They are professional. All the way around they are top notch. My wife called them and within an hour and a half they were out here. They replaced our water softener with a top of the line water softener, flushed down all our lines and even replaced the pressure valve on the water line from the meter. They worked all day. They are very professional. They were here until five o'clock. They have done an excellent job.

We hired them to do a maintenance contract for our heating and air conditioning. We fired them. They were ripping us off. They told us we had a system that was going bad. They gave us an estimate for replacing our system. We got a 2nd estimate. When the different guy came up to get a 2nd installation, they found that someone had stuffed foam installation inside to make it break. There is no way to prove they did it as we did not see them do it. They continued to withdraw payment from our account and we had to telephone them twice. I don't consider them very reputable. I would not use them again in the future. This happened several years ago.
Description of Work: I used them several years ago.

Will Fix It used to be among the best plumbing companies in San Antonio -- very proactive and concerned about fixing the problem so that it stayed fixed, even offering several solutions and explaining the cost/benefit of each alternative. Unfortunately, a couple of years ago there was an ownership change and the attitude of the entire company, from the plumbers to the receptionist, has changed to "just a job" and not all that good a job at that. I have used this company's services for the last time.

Plumber came and inspected the problem and superviser came and went over our options. Both gave us their cell phone numbers and were very professional. We had a some rocks left over after the job and asked that they be removed and it was done the next day. The only problem was the city inspector took a while to get his job done.
Description of Work: We had to have a tunnel dug under our house to fix some plumbing problems. We had pipes videoed and unfortunately the problem was right smack in the middle of our house. We have also had sprinkler system repaired and that went well too.

Salesmen were pleasant and over-sold the benefits quite a bit from what I've experienced. The real workers smoked cigarettes and left butts in my driveway (which they later cleaned up when asked), but I found "materials" in my yard for some time afterward. Work seemed to go fine. Then, the day after I went into my spare bedroom and found the fan and light didn't work anymore ...and they did the day before. The door bell also quite working and the house alarm went off unexpectedly several times. They came out and insisted these issues were not caused by their installation, but when they actually looked, they had cut a wire to the fan/light and to the alarm. They couldn't figure out the doorbell, so it still doesn't work. I thought all was fixed besides the bell and waited to feel the results in the temperature and the electric bill. Didn't feel a significant difference except in one room upstairs and the bill (when weighted by the kilowatts used) was maybe $20-$30 less. I only looked the first couple of months and just thought I'd been taken once again. Last month I had a leak in my roof and when the adjuster and the roof repair company came to check it out, they could see that the rafters were wet in some areas so the radiant barrier didn't 'stick'. And when they estimated replacing the roof they said that the ridge vent (which EAS installed) was working against the turbines on my roof...so they recommended removing the turbines and putting the ridge vent on the other major roof line as well. As I've now researched it, sure enough, they shouldn't have combined the turbines and the ridge vent...because then neither work!!! So maybe now that I only have ridge vents, maybe I'll see some difference. I need to call EAS and tell them about the wet wood where the barrier didn't stick, but since I've already had the roof work, which called for replacing some of the decking, I'm afraid they won't believe me anyway. Overall, they tried to do what they said they would do...they just didn't advise me well on the turbines/ridge vent and they oversold the benefits. In addition, apparently the roof needed repair back then and they could have told me that, but didn't. I have a tall 2 story, so I can't tell from on the ground. I believe they just wanted a sale and weren't interested in my best interests as a customer. From my research on price, they seemed pretty good in comparison. They sold me on spray vs foil and i'm not sure that was good counsel either. They were nice while here....
Description of Work: Sprayed radiant barrier under roof decking and on rafters, sprayed insulation to bring it to R60 over all but garage, installed a ridge vent on the main roof line

