Description of Work: Dug a long trench and laid a new gas line. Also inspected in the crawlspace for any leaks. Showed up hours later than promised for the actual work and that resulted in not passing city inspection for two extra days (well that and using an external valve that didn't meet the specific city code requirements). The whole reason we chose them was it was going to be the coldest week of the year and they said they could get the work done in one day. Even after getting green-tagged, it required multiple phone calls for two follow-up visits: one to backfill the trench and one to replace the bricks they knocked out of my wall (which we were told by workers would be replaced, but told by the people on the phone they were not responsible for). The final result was satisfactory but the journey to get there was not. Also multiple other companies have told us we overpaid, but the price we paid WAS the price quoted so it isn't like they were dishonest in that regard. In fairness I should also mention Berkey's charged us $250 or so for fixing a few small attic leaks but removed that charge in an effort to make up for the house having no heat or hot water for two extra days. Too much drama and too many disagreements for me to ever utilize their services again. Maybe you'll have better luck.

Description of Work: They know what they're doing and they get the job done correctly the first time, but they're always trying to sell you something else while they're at your house. After a while that gets a little irritating.

Description of Work: A electrician came out to give estimate on how much it would cost to ground/bond CSST gas line to my tankless water heated installed in 2011. The code changed in 2009 to bond these lines but the city of Keller didn't adopt this code apparently until after I had this installed. After reading and seeing on the news that these lines could explode in lightning storm if not grounded/bonded I became concerned. I'm still deciding weather I will have this done because it's not an easy fix. I've had another electrician come out and I have also talked to city of Keller code office. All tankless water heaters with CSST gas lines must be grounded/bonded to date..prior to this install I didn't have any CSST gas lines in my attic..all hard black pipe..At city of Kellers suggestion, I plan on talking to the manufacturer of this CSST piping to get their opinion..

Description of Work: We have extended mtce plan and have received good service but when we have gotten bids for other work they seem to be always higher priced. If they got their prices more in line with the industry we would use them more.

Description of Work: 1.Replace 4" Frost Proof Hose Bibb (6")-Outside faucet |2.Rebuild Moen Single Handle T&S Valve-Shower O-ring replacement for leaky shower head. The Berkey team is prompt, professional, and don't force you to do anything. I'm a DIY type person so I try to minimize what I have them do b/c I think they're a little pricey. I've never had an issue with any of the work they've though.

Description of Work: We had a regular scheduled maintenance. We have used Berkeys many times for the heating and air conditioning and are very satisfied,

Description of Work: Replaced two AC units and two heat furnaces. Also installed new water heater and replaced 3 toilets. Very good communication and workmanship and quickly resolved a couple of issues that arose during the course of work.

Description of Work: The hot waster faucet in the master bath would not turn off. The cartridge inside that mechanism was completely stripped (house was built 20 years ago). Nick the technician had to remove the tub skirt and retrofit much of the hardware, then install a new hot/cold water and faucet. This involved twice having to get parts brought to him and one trip to the hardware store for a screwdriver that fit. It was a lot of work. A 20-year-old bathtub has parts that aren't made anymore. Nick did a great job, and I used our discounts.

Description of Work: Very professional and punctual. The diagnosis on my HVAC unit was that I needed a new one as the recommendation for replacing the parts was very expensive. The quote for a new system installed was out of my price range and I was unable to get financing for this. Therefore, I was forced to get a cheaper option from another vendor. | |If I did have the funds I would have definitely chosen Berkey's to do the work. The tech seemed very knowledgeable about HVAC systems and even gave me tips to improve efficiency once the unit was up and running again. | |I did end up purchasing Berkey's BAM service for twice a year maintenance on my unit.

Description of Work: I contracted them to clean and inspect three HVAC systems in the home. They sold me "up" on their service contract, stating that if I bought the contract then the costs of parts would only be their cost; with no markup. | |Turns out, we needed a new valve. The cost of "instillation" was more than if I had another company do it. So, I told them no, cancelled the contract and had another company do it; and I saved money.

Description of Work: The valve in our shower broke when trying to install a new handle/backplate. We had to turn the water off - and would have had to go without all weekend - but Berkey's has weekend service. They were prompt, professional and did a great job. We have used them again.
