I faxed a signed limited tort form to bring the balance down of what I owe them to cancel. Even though Octobers statement online shows I have limited. They gave me a phone number to the complex billing department to take further issues up with them. Where on the phone it was $150 to cancel, I got my first letter from USAA in 2 years (besides insurance cards) which now says the cancelation is $290. This is an ongoing matter, I will not be extorted this is robbery.

From Insurance of your Autos, Home, Investment Management you can not find any better. We have dealt with USAA for the last 30 years and services have always been fantastic.

We have auto insurance with USAA (my wife is a Marine) and they were simply the most efficient, kind, and informative when my wife got into a car accident last year. Everything was done to schedule, with minimal confusion. We really felt like they our backs. If you are military or affiliated with the military, from this one experience I would absolutely recommend that you check their services out.

I use them for my credit cards and am considering using their financial advising services.

Yes, it seems unusual to report on an insurance company, but this one is so responsive and supportive that they deserve credit. The accident occurred just before Christmas during a big snow storm. As you would expect, this threw us way off schedule for a number of year end meetings, and scheduled holiday events. USAA took the anxiety out of the process and handled all the details. After we reported the accident to USAA, they made all the arrangements to have the car towed and contacted the collision shop to make arrangements for repairs. They answered questions about our coverage, and provided advice on how to proceed. Everything was completed quickly and there were no doubts or qualifications on getting the repairs done. The repair shop was ecstatic about their dealings with USAA. So, while I am writing about this incident specifically, I would like to add that we have had all our insurance through USAA for over 40 years, and would strongly recommend them to anyone who qualifies (a member of the armed services or any relative of an armed service member). They are the easiest, and most knowledgeable people to deal with. They respond immediately, and pay for claims quickly. .

I've been using USAA for my car, renter, and homeowner insurance for 25 years. They have been stellar throughout. The price is excellent. The quality of the coverage is unparallelled. And the customer service when you call with a question or to change your policy is flawless. I can't say enough about this company. I also use them for my banking, credit card, and mortgage, but that's a subject for another review. Suffice to say if you haven't opened a checking account or a credit card with them, you should - you'll be pleasantly surprised! Note: USAA insurance is available only to active military, veterans, and children of active military or veterans. USAA banking, however, is available to anyone at all.

I fell asleep and wrecked my car. I took it to the auto repair that they used and the repair shop completely restored the right side of my car. I would expect no less. We have had USAA since October of 1966, and they have always been prompt and the work has always been exceptional and professiona.l

|With regard to insurance, we have had multiple auto claims over the past 15 years through which USAA has provided excellent service from an initial inspection by an adjuster, accommodation for our preferences for repair shops, direct payment to the repair shop, and willingness to pay for all repairs we felt were needed. Following our claims, we have not undergone rate increases and have kept good driver discounts. Our premiums have been cheaper than we have been able to find anywhere else -- most years we also usually receive a refund on some of our premium cost! | |With regard to banking services, we feel that USAA is second to none. Our checking account pays interest and has no extra fees. Basic checks (the simple blue pattern) are even free! On top of that, up to $15.00 per month is refunded for ATM transactions, even at ATMs of other banks. Our savings account earns competitive interest rates higher than the rates of CDs at some other banks. Our CD rates are similarly excellent, as high as even the "limited time offers" from other banks. Features like excellent on-line access to our accounts, including free online bill-pay are all part of the standard accounts. We couldn't imagine banking anywhere other than USAA!

It's sad to say that even though the Financial Advice/Service is free, it still costs too much. The gentle I spoke with didn't seem very knowledgeable. In a couple instances, I was given inaccurate information. In these financially risky times, you have to be very careful who you accept advice from. In my case we were discussing a 2nd mortgage that was still oweing after a foreclosure. I wanted to find the best way to handle it and if necessary I'd file bankruptcy. When I brought up statute of limitations and possibility of reaching out to them after it expires to discuss settlement, he told me not to call them because a phone call restarts the statute of limitations all over again. This was one of several inaccuracies mentioned. I'm very fond of USAA, so this came as a double surprise to me.

I have been banking with USAA for over 10 years now and they continue to amaze me. Their products are competitive and their customer service is unmatched. I have so far gone to USAA for credit services, checking, savings, auto insurance, renter's insurance (GREAT VALUE), home owner's insurance and IRA investments. The only branch of USAA that I have ever had a less that exceptional experience has been with their mortgage department. I cannot recommend that particular arm of USAA due to being provided poorly researched and contradictory information. For every other financial need I cannot recommend USAA highly enough - if you are eligible for membership and using any other bank then you are doing a disservice to yourself and your financial well being.

ns After asking me Questions about myself and wife I was transferred to another agent who then informed me they didn't cover what I needed insured.Don't like giving out my information,should of pre screened my needs before asking personal questions.Will notify all of my fellow brothers in the MARINE CORPS LEAGUE (14,000 of them that this Company is full of S%$T

The process started out well, then USAA decided to switch out my loan processor a week prior to the origionally scheduled closing date. After that the whole process disintegrated when the new processor decided to send the loan package back to underwriting. Long story short, the closing was delayed by two weeks and cost me money, time and frustration. I feel that the underwriters were unreasonable in their expectations and that USAA has lost its high level of customer service as this is the second issue I've had with USAA concerning mortgages in the past 2 years.

We have been a member of USAA since 1970. We use several of their services....Auto Insurance, Home Insurance, Flood Insurance and Banking. We have never had a problem and they are always prompt with their responses. They have never questioned our claims for Auto and Home.