EAS has tried to contact (Member name removed) and has left her a message offering to touch up any areas where roof decking along with the Radiant Barrier has been replaced. We usually do touchups at no charge for all our home owners if the customer will allow us to visit on a back-haul basis (when a truck is in the immediate area, after completing a scheduled install for a new client). We regret that we cut a wire. Wiring in attics is often exposed and vulnerable to damage. Our technicians have worked in more attics in San Antonio than any other attic efficiency company and we take great care to avoid such mishaps but if they do occur we have written “Property Protection Guarantee” which states “Any damage to your home or property resulting from the attic evaluation or installation conducted by Efficient Attic Systems will be repaired or replaced in a timely manner”. Touching up replaced decking in an attic after the install is completed is not considered a repair, however we do offer this service within reasonable standards as a courtesy to our customers. If (Member name removed) will contact us we will be happy to assist her. Efficient Attic Systems Management

The plumber initially didn't even want to inspect the problem as he claimed he did not smell anything. It nearly nocked us and prior plumbers over when entering the room. He finally pulled the toilet to inspect the wax ring. We explained that we had already had the wax ring replaced by a previous plumber to no avail. He then replaced the toilet. He reported to AHS that he was unable to find anything even after I insisted that more diagnostics were needed. I asked him if a smoke test could be performed to find the source of the leak and he refused stating that AHS would not cover one. I called AHS and they told me he never even submitted it to see if it would be covered. After all of this he hands me the invoice and asks me to sign. I asked why he hadn't called in for the approval to do the smoke test and he said he would call it in later and would come back another day. I insisted he call it in immediately before leaving my house. I am unsure of the dialogue that occurred but I then received a call from AHS stating they were sending another plumber out for a second opinion and he left. His overall attitude and demeanor seemed to indicate he was unwilling to do any work and did not want to be there. I understand that warranty work isn't the most glamorous and probably is frustrating but don't do the work if you aren't willing to do the work.
Description of Work: Will Fix It came out to inspect a sewage smell we had in our master bath. They were performing the work on behalf of AHS so we only had to pay our AHS visit fee. He pulled the toilet, visually inspected and replaced it.

I don't care for them. We had tile work done in our bathroom and Will Fix It is the last one that came out. The toilet was leaking and they pulled it up and it was going to be like $150.00. By the time they got out of here, it was $550.00. When we had it pulled up to do recent tile work, there's a leak. They didn't even fix it right. It wasn't that much that we could see it, but when you pull the tile up, it's there on the rotted wood. What I don't like about them was that they gave us one price, then they had the toilet all pulled up, and then all of a sudden, to put something else in, they added another $350.00. That sounded crooked to me. We had since had the whole bathroom tiled for $550.00 and everything fixed and the toilet pulled up. There must have been something else that was cracked and that part was maybe $50.00. But the labor was another $300.00 and I'm sure they weren't here more than two hours. It ticked us off, the way that they treated us. I don't know if they're still that way, but I noticed they're on your list.

This was an outstanding experience from start to finish. We called after receiving information from our home warranty company. The office staff was professional, prompt, and courteous. The technician, Emilio, arrived within the promised time frame. Emilio promptly addressed the issues while answering my husband and my questions. He explained the causes of the issue and offered potential remedies. My husband and I found Emilio to be extremely professional, knowledgable, and very helpful. It was an easy, honest, and professional interaction and we will certainly use this company again.

This company is horrible. Stay away from them. Their salesman shows up on my doorstep wreaking of cigarette smoke and does his inspection. He then tells me that my 2002 custom built home is in poor condition insulation wise, and then he proceeds to give me the hard sell routine, which I bought hook, line, and sinker. The company basically defrauded me on the square footage, did not install all of the radiant barrier it sold me; it also damaged my new floors, left trash and dirt all over my home (inside and out), as well as leaving trash on my neighbors' lawns. I was promised "white glove" service, which would last no longer than 2.5 hours. In fact, the installation took roughly 6 hours and, as mentioned previously, could hardly be described as "white glove." At least twice, I have called the EAS salesman, Tim Casey, and being the coward he is, he will not return my phone call. Service after the sale is not something this company offers after it has your money firmly in hand. To top it all off, their product does not work as well as they claim. Take my advice, leave skid marks getting away from this company and do not yield to their high pressure sales tactics.

