+ -1 moreBefore Superior Foundation Repair could begin the work, they ended up in court. I was told that they were separating from their Austin office and could not continue any work until a judge made a ruling. I didn't go into much detail because after I heard "court" and "judge", I decided to contact another foundation repair company.
Description of Work: A corner of my home had settled approximately 1/2 inch within a few months time. It was determined that I had broken drain pipes under my house and that the flowing water under the slab was causing the settling problem. Superior Foundation came to my home, did an initial assessment, showed me the results, and we discussed a solution to the problem. We agreed on a price, date and time for the repair, and I contacted a plumber who would complete the plumbing repair.

He professionally explained his findings and what they meant. I later called Brent and I asked if they wouldn't mind emailing me their findings and both he and Roy did so. I was very happy with their service and going above and beyond. I would highly recommend them.

Felt like they are honest and the price was great, Neighbor had her home lifted and for 5 or 7 peers it cost her over $5000.00 and I had 17 peers done. Superior's bid was in the middle of the three, but it was the company I initially leaned toward (because their engineering behind their repair efforts were the most sound). When I was ready to have the work done, I called the company back and they gave me the same price quoted in December 2010. They came out the following week and did the job. They were professional and when it was over, hardly left a foot print that they had been there.

+ 0 moreThey were prompt, courteous, and professional from the time Roy came to my house to assess the scope of the job to the clean up when they finished. A supervisor was on the job at all times. They hired a plumber to check the sewer lines for leaks before the lift, and he came back to check for leaks after the lift. A foundation engineer supervised the lift. Every single person down to the workers doing the heavy lifting were respectful, hard working, and did a wonderful job making sure the flowers and shrubbery around the house remained as undisturbed as possible. They even put the soil from the pier holes in plastic bags instead of just throwing it on the ground. You can hardly tell they were even there. And the results are very pleasing. Most of the hairline and other cracks in the house closed completely. I am totally satisfied. Brent Goodman, the owner delivered as promised. Without reservation I recommend Superior Foundation.

+ -1 moreWe had been seeing symptoms of our foundation shifting for a couple of years and finally decided to have it taken care of. Superior Foundation came out and measured the variance in the level of our foundation. Their numbers matched with another company we had an estimate from. We decided to go with Superior because they used steel piers instead of concrete and they went to bedrock instead of just to resistance. The procedure was explained in full, the damage to our yard was minimal, and the crew cleaned up completely. The whole job was finished in a day and everyone involved were polite and professional.
Description of Work: Superior Foundation installed 16 steel piers down to bedrock around the back half of our house. Raised back half of house 1.3 inches.

+ 0 moreSuperior Foundation Repair was very prompt from the time that I requested a bid. They came out and bid the job promptly and they were very quick to respond to all of my questions. In addition, while other companies had a several week lead time before they could start, Superior Foundation Repair was able to start immediately. That made getting other repairs to the house done, much easier. While they initially estimated that the job may take 3-4 days, they were done in half of the time. The entire time they were there, they were very professional and someone was always available to answer all of my questions.
Description of Work: Superior Foundation Repair came out to my new home and leveled one portion of the home and installed piers in another portion of the home.

+ 0 moreWe scheduled them out for an estimate along with two other companies. Great first impression. Roy was very knowledgeable and professional about the whole process from start to finish. We reviewed our 3 estimates and chose to schedule a second appointment with Superior Foundation to ask more question at which point they confirmed our first impression that we were choosing the correct company to meet our needs. We signed a contract and they were able to schedule repairs very quickly. The work crew was very professional and very organized. The site prep, foundation lift and cleanup went very quickly and without any problems. Our home required a 7 & half inch lift at the worst point. The difference when completed was incredible. The site cleanup was impressive. Looked better than when they started. Anyone needing foundation repairs need look no further than Superior. They are first class.

+ -1 moreI was satisfied with their work. They did everything they said they would do. It did take them 3 days but it wasn't inconvienient at all. Their foreman Robert is outstanding. At first the owner came out and told me what they were going to do and we agreed to it. I paid $5,000 after the first day and then the rest later. They did an outstanding job on the cleanup afterwards. I had no problems at all. He explained everything they were doing all the way through. He also made sure I was satisfied when the job was completed.
Description of Work: They put a lot of piers down in my foundation - repaired my foundation.

