The first tech to arrived took a quick look, pulled out his price list, pointed out they offered financing (without even knowing what the issue was), then said he needed his supervisor to provide an accurate estimate. At this point, all I knew was that a patch job was roughly $895. If you've ever had this problem, it takes maybe two hours to fix; at their price, it was right about $450 an hour, but I understood they had a flat rate. After the supervisor surveyed the job, a $895 patch job quickly turned into a $3,295 project, siting they could not do a patch job and guarantee their work, without installing a PRV outside and an expansion tank to my water heater inside. I was told that I was in luck because they're bundle package, which included all of the above plus a new line from the meter to my house, was the best way to go and they could start on it right away. Lucky me? Long story short, I ended up getting the patch job done by someone else for $300. Here's the kicker, I was ready to pay the $895 just because I wanted the problem fixed. Unfortunately, they got (in my opinion) greedy trying to upsell something I wasn't requesting (and possibly didn't need) and they ended up with $0. In the spirit of full disclosure, their customer service rep was very nice, both gentlemen were courteous and on time, and I did not have to pay for the estimate which was a plus.

Horrible! The technician also salesman quoted me three options; $330, $645 and $over $900 to replace the whole faucet. I bought parts from Lowe's after I watched how to replace faucet on YouTube. It cost me less than $20.

My air conditionoing system had run continuously for 48 hours, without shutting the compressor down or getting below the set temperature. At my request with "Will Fix It.com", Mr. Lunawas sent out and came into the house and checked the temperature at the intake and an outflow grid, noting there should be a 20-deg difference between the tw readings. There was only a 4-deg difference. He checked the exterior compressor pressure and, maybe, felt the compressor intake line. He continued with a very preliminary check of the system and said the compressor was malfunctionng, perhaps a failing valve. When I asked if he could tell if the compressor was still under warranty by looking at a date of manufacture on the system, he said I had to have the warranty papers. I had bought the system with the house, and the former owners were in California. Of course, I didn't have original warranty papers. ( Note, the repairman I had to come out for a second opinion found the manufactured date of 2005 on the unit, indicating it was past the usual 10-year warranty date.) Mr. Luna gave me paper work showing two possible systems, a 14 SEER and a 15 SEER, for installation costs of $8,714 and $9,947, respectively. I thanked him for coming out (at no service charge, by the way) and told him I would require a second or even a third opinion before I could spend that amount of money. He left, asking me to call again if we decided to go with the system. If I had not called for a second opinion with Will's All Pro Air Conditioning, I would not have realized how different the companies were. However, I did realize that he had performed an incomplete job in diagnosing my system's problem.
Description of Work: In response to a request for air conditioning repair, the company sent Manuel Luna to my address. He arrived at the tail end of the time frame indicated by the dispatcher. After a preliminary check, he indicated the compressor was shot, and I would need to replace the entire system at a cost of $8714 or $9,947, depending on the system I ordered. He left without attempting to repair my system.

Will Fix It contacted me regarding my concerns about a service performed on 21 March. I had some concerns about the price of the service since I performed most of the actual labor. The Quality Assurance Manager asked me to explain the situation and then she offered to credit my account to compensate for the labor that I had already performed prior to the tech showing up. I was very appreciative of her contacting me and offering the credit. This demonstrated (to me) a desire to do the right thing for the customer. Previously, I had scored them an overall grade of D. This episode would result in me revising the score to a B.
Description of Work: Adjusted my bill based on my concerns about work done earlier in the week.

