Description of Work: Needed chimney cleaned and damper worked on. Kevin arrive on time and completed the work promptly. Instead of doing expensive work on the damper, he showed us how to keep the old damper in good condition and working. He went over all the things I needed to know about operating a fireplace. He left the area very clean. Overall----a pleasant transaction.

Description of Work: He put down a drop cloth, the put a monster vacuum cleaner into the fireplace and turned it on. He then climbed onto the roof, removed the chimney cap, and brished down the chimney. Replaced the cap, then took another smaller vacuum to get soot off the ledge. He also installed a gadget to make sure the damper does not close, which we had bought elsewhere. He checked the dryer vent and announced that it was OK. He took his tools and left after the billing formalities.

Description of Work: Clean and inspected fireplace. Also, we have had several birds come into our house through the chimney. Because our house was built in 1936, we had to custom-order a chimney cap. Our realtor and neighbor commented that they thought this would cost thousands of dollars, so when the cap was only about $225, we were relieved. Chimney Masters ordered a cap for us and it was installed within a week.

 + -1 moreThe technicians called in the morning to let me know that they had finshed their morning appointment early and gave me the option of having them come to me earlier than scheduled if it was more convenient (it was). They set up their equipment, were very friendly and professional and completed both jobs in no time at all. They took great care to cover my carpets and to keep their shoes from getting soot on my floor. When they were done they promptly cleaned up and had the paperwork ready for me to sign and pay. I also received a sticker with the date and services provided so that I could place it inside my kitchen cabinet as a reminder for future work. I will most certainly use the services of Chimney Masters again! Thank you!
Description of Work: I called Chimney Masters to have my chimney cleaned and dryer vent cleared. They were very friendly on the phone and were able to provide knowledgable answers to my questions. They were able to schedule my appointment promptly for the next week. I liked that they quoted me my total and when they scheduled the appointment they even let me know the names of the technicians who would be performing the service.

 + 0 moreThe name of the company is Barsness Service Group, INC DBA BUGMASTER, CHIMNEY MASTERS, GUTTERMASTERS. Sandy (owner) set up the appointment and explained the procedures in detail. She was very nice and helpful ! The evening before our scheduled appointment, Sandy called to confirm our address location and appointment times. The company techs/workers arrived on time and did a great job ! They made sure that the floor/carpet surrounding our fireplace was covered/protected and cleaned up the areas around our fireplace prior to leaving. Barsness Service Group, INC, DBA- Chimney masters is a great company and I would recommend their chimney sweep service highly.
