They are very customer-oriented and they do quality work to make sure that the customer is happy.

It went great. The came out in about 4 hours after calling them (this is in 100 degree weather in August). Daniel spent time with my a/c well after it was fixed to check the freon. He also gave me several tips on how to maintain my unit.

The total experience was excellent. Early in the process, the provider identified a significant miscommunication issue, and later determined that the work required was much more than considered in the proposal. They took full responsibility. The work was completed and we were amazed at how they absorbed the financial impact of the problems completely. I have never been so impressed with the character of a service provider. They conducted themselves in a professional, respectful manner at a high level rarely experienced. We will be recommending them to our friends, and turning to them for our HVAC needs in the future.

They did find a part that wasn't good and replaced it for me, so I appreciated that. I'm going to call them again for this year. They were just very nice and they came when they said they were going to and they explained a lot of things to me - like I haven't been a home owner before so I didn't know lots of stuff but he was very nice to me about explaining the air conditioner and where the filter went and putting the stuff in it and all that good stuff like vinegar so that where the water is supposed to go out doesn't get clogged because we have highly mineralized water.

I've been using them for years. I just thought that they were telling the truth about everything. I took a long time to decide who to use. I'm very happy with them and I have no reason to discontinue their services. I think they gave a fair price. It seems like it was up to par with everybody else.

Patrick Wilks from Wilks AC & H was referred to us by our insulation company (see my review on Geo-Insulation) to inspect our ducts in January of 2014. In the fall of 2011, other AC companies had inspected our unit and ducts when we complained of being too hot in the summer finding that the unit itself was fine, but the ducts were undersized. By 2014, the ducts were falling off. Enter one Patrick Wilks. Patrick conducted a complete air flow evaluation finding the ducts were undersized and so was the air return, but the HVAC unit was just fine (proper size for the house, good condition). He recommended having all the ductwork redone (1949 sq ft house, 3 attics and about a dozen ceiling vents in a 4 bdrm, 3 bath, 1-story house). Not cheap, but repeated what others had said, but in better detail of what was wrong and what he would do to fix it. I did some research on the cost of ductwork in energy savings and found reports online from National Laboratories (NREL, LBNL, etc) that leaks in the ducts at the plenum intake, output and vents can lose as much as 50% or more of the conditioned air...we had all of the above, plus improper sized ducts & vents, it just seemed the cost was unavoidable if I wanted to reduce our giant energy bills and make our house feel comfortable. An ice storm prevented the original work date, but Patrick quickly rescheduled for the following weekend. A team of three professional Wilks employees performed the installation, taking a solid day to complete the job. The team kept the job site clean, even hauling away the previous home owner's attic garbage (old ducts piled in a corner). The first time the heat turned on after the new ducts were installed, the ceiling fans by the vents were slowly turning from the pressure! Patrick worked with our insulation company (Geo-Insulation) to coordinate the complete attic energy makeover. It was expensive, but the energy makeover has already made our house comfortable, and hopefully reduce the profits CPS Energy makes off of us! Patrick filled out the CPS Energy rebate paperwork (as did Geo-Insulation) to claim our energy rebates from the city. I recommend Wilks Air Conditioning and Heating to anyone needing new ductwork and/or HVAC work. I gave a C (fair) rating on price because it seemed to be the going rate for ductwork. This wasn't a cheapest bidder selection, but I do not regret our decision.

We have called on Wilk's numerous times over the last 20 years. They have always provided quick quality repairs and/or advice. All of the crew are knowledgeable friendly and efficient. We recommend them to anyone for any appliance repairs. They do it all and if they can not recommend someone else who has their high standards. Highly recommend them. AAA

We called them for our home because they had upgraded the air conditioning at our church. At that time I worked with Randy Wilks and was very impressed with him. He was very patient and explained everything. They came very professionally dressed and did excellent work. Everything they did was superior. It was very well done and at a reasonable price. Today I worked with a young man named Thomas. He identified himself at the door and came in a truck that was marked clearly. He worked on our outside unit and went up in the attic and cleaned everything. There was a line that had come loose and he reconnected it and glued it to make sure it wouldn't come out again. He was very polite and checked with me before he did everything.

6 different companies came to give me quotes on replacing my entire air conditioning system after the company sent by my home warranty company said it couldn't be fixed. When Patrick from Wilks came, immediately I noticed many differences that set him apart from the other 6. Patrick was neatly dressed in a company uniform with his shirt tucked in, he asked me for the history of the problems i was having and took his time in processing the information to problem solve and he ended up fixing the unit. He was extremely knowledgeable and methodical in everything he did. i could tell that this young man was experienced. The other technicians from the other companies were dressed dirty t-shirts, baggy jeans/shorts and were very careless in the things they did. I am sold on Wilks and will use them from now on.

Really like this company and their work. May be a little late but within the time period they quote. We have no problem using this group and recommend them.