First, they were great about getting out to the house the same day that I called. I had noticed a leak at my bathtub faucet. I did some internet research and figured out what the problem was. I went to Home Depot and picked up the replacement part, which included a tool to remove the cartridge. While at Home Depot, the worker their suggested that it might be more than the cartridge causing the problem and that I should contact a plumber to check it out. I was skeptical, but since I'm not an expert, I contacted WillFixIt. They said they would send someone out later that afternoon. In the meantime, I removed everything except the cartridge (the water was shutoff, so WillFixIt viewed it as an emergency which prompted their quick visit). The techs showed up and were very polite. The lead tech quickly confirmed my diagnosis and offered to fix the problem ("I'm here and have all the tools"). He quoted me a price of about $280 and claimed it was about an hour's worth of work. I was concerned that maybe something else could be wrong, but I wasn't certain. I told the tech I would pay $200. He agreed since he was going to be installing a part that I already bought (they would have charged me about $80 for the part that is listed at $77 on Moen's website, so he didn't really give me much of a break). He said that he would warrant the labor for one year but not the part since it wasn't his part. Again, he said it would take about an hour. I predicted it would take about 10 minutes, and it took about 10 minutes. To kill some time, he attempted to explain to me how to reinstall all the other parts (the ones that I took off and already knew how to replace). I went online (should have done this first) and found out that the cost should have been from $129 to $198 for a total leak repair, which included TWO HOURS of labor. What a rip off these guys were. It was my fault for not telling them to leave and offering $200, but they should have known better. Yes, they were nice guys, but to me, this was dishonest--clearly overpriced or the techs were using price quotes based on a higher amount of labor, which they didn't have to do, which makes them crooks.

Service went well. The crew arrived on time and spent the whole day working. They dug down to the main water line and placed a valve with a cover box on my side of the fence. They also worked with a SAWS technician so a portion of the line could be replaced. A big job and they worked very hard. *The workers were polite but it was still pretty clear they found it annoying that I went out periodically out to check on their progress and ask questions. That was the only negative.

The facts: On January 15, 2015 I called Home Depot and said they should send their plumbing folks out to install the water heater as I was unable to. Will Fix It sent "Jason" to do the job. It took him nearly 8 hours to replace the electric water heater. He said a lot of the work was bringing us up to code. Durnig that time he mention that he had recently moved here from Washington state and I asked if he was licensed. He said that he was licensed in Washington but not yet in Texas because he couldn't take the exam yet. I figured that his employer had vetted him and forgot about it. Less than 30 days later I got into an ice cold shower. I headed to the attic to see if the water heater had thrown its local circuit breaker. As soon as I opened the door to the attic, I could smell the electrical burn. I got to the water heater and saw that the power line was burned off. I called Will Fix It and insisted they send a licensed plumber rather than someone who was interested in burning my home down. They sent "Jason" back. He repaired the power line and departed. In September we noticed significant water damage in the Master Bedroom Closet and I went upstairs into the attic and saw the new valve "Jason" had installed was leaking. So I called Will Fix It about 8:10 am and asked that they come out and repair the damage they were doing to my home. They said they would call about 30 minutes before they got here and would arrive between 9 and 11 am. At 10:50 I called their national office as the local folks said the plumber was on another call and would come when it was complete. When the plumber ("Joseph") looked at the problem the first words out of his mouth were "That is not even a code installation". He ordered a helper and parts and reinstalled the water heater. They determined the damage was pretty extensive and turned it over to their insurance company. We have been moved out of the master closet since September and have effectively been camping in our home while trying to get a reasonable and rational solution. We moved back in on 14 December. The repairs to the home cost $6,500 and $1,200 to the contents. For Christmas, their insurance company finally has said (but not in writing) that we have to pay $1,200 of the repair costs because my home was not brand new and therefore they depreciated things. As near as I can tell this company targeted us with intent to do harm because had they send a licensed plumber when I asked for that at the first sign of a problem, this current disaster would not have happened. That was a choice they made in the face of a specific request for a proper solution.

They tell you something and then, my husband understood it would be under warranty for 10 years. He didn't realize that parts and labor wasn't for 10 years, the labor is only for 2 years. We've heard from other people that's just the way they are. Their pricing is higher and they make you feel like you need something when you really don't.

