This is the best company that I have ever dealt with.

USAA was the absolute worst insurance company I've had the displeasure to deal with! One of my trucks was destroyed in a May 2003 tornado. The claims process was a true nightmare! On my late-model truck, the damage was a crushed bed, broken glass and other damage, while the damage to my '70 Ford F250 was complete and total. It took a great deal of work on my part to keep them from totalling the Dodge Cummins diesel pickup. It took me to go out and source parts and such to keep the damage threshold below their total limits, which seemed to me as I was doing the work THEY should've been doing. That's not all... The 1970 Ford was my Dad's truck, and I had two professional independent appraisals done on the truck for $7,500 and $8,000. The USAA adjuster offered me a whopping $2,456.00 for the truck! The adjuster claimed that the truck was missing the original air conditioning system (the truck NEVER HAD air, ever!), and that a color change "affected the value significantly"; never mind the color change was complete, to include every square inch of the truck, with the exclusion of the very bottom of the firewall! He also claimed the color change was to a non-stock color (it was Ford Blue and was painted Ford Red!). He knew absolutely nothing about Ford trucks at all! The ended up going to an arbitrator of the Oklahoma Insurance Department, where the claim was "settled" at less than $5K, and I kept the truck remains. I wholeheartedly recommend you RUN away from USAA! Do not take them at their word, ever. I learned a $3K mistake the hard way in dealing with USAA, I cancelled my policy with them the day I got the Dodge out of the body shop, and sent them a letter stating why I did so. To add insult to it all, they kept sending me "come back, we miss you!" mailings for the next seven YEARS! No way, USAA.

USAA has always been very helpful and responds rapidly to my requests! I have uses USAA FOR MORE THAN 20 YEARS!

This is one of the best insurance companies I have ever done business with. They may be a little high in price but the service I have received in the past is definitely worth it. Their response to any accident or issue I have had with my house have been fantastic.

The few accidents we have had have been handled by them perfectly! The one time our home had roof damage due to hail, they put us in touch with a preferred provider and it was done beautifully with a 25 year warranty. Great, professional organization.

Where do I begin with the all that has gone wrong with this bank? Well for starters, since before they began their media blitzing campaign to expand service to kids of military kids and whoever else, they paid my insurance from my ex-wife's account while I was deployed. It's transparent to me because I'm not really scrutinizing insurance documents while deployed and I get a letter in the mail explaining their mistake. I don't get credit for their mistake instead, I get to pay on two insurance policies simultaneously to re-coup my ex's account and begin paying on the new insurance policy. |Then, they repeatedly sent both a debit and credit card to a wrong address while I was waiting on them; the debit card twice. Wonder why I ever had fraudulent charges to my accounts in the past...hmm. |Their home buying service is a sham. They don't even administer it. No like many of their services, it's farmed out to a disinterested, unmotivated, unresponsive third party. Once you commit to home appraisals or agree to proceed with an approved loan, you've committed $100's if not more in money you'll never get back despite shoddy service and products. They won't stand behind their products or services and claim they know what it means to serve. I don't even have to beg to differ. |Then the latest travesty came when I was trying to renew a vehicle registration for a vehicle that they held a security interest in. They or in this case too, their third party title service Vintek, knew within a month or less that they needed to send the former state's title to my current state so that it could be properly registered and did nothing. I find out at the time of renewal (of all times?!), that my title wasn't with my current state despite my registering the vehicle there and updating that information with USAA. They claimed to have sent the required information nearly a year ago when they received notification yet didn't or didn't care to reconcile the fact that they had possession of the proper title. I had to burn up the wires with people from USAA and their empty lip service, meanwhile the clock was ticking on my vehicle being lawfully registered to operate. They sent more paperwork to the proper state's county clerk on behalf of the Department of Revenue and left it at that. Action (papers) passed, action complete. Didn't care to follow it up with me, didn't follow it up with the either states DORs and didn't even attempt to in recognition of their mistake. Although they did have some clueless representative call me wanting an update on the situation, which is hardly following up. I shouldn't be back briefing anyone on this situation. They record the phone conversations, the representative should be making notes or at least say they're referring to notes from previous calls and this clown is asking me for an update as to what's going on?! If anything, they should be updating me as the process and steps they are/were (in this case weren't) taking to remedy their mess. I got another notice that said that the current state was not in receipt of the required title and proceeded to get exactly the "action passed, action complete" response from a service representative when I called to inquire. Then I got handed off to another kid, who wanted to educate me on the process of transferring a title from one state to the next, which he nor Vintek could provide any tangible evidence they knew about in the first place. It only took a year for them to still try and attempt to transfer a title for Pete's sake!!! Then when he said he'd call me back, he didn't, some other person did, I guess because he was either too embarrassed or hopefully but doubtfully too ashamed. I worked a deal with the county to conditionally renew my vehicle for another year, USAA once again was nowhere in the process to make their situation right. Over a year later, the title was finally received by the proper authorities to make my registration wholly valid. USAA wouldn't give me any contact information for reaching their third party title services, they shielded them and didn't do anything to help me, their customer. It was only by finding the small print on the form for the vehicle transfer itself, that I could even run down who their apathetic third party vendor was and even then it took several examinations. |Everyone uses first name pseudonyms so you can take meticulous notes of the people you talked to but it won't do any good in assigning blame where it belongs to remedy the situation in the future for yourself or other customers. They don't care anymore about customer service and haven't from my foxhole for going on eight years, only growing the consumer base to shirt tail relatives of relatives to increase their holdings and market share. So as you might be able to glean, when USAA has messed up for me, it has been spectacularly. It has never been cheap and never been without monopolizing my time and energies to fix their horrible service. The only things that has been notably absent is their commitment to long time customers, loyal, responsive and timely customer service and a positive banking experience altogether. |I've pulled all accounts but my insurance from them and I'm working actively to get that removed as well. Do not read this and then reward a company like this with your business. Look to Navy Federal Credit Union or First Command Financial to handle financial needs. They are well represented, offer superior customer service and are most likely located in your backyard or very nearby.

