Not available for three months. Needed work sooner

Mr. Whitaker returned my call within 2 days. When I told him I wanted him to bid a bathroom remodel he very politely informed me there was a $50 charge for him to give me an estimate. I refused his service.

Brian has done numerous jobs for us, and his work is always meticulous and beautiful. We are especially pleased with the results of our kitchen face lift. All the cabinets are beautifully done, his painting and staining is perfect. He always cleans up after himself each day of the projects, so that it doesn't seem he was even there. On any given project of ours, there are unforeseen problems because we have an old house. Brian tackles these glitches, and always comes up with good solutions. He is also the hardest worker I've ever seen!

This man that did the tile work, is also really good at plumbing. He was able to take off all of the tile around the tub and research what the problem was. He did not charge much at all. He also went into our stone shower and fixed a problem that the builders had never completed. It involved depluming and tiling the bottom of the shower and re-grouting the shower. It was actually four jobs that Mr. Whitaker and his partner did in two days. They cleaned up beautifully. They walked us through everything when they were done and we have been totally pleased with Whitaker. Mr. Whitaker came and listened to us tell him all of the small problems. He took pictures and he suggested that we buy the tile ourselves. He did not try to do add on and nothing was added on. I wanted a particular kind of grout for the shower and he made sure that was the kind of grout that he used. We have no qualms. Even before his partner arrived to do the work, we were comfortable that what was going to be done was going to be done right and there would not be any additional charges. The prices were extremely fair.

To say this job went well is an understatement. Brian and his associate, Sam (he does the tile) are true perfectionists. They worked on many details I would have never found. This was a big job, it took seven weeks. They essentially worked six days per week to keep the job going. They arrived promptly every day and completely cleaned up the job every day. With a job of this size, I made several scope changes which were easily accommodated. Brian communicates well and makes sure you understand any changes and any additional costs. Remodels can be a nightmare with all of the work going on. Brian and Sam made it almost a non-event. I have already had a brief conversation with Brian about future changes to my kitchen. I cannot recommend Brian enough.

The cabinets turned out perfectly. He had a great attention to detail and the quality was very high.

Brian was always punctual and did an awesome job. He is pretty busy so it might take a while to get on the schedule, but if you can wait, it's worth it. He's very good at what he does and seems very trustworthy and professional. I look forward to finding other things in the house he can work on.

Call Dec 24, and left message. Got reply on Dec 27 saying minimum charge for estimate was $50 and couldn't start work until mid March. Did not re-contact them, just wiped them off my list of potential contractors.

Brian is very professional. He communicated each step of the way. Brian is an expert craftsman and pays attention to each detail. We are very pleased with his work. He was clean and courteous.

It was perfect. The best thing about him is that every day he cleaned up. I couldn't tell anyone was there aside the work he did. He was extremely neat, professional and the price was great. He was so cordial and so good; we plan on using them again.

I have contracted with Mr Whitaker on several projects to repair sheetrock, widen doorways and rework another bathroom.His sheetrock work is excellent matching textures and providing a seamless look to blend with existing walls and ceilings. In this project there were a few decisions to be made as walls were opened and problems exposed. He always discussed with me the options. I felt I had control over the work that was done. He and his tile master offered suggestions and worked with me as the preperation for tiling bagan. We worked together to develop a reasonable approach to making these batherooms easily accessible for my mobility challenged family members. The work areas were always left in an orderly manner and as clean as possible so we could live in the space as the work was being done. There were very few instances when workers needed to leave the job site to purchase needed materials. As unexpected issues came up Mr Whitaker would discuss with me the options and potential cost before the work was done. this included finding that one vent fan in one bathroom was not vented to the outside. I was given the information, options available and estimated cost before work proceeded. The other big potential cost was installing lateral drains in both showers. This had a big impact on the budget but Mr Whitaker did research and found that this was not necessary to install in the space of my showers and exisiting drains would work and still provide the accessibility I required. I have been very satisfied with the projects completed by this company and will continue to seek bids from Mr Whitaker as new projects present themselves.