Big problem with Will Fix It. They charged my 89 year old father - over $2500 to install a water heater. The invoice has NO details on the work done nor the charges. They took advantage of an elderly man - he realized they ripped him off - and cancelled the check to them, demanding a reasonable fee. They are now sending people out to his house - harassing him for payment. Very disappointed in this behavior. I trust they will make this right.

Joseph an employee for Will Fit It came to the house on-time and ran a snake thru the drain access in the kitchen. He fixed the problem, explained why the problem happened and suggested steps to keep it from happening again. He charged a very reasonable amount and then left after cleaning up his mess and putt everything back the way he found it. I was very impressed with his knowledge and professionalism.

The blower motor for the air-handler unit inside my house stopped working. I have numerous friends who perform residential AC work but unfortunately they were all unavailable at the time the issue occurred. I contacted Will Fix It because I thought that they would arrive quickly and, at a minimum, could diagnose the issue and tell me what needed to be replaced. The gentleman who performed the service call was named Mario O. Upon arriving, I immediately sensed that he was annoyed/frustrated but I was very polite, offered him a cold water bottle, and told him that I put a fan in the attic for him. Before even going into the attic to look at the unit, he had already asked me if I've thought about replacing the system and implied that my existing system was a money pit on it's last leg of life. Mario goes into the attic, looks at the air handler unit, and tells me I need a new blower motor. He said that he was seeing power to the motor and that the motor wasn't spinning. OK, fair enough, lets see how much it will cost to fix. After a few minutes on his cell outside, he comes back in the house with the typical "I've got good news and I've got bad news" line. Mario quotes me $909 for the blower motor and a $100 pickup fee. I knew the price was way too high so I declined and paid him the $75 for the service call. On the way out, my wife and I thank him for coming to which he replies "Stay warm!" The next day my buddy comes buy, looks at the unit, and tells me that the blower motor is and but that the control board is also bad. He goes to the exact same distributing company that Will Fix It would have used and gets me a new OEM blower motor and control board for $360 out the door. Unit works perfectly and my house is cool a few hours later. So, to Will Fix It's credit, their guy did arrive promptly within about an hour. Unfortunately he did about everything else wrong, from a lack of basic customer service etiquette to an incomplete diagnosis. I'm appalled that the quote for the blower motor was 300% more than what the motor actually cost from the distributor. Will never use again or recommend this company to anyone.

The plumber sent by Will Fix It - Johnny - was nice and dressed in their uniform. He was polite and courteous. My problem is not with the Plumber, but with the company he represents. He quoted from their price book, like at a dealership repair shop and said he could not deviate from the prices listed. I had called Will Fix it for an estimate on an air conditioner extension and happened to mention that I needed a faucet installed. It had been lying on my counter for a week or so and I needed it done. I never realized that you could get scammed by a national company of their size. This was my first (and last dealing with them, I might add) dealing with them and did not look up their reputation before I called them. The plumbing was there to give a bid and I happened to ask if he could install the faucet on this trip thinking that at least an additional service call charge could be avoided. I expected to pay a reasonable amount , up to $200, for the installation. Meanwhile the a/c person arrived and began to give his evaluation of installing a dual ductless system on the sun porch and I became distracted with that. Meanwhile the plumber gave us the charges for the installation (prior to installation) and I was caught off guard and signed for the work to be done. That is my failure and I am embarrassed to have let myself be scammed in this way. Their employees all are on a 20% commission, as stated by one of the employees. Meanwhile their electrician arrived to look over what had to be done to install the ductless system and I had all three persons to deal with. Needless to say, I felt overwhelmed and made a bad decision in agreeing to the faucet installation. The bids I received on the a/c installation for a 2 ton ductless dual system for 350 sq ft sunroom was $15,800 without taxes and electrical costs. The electrical bid was $2,543. These bids I will not accept since a full replacement of the existing a/c system with upgrades and inclusion of the sunroom will not be over $12,000 (including electrical and sales taxes) I am embarrassed to think that I could be taken this way. EVERYONE SHOULD BE LEARY OF DOING BUSINESS WITH THIS COMPANY. Use your local companies to do your work. They had a vested interest in the community and need to maintain good customer feedback by not taking advantage of elderly and overwhelmed widows.

