Danny and his assistant, Shannon did an awesome job. They were always on time and cleaned up after the days work. The quality of work was excellent too. I would definitely use them again for another project.

Seemed a little pricey for the brief amount of time it took to repair, but I must factor in that he did have to find the part for the valve and I do not know how much time that took.

Danny Hilger is the guy to ask for. He oversaw all the work that was being done on the house and made sure that any other workers did right. His own work was excellent. This was a big job and while it took a little longer than we were expecting, he got it done before Christmas just like he said he would. And he really tried to make sure we got exactly what we wanted. Everybody who walked into the house over the holiday was amazed. By the way, Danny's phone # is 281 508 3209. I recommend him highly.

I was able to replicate the leak immediately after he left and called him to return. He had the attitude that I was wasting his time, but did come back. I showed that the tub leaked when it was filled to a certain point and his fix was to tell me just to avoid filling the tub that far. It took me insisting and pressing the issue for him to actually repair the leak. It has been a few months and the tub has not leaked again.

Jeremy came out & gave me a detailed description and itemized proposal on what repairs I needed. The following day all work was done, and I have incurred no problems. I would recommend this company to anyone in need of plumbing repair.

I called on Sunday because everything was backing up at the house and the gentleman that answered the phone was very helpful in letting me know that there would be an extra charge for weekend appointments, how much it would cost to clean the drain ($135 which was consistent with what I saw on other reviews for Able) and let me know what I could do so that I could utilize my toilets until the appointment we made for Monday between 3 and 5. No one showed up on Monday, and I called around 5:15 but only the plumber on call answered the phone. He said he would call the office and call me back when I explained what happened. He didn't call back. To his defense he did tell me he was already on his way home and it had been raining buckets all day. On Tuesday I called the office and explained what had happened and made an appointment for Wednesday morning. Rudy was the plumber that came out and arrived promptly. When I asked him how much it would cost he said $150. I explained that I talked to a guy on Sunday that quoted me $135, he said he didn't know, that it was $40 for the machine and $110 labor. I made the decision to move forward with the appointment. He cleaned the sewer three times. The first two times he couldn't find anything and the third time he said that he couldn't get through to the city line and that I would need to excavate at the city line to see what is going on. I explained to him that I will call the city and have them flush the line as this is part of their services in Pasadena. He worked very slowly and twice he spent about 15 minutes during this 2 hour period in his truck. He told me that he had been at the house for almost 2 hours and I could either pay the hourly rate ($100 X 2) or the $150. I felt very uncomfortable and disappointed with the appointment after the reviews on Angies List.

Everything I could expect from a Licensed plumber. On time, pleasant cleaned up after installation and price was very reasonable for work done. A+++++++ Ask for Juan

The two gentlemen were very friendly and professional. They were on time and did a wonderful job. I would hire them again.

I had a large list of tiny repairs the gentleman they sent could not do all the work. Even though I told them over the phone what the items were they didn't send someone who could deal with it all. The quality of work was excellent, but it seemed to take a while, not being a plumber I don't know if my perception of slow is fair or accurate.

Promised would be at house between 1&3 PM. When did not show by 3:10, I called and was told would be there "within one hour". Did not show until 5 PM and the person who came did not have the equipment, parts, or capability to do the job. They sent someone else the next day who did do the job. We were having a new washer delivered and needed to have the old faucets replaced first. We called Able Plumbing (as i had seen them working on our street and in Angie's List). We were told they could come out the next day. The serviceman showed up actually a few minutes early. He was great! We needed the water off at the house intake and he knew exactly where it was. He explained what needed to be done and started in. He was very fast and very good! He was polite and professional. The price was very good! We will definitely use Able plumbing for all our future plumbing needs!!!

The sewer gets clogged about once per year and this has been consistent in the 20 plus years since we bought this property. Able has been consistently prompt, helpful and they don't try to hard sell extra services. They do the job we asked for, at a reasonable price and are always friendly and professional . They came when early in their schedule window, did a neat job, and tidied up after themselves. More work will have to be done to properly finish the job, but that will come in a few days. I have already called to schedule the more permanent repair which will take place in a few days.

They showed up on time, in fact 15 minutes early. The craftsman was very polite and listened as I described the problem then went right to work. He had to go to his supplier for parts and did not charge us for that time. The work site was like he had never been there even though he had to cut holes into the wall. Good contractors are hard to find but we will use Able as our go to plumb er in the future.

The plumber was punctual and completed the job in less than an hour.

I have nothing but good things to say about two recent experiences my family has had with this company. A few weeks ago, my elderly mother had a flex line to her toilet break and flood her house. The insurance adjuster recommended she have all of the supply lines to her toilets replaced (the ones she had are known for breaking). I told her she should call Able Plumbing, because of their glowing reviews on Angie's List. She did and they sent out Rudy. My mother loved him! She was also delightfully surprised with the price (I don't know what the price was). Then over this last weekend, the supply line to my hot water heater sprung a bad leak. I shut the valve off and decided to wait until Monday. I called Able Monday morning and they scheduled someone to come the same day (at my requested time frame). Juan was the technician who came and he was great! He called to tell me he was on his way and arrived right on schedule. After looking at the line, he gave me a ballpark estimate of what it was going to cost and then went right to work. He had the issue fixed in nothing flat. That's important when you're paying by the hour. When he was done, he made the effort to explain to me what created the problem and as a female, I really appreciated that. He also took the time to answer questions I had regarding water pressure in my house. I'm remodeling two bathrooms this fall and planned on getting a couple of plumbing estimates. I've dreaded the process, because I've had such miserable luck with contractors. As a matter of fact, the leak I had fixed, was due to another contractor's poor workmanship. I don't feel the need to get estimates now, I've already made up my mind, Able will get all of the plumbing work. Thanks Able for employing professional, nice people. Showed up on time and ready to work. I had a leak in the wall of a closet that I could not locate. He came out and went up into the attic and walked around the outside of the house in attempt to find the leak. Could not locate the source after looking at every angle. Ended up having to cut into the sheetrock and use an inspection camera to pinpoint the leak. The source was actually due to a bad valve on hot water heater combined with pipe that was not installed correctly by a previous plumber. He changed the valve and rerouted the pipe and recommended someone to fix the sheetrock if needed. He showed me the defective part and explained what was going on the whole time he was here. Great service and we will call them first for any future plumbing problems.

Excellent job. Scheduled an appointment at my convenience. Prompt-notified me at 1:50 pm tht they were on their way for the 2-4 pm timeframe. Finished job and took my payment info over the phone since I was not at the site. I would definitely use Able Plumbing again.

I was very happy to find Able Plumbing. They worked with the tile guy schedule and did an excellent job of the conversion. The team of two asked key questions and brought a few design/structural pointers to my attention. They asked how high to set the shower fixture ( I'm vertically challenged) and pointed out that the drain required adjustment. Plus left instructions for the tile guy on an adjustment to the valve, if required. They waited till the glue dried, then turned the water back on and tested. Fine service. So happy to have found a dependable and reasonable plumber!