We regret that this client was unhappy with our service. However it should be mentioned that after taking his call our Energy Efficiency Consultant (EC) immediately contacted our Service Manager to address any concerns. Our Service Manager contacted the customer promptly and tried to arrange an inspection. The customer refused to see us and immediately demanded his money back (which he received, though he fails to mention this fact in his review). We tried to work with this customer to the best of our ability but were not allowed to inspect the job. We have a dedicated Service Manager to handle all service issues and our EC's do not have the ability to initiate corrections to installed services. Mr. Casey did try to contact this customer several times but was only able to leave voice messages. We advised the customer that when determining his square footage he (the customer) did not take into account the roof pitch which adds to the amount of square footage required cover his attic deck with Radiant Barrier as was noted on the proposal. As to the condition of the home, a 3rd party representative was finally allowed to inspect the home, on the stipulation that our Service Manager not be present and the 3rd Party representative saw no damage. As to the amount of time it took to complete the job, our EC's can make an estimate but they are not able to take into account every obstacle. Obviously we want to complete the job within the average time frame but we will do the job right... at our expense. According to the customer the job took six hours but our truck was back at our dock within 4 hours, including drive time. While we do not dispute the fact that this customer was unhappy with our work we do find it disconcerting that: a. The customer immediately demanded his money back only after the job was completed. b. Our Service Manager was not allowed to do a prompt inspection of the installation and address any of his concerns, which is the cornerstone of "Service after the Sale". How can we fix what we can't see? c. The customer said the job took much longer than our records reflect. d. Above all no mention was made that we refunded this customer 100% of his investment (as per our 100% Satisfaction Guarantee) and he paid nothing for his Radiant Barrier and Insulation. In all fairness to EAS we strive for "and guarantee" 100% satisfaction to all our customers and in the case of this member he was refunded his money despite many red flags on our side. We therefore suggest that his review of our company to be taken in full context of our commitment to him and all our customers. Efficient Attic Systems Management

The products that they offer are good products. I usually feel like I am being given straight truth about what it is I am asking for. Usually they show me the parts that are broken down and they do a check up on all of the parts so if a part is faulty, I can be prepared for the future. They keep me a breath with what's going on.
Description of Work: We've had a long standing relationship with them because our house is about 19 years old. HORRIBLE!!!! (See above.)
Description of Work: I am planning to install attic insulation and was calling different Angie's List "A" rated providers. Efficient Attic Systems was just RUDE. I could not get any idea of their costs without have their sales rep visit my house. I do not want a radiant barrier, just blown insulation. I do not have a lot of free time and having to wait for their sales rep to visit is a huge inconvenience. I explained this to both their receptionist and the manager. I could not even get a cost per square foot of blown insulation! (Not a job estimate, just a per square foot cost.) I will NEVER recommend this company - they were rude and intransigent in their sales "strategy"!!

We regret that we were unable to meet this person’s expectations; however EAS has a strict policy not to give estimates over the phone. We do this to protect the home owner and our employees. By there very nature attics are very difficult places to work and there are many factors which must be taken into consideration before giving an estimate on any of our services. For instance: 1. How do we access the attic? Are all parts of the attic accessible? 2. Is there sufficient room to work? 3. Are there any obstructions? 4. Does the home need insulation and if so how much? 5. Is the attic stable? 6. What is the best way to insulate the attic thus assuring customer satisfaction? 7. Does the attic qualify for Utility Company rebates or tax incentives? These are just a few of the many questions which must be answered in order to do a professional job and keep our customers happy. Experience has taught us that we can not do this over the phone and that is the primary reason all our attic evaluations are done at “no cost” to the home owner. We would advise any home owner considering having work of any kind done to their home to have a thorough evaluation performed prior to contracting the job. Efficient Attic Systems Management