We've used this company before so we called them when it was time to take estimates for this big job. The entire experience from start to finish was awesome. Everyone who worked with us; the office staff, sales manager and the technicians were polite, pleasant and professional. The lead technician Frankie made sure to explain everything we needed to know in detail about our new HVAC system. He is clearly extremely knowledgeable and seemed to really enjoy his work. The other technician Juan was also super nice. The installation was difficult as my home is old and there were some issues to be ironed out but they both did a great job. All in all a very good experience and I would highly recommend this company. EDITED TO ADD: The carpenter came two days later to replace the drywall that had to be removed during the installation. He also was very nice and did a great job.

The work was done in May 2014. The company advertises a savings of 20-30% reduction in utility bill, and their sales pitch is centered around the 20-30% savings. After three months, we noted that our bill had actually increased from the previous year. Will-Fix-it representative Chris Nagy came out to the house and inspected the work and stated that the work had not been done correctly, and he promised to make it right. He also asked us to provide him with utility bills for the past twelve months, which we did. Workers came out again and spent most of the day in the attic. They said they had originally installed exhaust fans that were too small and replaced one of the fans for a larger one. After another month, our utility bill was again higher. We contacted Chris Nagy, who would promise to call back the next day, but consistently did not. When I would finally contact him, he would always say he had been very busy and could not call back. Since the problem was still not resolved, Chris said he had to take the issue to his superior. He asked for twelve month's of utilitiy bills, since he had shredded the original bills I had given him. That seemed strange to shred documents in an ongoing investigation. At this point Chris asked what I would like Will-Fix-It to do. I replied that I thought a refund of $2,500.00 would be appropriate. He said he would have to discuss the matter with his boss. He came back and said they would give us $500.00 and two year service contract at no charge.. I told him I did not want a service contract and said they should give me $750.00. Chris Nagy agreed and said we should get our check in about ten days. That was three weeks ago. I have not been able to contact Chris Nagy and the receptionist who answers the phone says Nagy's boss is out of town until January 2015.

He replaced the wax ring that did not even need replaced, it was only a few months old and I had them keep the old parts and there was definitely no reason to replace that part. I found out later all of this was unnecessary. Had he been an honest skilled plumber he would have easily known what the real problem was and that is my toilet is a Koehler turbo flush and I just needed to get used to the way it works.
Description of Work: I thought I had a problem with the commode where the paper was not flushing down.

Positive experience with technicians and dissatisfied with sales representative, overall service. The sales representative gave us a date for install with a 4 hour window but had not booked our appointment with the main office. At the end of the install time I called the office, to which they told me the initial estimate was booked but not the install. The office sent a crew out within 30 minutes of my phone call and provided a $50 credit on the service. The crew hadn't been given enough paint to complete the job and didn't have the attic access cover. The whole process took too much effort and coordination for me and not enough on their part. I called all week after the installation to see when the attic access cover would be back in stock and delivered; no Followup from the main office... The barrier, insulation and access cover are now installed and *seem to work however the summer time is when I'll know for sure if there's enough radiant barrier installed.
Description of Work: Applied spray radiant barrier to attic roof, sprayed additional foam insulation on attic floor, installed attic access cover.

They did a great job. They came when they said they were going to come, did the work they said they were going to do and charged the price they said they were going to charge. It was $10,000 but it was the price we agreed upon. The guys that did it were very professional. Two guys came in and they each had a separate job. They did a good job and worked very late. They didn't work 10 minutes and take 10 minutes off. They wouldn't come on Sunday but they came on Monday and worked until they got it going which I thought was very nice. They are a good company.
Description of Work: They put in a new air conditioning system. It was a Rheem system.
