Their service is for military personnel only, or those referred by military personnel. They provide health, life, auto, and financial savings services. They are very pleasant and very willing to talk to you. They are there to serve you, and their rates are very competitive. They are awesome!

I was financing through a bank and they gave me a much better rate.

I called USAA while still waiting for the tow truck. My claim was immediately recorded. Assistance was offered immediately (Note - I have been a USAA member for over 40 years). I am completely satisfied with the way USAA has handled my claim as well as the way in which my car was repaired and the warranty for the repair

I have been using them for years and they have always taken care of me. They have recommended good service providers to me when needed and have made the process very simple and easy. They are always the first people we call when we have a problem and they always respond quickly.

I have had USAA car insurance, renter's insurance, and banking products for about 15 years. They have consistently offered great service and great prices. I recommend them to anyone that has a military family member.

They are the most incredible company I have ever dealt with in my 52 years. You do have to have a connection to a military service person to have coverage, but they are a great company and service provider. They originally were insurance, and they are now a bank and investment company. They do financial planning. They offer a whole range of financial and insurance services.

We recently bought a home in San Antonio, in order for us to close we needed to purchase homeowners insurance. At our old home in Houston we had State Farm and we were not too impressed. We researched homeowners insurance on Angie's list and USAA was highly rated. My father was in the service and we were able to get USAA for him and for us. Our quotes from other companies ranged from $2,000.00 to 1,500.00, however we were able to get insurance with USAA for around $750!! Pretty amazing, I'm sold on their services and I'm also going to use them for my car financing. It's pretty amazing what USAA provides for our vets and their families.

I have been in two accidents. They do a great job and pay right away and all of my hospital bills and then go after the at fault party. They do not cause you any extra headaches, I would highly recommend them.

I have tried to work with USAA since 11/23/2010 when my car was hit in the Target parking lot. The damage was not that great, the car is ten years old and in good condition. The shop I took it to gave an estimate of $2800.00 USAA sent out a representative to get their own estimate and he wrote up an estimate for the same work at $580.00. Then they sent me a check for $460.00 which is $120.00 less than the estimate they created. They offered to pay for a rental car but only on the days that the car was being worked on, not on days if the shop was waiting for parts. So if they took my car apart and found they needed more parts and it took two days to get those parts I would have to pay for the rental car during that time. Every time I call USAA I get a different person and they follow a procedure or a script, they do not listen or respond to questions until they have completed their predetermined actions. They do not answer questions and they threaten to hang up on me if I insist on an answer without being forced to wait for them to go through whatever process they feel is more important than my questions. I have never, in 55 years, had such a poor experience with a service company. They might treat the people who are insured by them better but they will never get any of my money to be able to confirm that. Do not do business with this company.

They are great, and they are cheaper than other carriers. They are very nice. They are also responsive. They are prompt on claims. I've never had issues with claim payments. They are good.

My insured vehicle was rear-ended by an inattentive and uninsured motorist. USAA handled the claim in their usual prompt and efficient manner. From start to finish, the whole claim (including repairs to my car) was resolved and finalized in less than 2 weeks. Amount spent was the deductible from my insurance policy. Covered amount was approx. $1,100. USAA initiated contacts with both the body shop I used and the rental car company for a car to use during repairs. They also handled payments directly to both. If there can be upsides to an accident, USAA's performance was one of them. Of course, I've been a customer of theirs for almost 40 years. I always expect superior performance and they always deliver.

They are a pretty good insurance company, but they don't like to pay out. They should have paid someof the costs of some structure work that I had due to faulty construction that the realty company that sold me the house didn't tell me about. I've had engineers come and say that it couldn't happen over night and it was a long process. They said they would have to look for the contractor, but he had fled because he has so many law suits against him.

They are very good, they have the best price, and they are professional.

Have had outstanding service from USAA for my auto/homeowners insurance and banking. There is none better in my opinion. To be eligible to become a customer, you'll have to be a military member or retired military. Recently membership has been expanded to children of existing members.

My experience couldn't be better with this company. They are easily accessible and take care of claims quickly. I've never had one problem in 25 years and the offer competitive rates.

I have carried USAA auto and homeowners insurance for more than 25 years. My infrequent claims were handled efficiently and fairly so I was surprised and disappointed with a recent claim for storm damage on my home. Apparently things have changed. During my years of membership USAA has grown tremendously in both memberships and products offered. Perhaps they have reached a point where they can no longer manage the high level of service I had grown to expect. Or, more ominously, they may be attempting to indiscriminately recover the losses incurred during the Gulf Coast storms of the last several years. USAA is probably no worse than other insurers that experienced similar losses. However, based on my recent experience, I no longer have the same level of confidence and satisfaction I held for all these years.

The USAA representative acted like a traffic judge, stating "I find you at fault" and we will have to increase your premiums. He was unsympathetic and cold, almost robotic in his customer service. The estimation date will occur on Thursday almost five days after the accident. I was not even offered my rental car even though my truck is no longer drivable.

When I had my auto accident USAA was very prompt in all of their dealings with me. The agent on the phone was very polite and handled everything with ease. My claim was handled within a day.
