure that we use them for.

I really love them. I could use their services and it was a once a year product. It was safe for my animals and my grand baby. I had a little problem with their scheduling. I will use their services again in the future.

The guy was very thorough and very good. I always use them and I like them. I always refer them to people as well. Their price is excellent and they'll come out fifty times if you want them to for that price. The guy was really good and he explained everything he was doing. He stayed and checked everything he did.

The total bill was unusually high for normal stuff. They have always been top notch. They come out and always punctual. Their follow up is excellent because we had a couple of times questions of bugs that had been in the house. They come out promptly. As far as coverage and annual visit there is one year guarantee. So I never ever had any negative feed back. In fact when we had some swarming termites which were normal at that time of year, they came out immediately and made the assessment of what was going on and we opted for preventative services and they did termite shield around the house at our request.

Cannot say enough good things about both employees I encountered.

Shane was exceptionally user friendly and clearly is knowledgable in his field. He provided helpful information about how to prevent ants from having access to the access to the house (trim tree branch back) and about the annual pest control program .We would not hesitate to use Bio Tech again and, in fact, have already recommended them to 2 of our neighbors.

They were fine. They will be coming back to do some more work.

I first contacted Bio-Tech on 7/13/2010 after finding their info here on Angie's List. I had a response within hours to set up the initial appointment. A very polite and professional gentleman was there the next day to assess my problem(mice). The pricing was explained thoroughly; you pay only for services rendered. The steps they would take were explained thoroughly, taking into account my dogs, whom I was worried about getting into the bait. 7/15/2010 a technician came out to do the initial service, this took about 2 hours. He used about 3-4 different types of baits/traps for different locations: kitchen, attic, roof and outside on the ground. At first they came back every 2-3 days, then once a week, then every 2 weeks, now we are down to once a month baiting of outside stations. I am ever so grateful, I live in the country in a 4000 sq. ft. house that is 60 years old, mice and occasionally rats are an ongoing risk. I was unable to completely eradicate the mice with regular home methods. Thanks to the folks at Bio-Tech we are rodent free. They call every month to set up the appointment, I don't have to remember. I pay them when they perform, it's $75 to re-bait 8 stations outside my home. I do wish I had the same tech every time, each new guy seems

They come periodically, I think its once or twice a year to check for the termites. Yesterday they did nothing because they didn't find anything so it was just for the inspection. Their pricing is fair because they guarantee it for a year. If you see anything, we have never in a year seen anything, but my friend has a much bigger home and she occasionally will see cockroaches or some creature in her house and they come out and re-spray. It's more expensive for the one time than other places but other places recommend that you have them out 2 to 3 times a year. It went good overall. They are very professional and very contentious about pests and children and asking you where you want it. This is out second year using them. They are very reasonable and that they guarantee their work. So rather than trying to sell you an additional plan, they will come out and take care of it. Being a recent customer, they give you a discount of $25 or something, I don't remember exactly. They give you discounts for continuing to use them and the fact that they pack it up and then don't charge you extra. They are very prompt and don't give you a wide open window. We have had then definitely within half an hour and I would say much closer to the time that they are supposed to be here. Rather than giving you a window, they give you an appointment time. On their estimates, they've always been very true and there's never been a jump in price from the estimate to the actual work. They even call and give you a reminder when it's your turn annually and as long as you schedule it within a certain amount of time, even if it goes beyond your 12 months time period, you still get the discount.

I had animal noises in my attic, and one animal chewed outside wire lights, that then blew the fuse to kitchen and dining room. James Crawford came out and gave me an estimate for setting traps, and fencing off entry ways, also I needed bug treatment. The bug treatment $226.24, and the rest was for the squirrels/rats. They were very prompt when coming to your home. The first tech put traps just right around the entrance of the attic. (My kids have a put a lot of stuff close to the entry), I called with concerns of location, and they sent someone out right away (James) to place traps nearer location of animal heard in attic. They then fenced in all entry ways of squirrels/rat. When I heard noises in the attic that day James can out right away to check cages to see how we could catch the squirrel, and did verify the squirrel was still in the attic. The next day my daughter watched the squirrel finish chewing a new hole in the front of the house (who was now trapped in the house), and ran out of the hole. When called they could not come that day, but came out the next day an put up a metal plate. We did not know if the animal had come back in the house, (It did, the squirrel) He was finely trapped in a cage, the team came right out even at night to remove him. James Crawford came several times at night to help us, and with the squirrel removal He was very professional, and nice. He said they would come back out in the warmer weather and paint the metal plate to match the front of the house. I was very pleased with the service of this team

