Discovered that our water heater in the garage had been slowly leaking. Called Able at 8am and they had an electric water heater in stock and were able to offer same day service. The plumber arrived toward the end of the appointment window. He promptly started working and was finished with the install and disposal of the old water heater within 1.5 hours. Overall the service was fine, however there were two things that disappointed me and would deter me from selecting Able for future plumbing work: 1) the plumber didn't have a wet vac to help clean up some of the puddles caused by the leak, and 2) he didn't have a voltage meter to ensure the electric lines were not "hot" after cutting the breaker.

He was on time, reasonably priced, and quickly repaired pipe.

They identified the problem right away but didn't have the tools to do the job. Had to call another guy to bring tools (guess this is a way to drag an extra billable hour or two out of a job that should have taken less than 45 minutes!) After line was cleaned they left baby wipes in the middle of my yard! Also left several cigarette butts in my flowerbed next to the drain opening and when they came inside tracked dirt! Listen, I understand that they don't have the nicest job in the world but at least tell someone that the stuff needs to be picked up and W** with the cigarette butts and dirt? Do you expect to get a good review with this kind of performance?

It was pretty good. The people were nice, they did a good job. They saved me a lot of money. They found the leak and got everything closed off and secured.

We had asked for an estimate on a new water heater. The crew came and were friendly. The appointment was rescheduled once by the provider. The crew arrived at the very end of the window I was given. They went iinto the attic to assess the cost. They said they tried to replace a small part, but the water heater was old and out of code. They stated the water heater was manufactured in 1994 (I confirmed this more thatn once with the crew) and was installed out of code. I was given an estimate that included all work including the water heater. When I asked if he could just give me an estimate on labor and parts only, since we were considering purchasing the WH at a home improvement store, he was not able to break the price down for us. The dissappointment in this visit came when I went in the attic myself and looked at the water heater and realized the serviceman had lied to me about the age of the WH. It was clearly labeled that is was manufactured in 2002. This left my husband and I to wonder what else we were lied to about.We were very frustrated in this since we had been without hot water for some time at this point. We decided to go with the home improvement store for the entire installation. It turned out that the old WH was installed out of code and the estimate Able's gave us was only a little high, but because they misled us about the age of the WH we didn't know if they could be trusted. I would like to think this was just an isolated incident. I am willing to give them another chance, but I do feel that we paid them $100 for basically nothing.

Called them Saturday morning and they were out before noon to fix a leak just right outside my garage. Once they found the location of the leak, it didn't take them long to fix. I appreciate the service on a Saturday morning. I forgot about the Angie's coupon until after they left, but it will still worth the money it to get it taken care of on short notice.

They honored the coupon. It took them about 1 1/2 hours. They fixed the issue, but there was a minor hiccup and they came back first thing in the morning the next day.

Everything went great. We chatted a bit off and on but he was focused and worked efficiently. When he arrived, he handed me a business card and introduced himself. I showed him where the washing machine is now and where I think it had been in the past. After telling him how the problem presented and what steps we had taken prior to calling Able Plumbing. He checked the sewer clean out which is on the other side of the house and tried to snake the line as we had. He then determined he needed to install a clean out behind the washing machine and cut out a piece of sheetrock and did so. Now the water seems to be draining very well.

Arrived on time, comleted the installation quickly, and did not leave a mess. I plan to use them in the future for our plumbing needs.

I had called to get my gas line moved because I purchased a new stove and the gas outlet was too high for the back of the stove and the stove would not fit against the wall. But, the repairman said the line could not be moved and the best he could do was put a smaller nipple on the line and move the stove a little closer to the wall. I agreed since that seemed to be my only option. However, that weekend, I was talking to my neighbor, who had found the same problem when she purchased her new stove (about a year ago), but her plumbing company was able to move her line. Now, I wish I would have gone with her company, which was about the same price that I paid.

The job went very well and I will be using them again for any of my future plumbing needs.

This experience was not quite as good initially as my other two experiences with Able Plumbing. They had a new employee working for them who had been primarily a new construction plumber from another area. He applied construction type practices such as using pipe shears for cutting plastic pipe. That does not work well with aged pipe, especially as the house had PVC rather than CPVC piping, and two leaks on different sets of piping resulted during the job. I will emphasize, they responded quickly to the problems and repaired them including one late night temporary patch so I could have water until the final repair. I do not know the details of their relations with the prime contractor, but for the second repair they replaced all the piping inside the house related to that system. I understand from talking with the tech who had done the work, he had been thoroughly indoctrinated on the differences in technique between working on new construction and on remodels. I plan still to call them first when I have plumbing issues. I did not change their ratings above since they responded so well to the problems that came up. While cleaning the toilet with a wand type cleaner, my wife accidently released the brush. The toilet would drain out when flushed but would not get the necessary vigorous flush action. I tried a drain snake I had but it was not flexible enough to make the S bend without binding. Able plumbing said it might be necessary to remove the toilet but they would try their snake first. The plumber was able to use a snake cutter to break up the plastic/plastic mesh brush without having to remove the toilet. He was actually apologetic about the bill but a block of time has a set rate. I did not mind paying it because the alternative was removing and reinstalling the toilet which, in a 20 year old house has its own risks. I have used Able Plumbing twice and will do so again if needed.

The experience went very well. He was upfront and straightforward and actually completes the work for less. We will use Able Plumbing in the future to replace our bath room fixtures.

After seeing positive reviews for Able plumbing on Angie's List I called them to see if they serviced the Pearland area, which they did. I set it up for Ben to call me when he was about 30 minutes from my home so I could leave work and let him in to do the repair. Ben called me when he was 30 minutes away, we met at my home. He replaced a faulty cartridge in my master shower (which was causing an annoying drip). The charge was $95 for the service call, a $5 fuel surcharge and $55 plus tax for the replacement cartridge. Ben was awesome, the entire thing took less than an hour and I will call him again.

The experience was good. They came, repaired the valve and left.

Response to my phone call was polite and prompt. There was a bit of confusion with the work scheduling, hence the "B" in professionalism. The ownership was responsive in correcting this. For some reason, which may be my fault, they did not find the cut original gas pipe that could have been rethreaded which I had place in plain view by the work to be done and told them about. This resulted in two extra threaded connections because they used precut nipples and a coupling. The work done looked just fine. The work on the washing machine water piping was done well and neatly. The personnel were polite, did not leave a mess, and were thorough and helpful as illustrated by them taking time to relight the pilot for the water heater. I would not hesitate to use them again and actually did mention them to someone else.

The ground around our water meter was saturated and we wanted to deal with it quickly. The first plumber we called couldn't make it for several days and seemed to have significant service fees. I called Able and they arrived within two hours. In spite of the rainy day, they quickly got to work and gave me an estimate of $175 plus parts. I told them to proceed and they repaired the leak. The final bill of $155 was a nice surprise. They told me that our neighbor's water line had a similar leak. I asked them to advise the neighbor and they agreed to do so. Over time, I've had good and bad experiences with plumbers. Able was a pleasure and we'll call them again.

The experience went very well. Ben Jordan is very professional and knows what he is doing. He does it very straightforward. I also have a rental property and I am very comfortable having my tenant just call him and arrange for him to come and do things. He actually did something with them within the last month also. I think he replaced their faucet.

Ben was able to do the work the same day. He was very professional. He came in saw what was wrong and fixed it in a very short time. His prices are reasonable and fair.
