USAA made it difficult to resolve the issue efficiently as far as customer service is concerned.

USAA is no better than any other insurance company. I pay substantially higher rates under the assumption i would be taken cafe of in the event of a claim with my home. I am 9 months in and have had to hire a public adjuster and consult with an attorney in order to make anything happen with my claim. Now i am looking to finally get everything squared away. I was dealt with in bad faith. I was stonewalled, and made to wait for months with the hope i would just let my claim go. The adjusters prejudged my claim, were disingenuous and purposely made things difficult. Go with the cheapest rate... don't buy into the "USAA cares" hype. If you have a claim worth more than 10k look at hiring a public adjuster because that is the only person who will be looking out for your own interest. I have even had to get my state attorney general, department of insurance involved. It has been a nightmare.

Horrible THE single worst customer service experience EVER. Damage occurred 6/1/15 the claim is still not settled. I have made numerous phone calls and sent e - mails , not even once has anyone from usaa responded or answered me. The assigned agent has no idea about the specifics or details of my claim and could care less. Have spoken to several different agents act USAA every time a different answer and story. no one knows or cares. Or is accountable.

This company is only for Military people. You should specify that under your business description. Spent an hour going through different department connections before I found that I am not qualified. Waste of my time.

Everything was easy and simple. Once approved I was able to go to the dealer and make my deal then use their mobile app to get the check for the dealer. I did have one problem but customer service took care of it in no time.

My Dad was in the military and I was covered by USAA throughout my childhood. Once I became an adult, I shopped around for other insurance companies. I already knew no one could beat the customer service of USAA...I was in 5 car wrecks through my teens and early 20s, and every single time I called USAA crying, they were so empathetic and helpful. They pay out claims immediately and reimbursed me for many extras, like towing between 3 facilities after a car wreck. The automobile insurance through USAA is actually cheaper than all competitors except Safe Auto and State Farm--both of those companies are known for poor customer service and fighting to pay out claims to their clients. I rented throughout my adulthood until last year--their prices for rental coverage were always cheaper than competitors. When I purchased a home last year, of course I wanted to use USAA--but I still shopped around. Unfortunately, USAA is one of the most expensive homeowner's insurance coverage from my research. State Farm was $600, American Family was $800, and USAA is $1000. I researched further, into how quickly all home insurance companies paid out claims, how they treat clients in need, and how often they go above and beyond the insurance agreement. USAA is bar none the top in customer service, which is no surpriseto me. During environmental disasters, like Katrina or Hurricane Sandy, the people affected were treated terribly by all other insurance companies. State Farm still refuses to pay out claims to most of their clients from Hurricane Sandy. The only insurance provider that immediately put families into hotels, paid out claims, and worked with their clients was USAA. I will never use another insurance company, USAA has proved time and again to me how valuable of a company they are. You do have to be tied to the military, at least within 3 generations of a military member by direct descendance, that is the only problem.

USAA is fantastic. they are amazing, always there when you need them and honest..

I have been with USAA Bank for 3 or 4 years. I had to file a claim and was able to do it online. When the agents came out they were very friendly and courteous.

I would recommend them because I know our rate is very good. Their service is very good. I wouldn't change anything about it.

They have pretty standard stuff. My experience with them was pretty smooth. They are wonderful.

I pay $150 a month for 2 vehicles for insurance. They are very easy to work with and they are geared towards helping veterinarians out a well.

They are very good with the military.

I did mortgage my house with them a few times. I've had probably seven or eight houses because I'm part of military and I moved a lot. I use them everyday. I had a couple of acts of god last year. My house got struck by lightning. I probably put in two or three claims last year. Lightning hit my house and blew up my electrical panel and my air conditioner. They pretty much did everything over the phone. I got money to take care of everything within pretty much a day.

USAA does not perform business banking. I will open a business account at some other facility. I have had a USAA checking account for the past several years. They are absolutely wonderful.

They were friendly and helpful and took care of my problem.

I notice that USAA has tons of 'A' ratings on this site from members who have been with them a long time. My bet is that these members never had complicated claims with USAA or never filed claims at all. I have been with USAA for 12 years. I also would have rated them superbly, A++++ ratings down the board before actually dealing with them regarding a claim. I was naïve - I put them up on a pedestal, believing all the rhetoric they spout in their commercials and advertisements. They'll protect you. They'll be there for you and your family. Their coverage is better. You're a member of an exclusive, better "club". We're not "insurance", we're "family". The reality is, your coverage is only as good as your policy. Which is the same as it is with any other insurance company. What I did not realize is that USAA charges a hefty premium for the privilege of membership. My sister recently bought a house and she had USAA homeowners insurance with her old home (like I did), but she was shopping around for insurance on her new home. She told me every other insurance company quoted her $100 LESS PER MONTH or more than what USAA quoted her for the same coverage. She ended up switching for the cheaper premium. I too shopped around and had the other insurance companies give the me EXACT same coverage as I had with USAA (line for line) - and the premiums were $500+ a year cheaper with other companies. I have been overpaying for coverage. I think people are so shocked when USAA denies a claim because USAA tries to make you feel special - like you are a member of their exclusive club and they are better than everyone else. Not so. Sure, they'll pay your claims for the obvious - car accidents, sudden water loss, home burglaries - and they'll be SUPER nice about it and make you feel REALLY taken care of. But wait until you have something unexpected and uncommon happen to you - a slow water leak under your home, expensive jewelry stolen that you didn't have extra policy coverage for, neck injuries from a car accident - you'll be shocked to discover that USAA will say they're "so sorry" but your policy doesn't cover that. They'll happily leave your family to pay out of pocket and pick up the pieces. When these VERY expensive, catastrophic things happen to you insurance SHOULD be there for you. Every member of USAA should review their policy coverage every 2 years, shop around on price, and know the areas of loss where you are vulnerable if something happens. USAA is not "the best" insurance company - they are the best swindlers, touting "legacy" and using their image to con all of us out of our money by convincing us to pay more for the same mediocre, typical coverage as the insurance company next door. Tricking us into trusting them because our fathers and grandfathers think so highly of them and recommended them to us. Talk about the fleecing of America! USAA wrote the book.

Very pleased with them. It's for veterans and family of veterans.

They are the best. You have to have been in the military or military family member in order to use them. They are always available to us and 100% responsive. They are always on your side if something goes wrong. They are the absolute best in that field.

We switched to them after our old insurance provider hadn't been very responsive. We talked to USAA and they gave us an incredible amount of discounts for our coverage. I'm very impressed with the quality of their service and how they respond to claims. I've had some serious ones, especially concerning hurricane damage. You can't resolve that overnight, especially when there's so many widespread claims.

They're easy to deal with. I've never had any problems with them.

We have used them for over 50 years, and they have done everything right on time, and they are the best.

I had an insurance claim for my roof. it costed $16000 but my insurance company paid it. The guy came from the insurance company and told me that my roof is not right. He took care of everything and I had to do nothing. They are just wonderful.

My family's been with USAA over 40 years. Excellent service in all areas we've used them. Homeowner's, life, auto, personal property insurance. During this time we've had a couple car wrecks, computer destroyed by lightning strike, hail damage, broken water line in the freezer. Every single time, USAA has responded quickly & professionally.

They are the most awesome insurance company I have every used. Customer service with them is great.