This was my second time using Wilks for air conditioner repair. They are prompt, knowledgeable, professional, and reasonably priced. I will continue to call them to service my HVAC in the future. The other time they came out they fixed a problem for $400 that 2 other companies wanted to charge $3000 for. Great folks = they know what they're doing!

A good friend recommended this company as they had been using them for years. About two years ago, our washing machine stopped running and repairman was dispatched. He instantly identified the problem and replaced a bad switch. Last spring, in the middle of a large home remodeling project, one of the central air conditioners went out. Wilks was very professional in their response, bidding and installation of a new unit and furnace. They took great care to explain the bid and how the work was to be performed. They did some extras in the installation that many company's never thought to address. Great job. The remodeling included all new appliances including a new washer and dryer. The contractor's plumbing company did significant work which we were pleased with but WOULD NOT install the dryer. The new unit had to be taken apart and the exhaust vent had to be modified to vent out the side rather than the back. I called Wilks, they assessed the situation and said no problem and installed it the way we needed in their normal professional manner. Not the cheapest, but not the most expensive. I will gladly pay the price to receive knowledgeable, professional service like they provide.

On a Saturday, I contacted Wilks AC & Heating after reading reviews on Angie's List and Wilks' user-friendly website. I had initially contacted the company seeking an estimate on a new HVAC system after I learned that the furnace circuit board was not working. When Patrick arrived, I explained to him that although my existing HVAC was old, my preference was to repair the existing system because I am contemplating remodeling the house and wanted to wait to update the system. Patrick then took the time to test the unit and confirm that the problem was in fact the circuit board. He was able to complete the repair work on the spot for nearly half the price I was quoted by a competitor. I was immediately impressed by Patrick's professionalism, honesty, and willingness to help me find a solution. When I need a new system or repair, Wilks AC & Heating will be the first company I call!

I found Wilks Plumbing on Angie's List. I have used Wilks Inc. for two projects and they have done a good job. I had a major leak between the water main from the street to the house that they repaired. They sent two staff members out to complete the job and were very friendly and honest. I am happy with the quality of work performed. They worked very fast and the prices were reasonable. They also gave me a 10% discount for finding them on Angie's List.

They are always outstanding. They are premier. If you have any appliance problems, they are the ones to call. They are prompt and great. They didn't charge me anything because it was such a small problem.

They were very professional. They came out when they said they would. I was happy with them. Someone else had referred them to me and I was happy with them.

The air conditioner went out on a Sunday. My husband left a message and they came out the next day on Monday afternoon. The cleaned the unit and replaced the capacitor. We were pleased with their services.

My air conditioning was not working. Wilks sent out a tech within 2 hours of my call. He climbined into the attic, diagnosed the problem, removed the faulty part, and explained what had happened. It was after normal business hours and the part could not be ordered till the next day, it was, and shipped overnight delivery. Upon receipt of the replacement part, the tech arrived and the a/c was operational. Without asking, he ran a complete check of the a/c system and reported that he found nothing else that required attention.

They are very honest people and their prices are fair. I know Mr. Patrick Wilks. I have used them previously as well.

They were recommended by our plumber. I was pleased with his service. He was very pleasant. He was available. He seemed to know what he was doing and that was a small problem. He answered my question. He didn’t mind me talking and asking questions. He came out real fast. I think his price was reasonable because those kinds of services usually start off at a higher price. It is worth it to me considering all their years of experience, tools, etc.

Wilkes representative was very professional and very thorough. They were our second choice of five companies and the only reason we did not go with their firm was pricing. They were approximately 25% higher for comparable equipment than the firm we selected. We also asked for estimates on complete ductwork replacement. Wilkes was more in line with the market on this. They will definitley be a contender when we have this work done.

I have used them for years and have been really happy with them. I have been using them since mid 90's and they have always been very responsive and call before they come.

My central heating/air system broke down. Wilks Inc sent their technician to the assess the cause the next day after I called them. The technician, John, said the system had to be replaced and I was given a choice to just replace the outside unit (condenser) or both outside and inside. I chose to replace everything (old unit was approx 25 years old) plus two air ducts that were sending minimal air or heat into two rooms in my house. My system broke down on a Monday, they came out the next day and scheduled the work to be done Friday of the same week. I was loaned a window unit until they could come back to do the work. This window unit really helped me through until the system was installed. I bought a Rheem 3 ton, 16 SEER, system and with the replacement of the two ducts, my house is now nice and cool. I also got a new programmable, digital temperature controller which is really easy to program. The two installers, Keith and John, did an excellent job. They arrived on time. They are very professional, courteous and know how to do an excellent job. They explained everything to me about the new system. They answered all my questions to my satisfaction so I could make an informed decision as to what system would work best for my situation. They even replaced my old trim in the closet where the inside unit is and painted the trim and inside walls. The work area was left clean as well. I would recommend Wilks Inc to my friends and to anyone in San Antonio. Their prices are fair, their technicians/installers are professional, courteous and knowledgeable and they do an EXCELLENT JOB!!!!!!!