They came to my house to give an estimate, but they were outbid by another provider. They were pleasant and responsive, but another company with an equally good reputation offered to do the same job for less money.

Although his service area is listed as Galveston, Harris counties and i live in north Harris county(south of 1960) he was not interested in doing any work for me because of my location. After hearing him backing out on work i promptly ended the phone call. Perhaps he should update his service area or specify that he will only travel long distances for "big money" jobs. He really missed out because if i liked the work he did with the back splash and walk-in shower there was more remodeling to be done. A big waste of my valuable time.

He's a one man show. He takes a little longer than I might have liked, but he is a perfectionist.

It went very well. I will use them again.

. Excellent job on the shower and the laying of the floor. Drawers he made for the old vanity was everything I could have expected. Sheet rock work and floating good in the Den. Painting was good in the Den. In the Master Bedroom where there was wall paper on the wall I can still see areas where it was there. I don't know if anything can be done about that. Have told friends and neighbors about him. I do have to say he is really a good person to work with and he does try to please. Am I going to use him again yes. I have ask him to please give me a quote to remodel my kitchen. His cabinet work is excellent. He is very much a family man like that quality in him.

Brian was great. I feel like I found someone who can do almost anything for us in the future. He's a great painter and electrician for sure. But we spoke about possibly doing cabinetry, plumbing and bathroom renovations in the future. Brian did an excellent job and was easy to work with.

Brian did a great job transforming our '70's kitchen into a showcase. In addition to replacing all the original custom cabinet drawer and door fronts using hidden hinges, he built some new cabinets and matched the trim perfectly. We were responsible for obtaining our new counter top (we chose Silestone from Home Depot); and Brian was present for coordinating on both the measurement and installation - a good thing since the old formica clad window sill above the sink had to be modified. We also had to shop for the new built-in appliances meaning it was our responsibility to make sure the sizes were correct. Brian then installed them (dishwasher, wall oven, cook top, vent hood) and plumbed the new sink drain with new disposer and faucets without any problems. He also built pull out bins for two of the lower cabinets which makes for super accessibility. One of the things we're happiest with is the L-shaped bench seating he built along two walls of the eating area. The two seats have piano hinges for access to storage beneath them. To top it off he put in a new window above the sink. We were concerned initially about painting and texturing over a wallpapered wall and the areas where formica was removed and new backsplash wasn't being done. It turned out perfectly. As soon as we can figure out how we want our built-in bookcase in the den redone, we're calling him back. For clarification, the amount spent, $9,000, does not include the cost of the Silestone countertop and the new appliances.

Our experience with Whitaker was great. He was very polite. His planning of the job was very easy, we were able to sit down before the job and talk about what needed done. The price for the job was worth it, very reasonable. With all that we needed done, he was willing to drive a long way to take care of us. I would recommend Whitaker to anyone.

Whitaker Home Repair Remodeling I really liked Whitaker Home Repair Remodeling, and I am going to get another estimate on other work I want done. He was not pushy at all, he told me that some of the stuff like my vanity was in good condition and if I didn't want to spend the money it didn't really need to be done right now. He will recommend things to you the he thinks you might like. I just like really, really him and so does my daughter. After he gets done here he is going to give my mother an estimate to redo her kitchen. He is very professional.

Brian paid a lot of attention to detail and was very clean while he worked. The end product looked great. His pace was al little slower than I would have liked. He estimated 3-4 days and it actually took 5.

There was nothing I did not like, he was great. I would consider using them in the future.

From initial response to my inquiry to completion of the project Brian was excellent. Not only was he punctual and polite, he was reasonably priced and produced an excellent product. As the project progressed, Brian suggested making a change to improve on the initial design and didn't charge a dime for the modification. I couldn't be happier with the entire experience.

Brian was responsive and gave a fair quote. He did an excellent dry-wall repair, however his work with wood trim and paint was not good. Had to hire another gentleman to " fix bad haircut".