Price was more than i pay currantly.

This company is ethical and honest in all its business practices. They never engage in any of the shady practices other credit card companies and banks use to bilk customers out of their money. USAA has recently changed their policies on credit cards for non-military families, becoming a bit more restrictive, but if you are lucky enough to qualify for USAA membership, don't hesitate to use them. They are awesome!

Not good. I payed for full coverage insurance. The insurance company Low balled me when they sent thier adjuster. Then They sent an investogator. They did not pay out. I am currently being forced to take legal action against USAA. Dont let the cheap insurance rates fool you. When you have to file a claim They will not pay out.

I have used USAA for over 5 years now, for multiple things. Most recently, we used the USAA referral service for selling our house. They had two local realtors that have been USAA certified contact me. We had a great feeling about one of them and she really did deliver. Our house was on the market about 5 weeks and then we were in contract. We recently closed on the sale and in less than a week, USAA had deposited our bonus for completing the sale with one of their referrals. Such a great little extra!

Would not even consider another provider for these services!

I have been with USAA for 17 years. They are fantastic! I know I am in good hands with them. I had Allstate for our first home, and they were just ok. USAA offered more coverage for just a little more, so we switched to them since we had our autos insured with them and have had such wonderful experiences with them. They are always very professional and help in any way possible, even giving me local numbers to assist with a neighbors dead tree. Can't beat them, everyone else fails in comparison.

Insurance is just terrible. I have been using them for 18 years. I had a water leak into my home 8 months ago and they are still stalling. My furniture is in storage and they are not helping me. I have been all the way to the executive President whom makes over 6.7 mil. a year from USAA. His office has tried to work with me but they are just screwing me over. They owe me $3,000 and pay $1,200. Then I ask and they give me another $1,000. They refuse to pay out in the correct way. I want to sue them but I would only lose out on what the lawyer costs.

As a member of USAA, they provided financial planning services for free. They are not sales people. The session went fine. I will probably do it again as a annual check up on how my finances are doing.

Have been a member since the early 80's. Began with car insurance and expanded as I purchased a home and established accounts. When I have any finance/ major business needs, they are my go to company. Completely satisfied with this company.

Unfortunately, my wallet was stolen from my office on a Friday afternoon. Before I even realized it had been taken, my credit cards had been used at several area stores. Once I called USAA, they took care of the problem immediately. We were not responsible for even one dollar of the thousands they spent, and were issued replacement cards directly. USAA even set us up with text notifications of possible fraudulent activity so we could better avoid this in the future. We have been customers of USAA for over 15 years and couldn't be happier.

Representative was helpful and though.In years past, I have been assisted by their staff for different concerns. I have used USAA for over 25 years and will continue to do so.

I LOVE USAA! I cannot use another insurance provider for as long as I live. I may sound like I am exagerrating, but after having dealt with Allstate and 21st Century, USAA wins, hands down. They are mostly based online, but that totally works for me. (They happen to have a few local offices as well, but I have never visited any.) Their promptness, understanding of military culture and dynamics and overall customer service are unsurpassed. I HIGHLY recommend to any and all military and military family members!

we have made insurance claims - they paid promptly and in full. MasterCard tracking for fraudulent billing is A++. On-line servicing is secure and rapidly updated. Moving funds between accounts also instantly accomplished. I have not yet used investments -- but may consider it. All in all, cannot recommend USAA strongly enough.

USAA is an insurance company and bank for current and former members of US armed forces and their descendants. I've been a USAA member since the early 1980's and have used their insurance and credit card services ever since. The level of service for all our accounts has been near flawless and find it hard to fault anything about this company. If you qualify for membership, seriously consider USAA. You won't regret it.

It is going well. We have had USAA insurance for EVERYTHING (AUTO, HOME, LIABILITY, PERSONAL GOODS, HEALTH) for over 47 years! And now our grown children and their families have USAA. If there was a grade above A, I would give it to them 10 times over!

I've been banking and insuring with USAA for many years now and their free checking and savings can't be beat. They don't have the lowest rates on loans generally but still the quality of service has always been the best. I haven't recently compared insurance rates but I've always had great claims service so I really haven't cared about switching.

Great customer service, they take care of me quite well.