+ -1 moreThe work involved the installation of 19 - 25 piers in order to lift the house and level it to code. The project was initially scheduled for 3 days, but took 4. On the last day, an engineer was present on the site. He was cordial and ensured the home was lifted/leveled to code. All involved were professional. There were no huge machinery, noise was minimal and they kept all debris contained in large plastic bags. It was great to see all work being done in such a neat manner. My only concern was that the effects of leveling the home left us with additional costs to have the effects of leveling repaired.
Description of Work: Superior Foundation Repair provided an estimate which was a day later than the promised date. This was overlooked because Superior gave a huge discount on the overall cost of the repair. The estimator was punctual, accurate and thorough in his explanation.

Brent arrived on time and preformed the tests then took time to explain the situation and the work that needed to be done. He was very patient and professional. He answered all my questions and encouraged me to call him if I had additional concerns or questions.The work crews arrived on time each day and worked all day to dig the holes and install the piers. I never saw them standing around talking or smoking. They cleaned up at the end of the day and left everything in an orderly fashion. I have a lot of plants around the foundation and they were careful to protect them as much as possible. Robert was here several times during the day and was also very professional and kept me informed during the lift process. At completion the work crew cleaned everything up and Brent called me to see if I had any questions or concerns. I am very pleased with the completion of work and the professionalism of Brent and Robert

Description of Work: I can not say how pleased we were with the work this company provided. All the workman were polite, worked all day until the job was finished and cleaned everything up. I would recommend this company to anyone. The best I have ever had. They gave me the est. on the 6th and started the work on the 7th. Mr. Luna was professional and helpful. All I can say is thanks for doing a great job to everyone who accomplished my house leveling.

+ -1 moreThe survey and job estimate (scope of work and cost) were provided at no cost. Roy gave me a detailed description of what would be done and a time frame (1-2 days). On the scheduled start date, the work crew of two arrived right on time and went right to work. They got 12 of the holes dug and the piers set the first day (hard work on a very hot day!). All the dirt they dug out went into heavy plastic bags .. one by each hole. The second day a 4-man crew arrived on, time again, and went right to work to finish digging the holes (including one through the concrete patio) and setting the piers. Lifting the house back to level was supervised by Robert, an expert with over 20 years of experience doing this work. Once the lift was complete, the crew welded the piers in position, filled the holes with the dirt that had been placed in bags, poured concrete to fill the hole in the patio, and cleaned up all remaining debris. All the work was accomplished in 2 days, as promised, and everything was done professionally. The entire crew knew what they were doing and did it extremely well. Great job!
Description of Work: Superior Foundation Repair did a thorough survey of my foundation that included measurements to determine how much variation there was from a level position in the center of the house. The actual work included hand-digging 14 holes to set steel piers that were driven to bedrock (approximately 20 feet down) and then jacked to raise the house back to level. The holes were filled in after the piers were set, and all debris was cleaned up by the Superior Foundation Repair crew.

+ -1 moreLet me first begin by saying I live in Austin and the house that needed work is in San Antonio. After reading reviews from Angie's list, I scheduled an appointment with Roy. It happened to be raining the morning of the appointment and he called both my sister, who was meeting him, and myself to say he was stuck in traffic on IH35 but should be on time for the appointment. He was. He proceeded to do his test even in the rain. I received a phone call later in the day from Brent following up to see if we had questions. Received the bid the same day via email. After receiving two additional bids, I called Brent back to discuss differences. He came back out and did a follow up test. After revising the bid, we decided to go with Superior. The next morning, Brent got the permit and the crew began. Robert, job foreman, and Brent called to give me updates through out the day. I also received emails. They were professional, extremely courteous and punctual. They completed the job the next day. We went to work on house this past weekend and found all areas worked were clean and everything put back in place. An overall great experience. I can only hope that the remainder of work needed on the house goes near as well.

