USAA Bank

One somewhat complicated accident claim was settled promptly with no difficulty. We recently added them for home insurance (previously unavailable to us in NY), and soon after when we moved again to another state, they were very helpful with related policy changes.

Went well. USAA though leans more toward providing lower rates to retired military officers or disabled. Not my situation.

They have always performed up to and beyond expectations at rates significantly better than competitors I have looked into.

They are phenomenal. The insurance and the banking are absolutely top shelf. I've been with them for 27 years. I love them so much because they're just awesome. They have great customer service. You have to deal with them on the phone because they don't have a branch in every town so as a result of that, they understand that and their policies are very accommodating to the fact that when you're either online or on the phone, their customer representatives are the best in the business. They're super good and I just really appreciate their promptness and courteousness

They are the best, most honest company I have ever dealt with. They are generally THE most competitive on auto and home insurance - and NEVER a problem with a claim - they are fabulous. I've had 4 or 5 auto claims over my life and 3 or 4 homeowners claims. I have called other insurance companies that say they can beat your current insurance rates and when I say I'm with USAA, they admit they can't beat them. Also - the nice thing with USAA is that you don't get cut rate insurance - it really is top notch with the most competitive rates I've ever seen. As far as banking - well I really love the banking and ease of doing business with them electronically. Smart phone deposits. I can go to any ATM and they refund the ATM fees. And if it is a large deposit then I got to UPS. They're rates on loans are very competitive. Mortgage rates and CD rates are not always THE best rates but are very competitive and worth the minute difference in fees in order to get the great customer service that they provide. They also offer great perks like 1000 off closing fees if you deal with their agents, and auto buying service. In my opinion, I end up saving more with USAA even if their mortgage rates are maybe a quarter or eighth of a point off the best rate out there. I have used their health insurance in the past and not pleased with it. It is outsourced and not cheap/shoddy - trying to nickle and dime you on everything. Very un-USAA like. They got rid of it due to those issues, but it looks like it is back now.

Not sure if USAA gave us a low price on the premium the first year and then increased it once we were on board.

I have been with them for 47 years. They are absolutely the best. In my opinion they are the least expensive & most efficient operation I have seen.

I have been with those guys for about 25 years. It has been a great company to work with. They have been responsive, understanding and their rates have always been competitive. I have never had an issue or accident just pushed back. They understand the business that they are in. I have always appreciated that with them. I will continue to use them.

As usual, the service provided by USAA was prompt, professional and courteous. The estimator was able to make an appointment within a day of our filing the claim. She had provided us with assistance on a previous auto claim and remembered us. She was thorough in her investigation and advised us on our next step, which was to contact a leak detection company to confirm that the water damage was due to the rain and wind storm, not due to an interior pipe leak. The claim check was quickly deposited in our account; the service providers recommended did a great job. We are extremely happy with USAA!

Damages to car - fine. Damages to my wife - they use Auto Injury Solutions to handle medical claims. Those bozos cheated my family out of $1500 worth of payments for medically necessary (our and our dr.s opinion) physical therapy treatments. If you live in a state (like Colorado) that requires the victim's auto policy to cover medical payments, find an insurer that does not use Auto Injury Solutions. Their prime objective is to save the insurance company money. If you don't live in such a state, USAA is a good choice.

USAA handled the claim with the other insurance company seamlessly. My car was rear ended and they immediately got my car into a garage and it was fixed in less than three days. They arranged a rental car and handled the claim with the other company.

When we lost everything the people at USAA helped us get up and running again as quickly as possible. They were polite and understanding. Every contact we have had with them has been positive for 37 years. They must surely be one of the best run companies in the United States.

Excellent. USAA offers a broad range of financial services. We have a great deal of confidence in their services. USAA's customer service is out standing. We have always been treated with total respect. Associates are kind and patient, even with complex matters. On more than one occasion we have had a credit card lost or stolen and the replacement & recovery process went very smoothly. USAA will actually call us if suspicious activity shows up on our credit card account. One time this was helpful in stopping the use of a stolen number. Another time we happened to be using our cards for significant purchases in different states and we received a call to verify this activity was authorized. We also got an apology for any inconvenience the call may have created. We have a lot of confidence in USAA and have not been disappointed with any of the services we have used through this company.

Everything's been exceptional about them. They provide auto insurance, bank insurance, auto loans, home mortgages, and other state services.

You can't beat the prices and the online banking is easy, reliable, and secure. I have also done personal loans with USAA for home repairs. The rates were low and easy pay terms.

Had USAA insurance on our home and automobiles for over 8 years. For the last two years, rates kept going up. We complained each time as during those periods, we had not filed for any damages. We never filed a claim for the house and only filed for two auto accidents that our children had with their cars (no fault accidents as their cars were parked both times). In those last two years, the children grew up and got their own policies so they weren't on ours. To make matters worse, I injured myself and was out of work for 6 months (unable to drive a car, much less leave the house). USAA did not remove my car from coverage as I asked but reduced the auto's use (it sat in our garage for 6 months - no lien or any reason for coverage as even the registration expired). After several calls, months apart, they finally removed coverage but stressed that they would have report this to the local and state police (as they threatened to do this during each request to remove insurance on my car). I understand the requirement to insure a car that is being driven, its the law. USAA refused to help us in a time of need. We finally shopped around and got the same coverage at much lower rates and got USAA to refund our funds that they had been building up (nearly $5000 of funds that they were holding). Our home insurance with USAA was $1300 a year and we got the same coverage for $750 with another national insurer. nearly the same savings with the auto policy.

We have been USAA members for over 30 years. Over those years, their insurance and banking has been, and is, exceptional. However, while trying to get a loan for our recently purchased home, from the point of our loan processing forward was a nightmare! First, communication with our loan processor was horrid! She did not contact us by phone when she was assigned our loan. Her email was caught in our spam folder for a few days, the extension for her on the paperwork we got was incorrect, and I had to call her after not hearing from her when we were told she would contact us. USAA fails in this area of business mostly because of the incompetence of our loan processor and supervisor. We could have corrected a situation that would have kept us qualified for a loan. I understand the conservative nature of the company, but, their decision defied all logic. I will not be using USAA for any home mortgage/equity needs in the future! The originators were extremely professional, BTW!

We have been proud members of USAA for over 20 years. We would not think of using any other company. If you are looking for margin basement prices however, you may want to look elsewhere . But if you are willing to pay a fair competitive price, and get excellent and reliable service, then USAA is the place to go.

Great. Since it was Sunday we were told to call back on Monday when that particular office was available. Called Monday and they answered our questions promptly.

Very professional conversation. Very satisfied with results. Great Company. I would recommend this company to anyone seeking insurance, banking or investments.

Ongoing insurance & banking services are a very good value and feel less mercenary than other companies.

After Geico raised my rates after my 1st at fault accident in 20 years of driving I searched for cheaper insurance through Allstate, State Farm, Nationwide and some others. Unfortunately I could not get what i considered a reasonable rate. My wife talked me into looking at USAA which i did and was I ever shocked. Their quote was half the cost of what these others were quoting me. I have been with them for over a year now and love them.