They represented their company very well. They did what they said they were going to do. We haven't had any bugs, which is very good. They guarantee their work for a year, which is a long guarantee. If I have any problems, they'll come out to deal with them without charging me. They were very professional. Their price was good.

This company was excellent. We had two separate companies tell us that we had bedbugs, which we just did not believe. They couldn't produce any real evidence and just sounded like they wanted us to pay thousands of dollars for a treatment plane. We had Bio-Tech come out and do a thorough inspection. They laughed at the suggestion of bedbugs, and when I showed them a bug that one of the other companies had said was a bedbug, they laughed even harder. We ended up having them treat for some minor issues anyway, but just calling them saved us thousands of dollars in unnecessary expense. It's nice to find a company that is still honest and professional, rather than ripoff artists. They have a client for life.

Uniformed folks, which is very nice. They worked with our schedule and worked efficiently. The office confirmed appointments on the day of and the tech would call when he was on his way when we requested such notice, which was a pleasant change from much of the other work we've had done recently (not by these folks; by others). Only complaint, and this is a minor one, is that they promised to clean up the rat poop, but didn't until we pointed out where it was. When we did that, they had to send out another guy because the first was too . . . rotund. So it took 3 visits in total to get it cleaned up, but no biggie. Still would highly recommend these folks. They were the second highest bid, but the highest bid was nearly double for what appeared to be the exact same services except for one thing. This bid did not include releasing an irritant gas in our crawl spaces to get the rodents out before putting up the exclusion wire. We couldn't imagine that the gas alone doubled the cost, so we didn't go with the highest bid. We're glad we went with Bio-Tech.

Spotted a rat in my pantry!! Called Bio-Tech on Thursday and they came out that afternoon to explore the house and find where there might be possible entry points. Art set traps in various places and left us with a written plan (mapped out where entry points might be) and told me in detail what he was going to do on the second visit (i.e., close up all areas where they might be getting in). The following Monday, Art came back to check all traps and begin closing all possible entry points. Art was always on time, very professional, neat, very considerate (to the point of taking off his shoes before entering the house). His repairs were carefully done and thorough and he very patiently answered all of my questions. He had many suggestions as to food storage (make sure all dog and cat food containers were securely closed; purchase a garbage can that closes securely (instead of an open wastebasket under the sink) in order not to provide food sources. On the final visit, Art closed up a large gap and removed all traps. I was given a senior discount of $50.00 and was told that if I had any more problems I just had to call them and anything they needed to do would be covered for a year's time.

So far they have been excellent. I have not seen one bug in my house. They are very nice and professional. They explained everything. They showed up on time. Everything was really good about them. If I find any bugs within the year they will come and do the extermination for free.

They took their time. Very efficient.

They came out as quickly as they could. In addition to this I had suddenly had a roach problem (first time). They explained why this happened, and that I was seeing a stage of tree roach. They explained July was the wettest month followed by triple digit temperatures. They let me know that they encourage keeping children under 12 months out of a home after spraying for up to an hour. They treated my garage and attic. When my grand children leave they are going to come back and spray the main house. They warned me of things I will see as they solve these problems, roaches etc. They let me know wasps should be gone immediately. They came back the next day, so I called the company. They came back after hours that same day to take care of the problem. They are very knowledgable and took time to explain things to me. I really appreciate the knowledge and safe operation they provide.

The guy came, showed me trouble spots and warned me about what to do with them. He sprayed all over the house, and when I asked him how much it cost he said nothing because I'm a regular yearly customer. I guess they considered it a touch up, but I don't think I've had them since last spring. Last time they came, I didn't think it worked, and called back, and within two days another guy came out. I like them because they strive for nontoxic solutions. THey're located in the Woodlands and do charge you if they come to your house and you're not there, but that's no problem for me!