+ -1 moreWe were extremely satisfied. They were busy because we have had a drought in South Texas. They had told us that they could come at this time, but they were overbooked and had so much work. They called to tell us if they could schedule this for a week later and that really wasn't a problem, so it worked out better. They said they were coming out this day and this was what they were going to do. We took a bunch of pictures and videos too when the crew came. They were very professional. The crew worked for three days and every day they used to clean all that they dug out. They covered all the holes for the safety. They put little orange flags for caution. The crew was hard working. We didn't see anyone standing around smoking cigarettes or anything like that. Everybody was busy. It was a very excellent experience knowing about the process of how pierce or installing the foundation. We were so pleased with them. We wanted to do some renovation on our house and some redecorating, but we really couldn't because some of the doors wouldn't close, cracks in the walls and things like that. We had to wait till we got our house leveled before we could proceed to make any repairs. We were so happy. Our house wouldn't squeak anymore and the doors would close properly. We are happy with the quality of the work they did. One of our neighbors talked to them about doing his house.

+ 0 moreThey did an excellent job. I spent about $7000 on that service. They went over every detail with me over the phone after the engineer evaluation was done and then they sent me a quote which I accepted. We scheduled the work and they were able to come out when they said they would do the work. The first day they had a crew of about 6 who dug all the holes and on the second day only for the first half of the activity the crew were 6 guys. By the end of the day they had about 6 other guys that came out and they were able to do the entire house lift in two days, which was awesome. As a matter of fact I recommended them to my next door neighbor who has also engaged their services. They cleaned up after themselves and I could hardly tell that they were there. After they did the actual lift, they had a device that they use to determine the flatness of the foundation. They validated the foundation leveling electronically once the work was completed to verify everything. I would have to give them an absolutely best price because I had other quotes over the phone and they did not actually come in and look at it, but the cost was considerably higher. The owner came by after the work was completed to check the job. The crew actually got there before me and I think they were supposed to be there at 8, but got there at 7:30. They got their equipment all set up and they wanted to makes sure they got everything together. They were very professional, very friendly and I liked them so much that I bought them all lunch. I got them on the list and choose them based on the reviews.
Description of Work: I used Superior Foundation Repair in November and they put in about 18 piers around the house that I just bought, but first came out and did an engineer evaluation and one of the co-owners came out and did that.

He determined that, based on all measurements taken, my house was well within code and that no foundation repair was needed. I greatly appreciate his professionalism and more importantly his honesty. I would definitely recommend Superior Foundation Repair to anyone in need of foundation repair services for their home and will use them should I ever have a need for their services in the future.

Description of Work: Home needed foundation repair. Brent Goodman and his employees did an excellent job. They were punctual, polite, and their crew works very hard. They did their best to keep the job site clean. And that was no easy task because I needed 12 interior piers and 31 exterior piers. Of the 12 interior piers, six were installed inside my home; six were installed in my garage. Drilling down through the floors was very noisy, and when they welded the piers to the frame, the smell was horrible and the fire alarms kept going off. You can imagine the mess! However, they had brought in more plastic prior to starting (we had already moved as much furniture as we could and had covered most everything with plastic) and covered the walls and anything else in sight. The Project Surpervisor, Robert is very good at his job. He is also patient if you have questions. Their Engineer was on site with Brent Goodman, Robert, and the crew as the home was leveled. We no longer have doors that stick or doors that close on their own. The cracks in the ceilings and walls either disappeared or are a very minimal repair. We still had a lot of work to do to replace broken and cracked tiles - these were broken prior to their arrival. Also, our ceilings are going to need work. And our fence posts for the gates are going to need to be reset. There is also some caulking that needs to be done on the exterior of our home. I interviewed three other foundation repair companies prior to selecting Superior and I believe we made the right choice. I also had three different Structural Engineers look at my home prior to gathering repair bids as I did not know how extensive the repairs needed to be. One of the Engineers looked at all of our bids and said he knew that Superior did very good work. For anyone out there having foundation problems, I would definitely recommend Superior Foundation. Brent Goodman and his employees are honest, hard-working, and have a very good reputation - even with a Structural Engineer! Having this type of work done to your home is pretty tramatic, but Superior Foundation completed this project on a timely basis, kept us informed of their progress, and did everything possible to keep our home as clean as possible. They also tried to keep our shrubs alive. Brent has assured me that our home "isn't going anywhere," and we sure hope he is right. We enjoyed working with Superior Foundation but hope we never have to see them again because that would mean we would need to use the Lifetime Transferrable Warranty - another nice document to have in hand should we ever decide to sell our home.
