USAA Bank

My assumption was that USAA would be on my side and fight any battles for me since they are my insurance company. Instead they totaled my car and then wanted to under pay me for its' value. I had to fight for every extra penny. Once I settled with USAA over the value of the car I decided to go ahead and have the car fixed and keep it since it was in mint condition before the accident. USAA stopped paying for my rental car the day they paid for the car. This left me to pay an additional $450 for the extra time it took to fix my car. Do you seriously want me to believe that USAA couldn't get an extra $450 out of the other guys insurance when he hit me? USAA didn't even attempt to do this because that's not how it's done. My entire experience was like USAA was working for the other guy.

They are readily available. I can talk to people; not machines and usually American people that I can understand. They are really good. There is no branch location anywhere else close to me but the way that they have it set up I don't really need it. I can possibly do anything I need to do on the app or over the phone. They don't have ATMS here but you can just use any ATMS you want and they pay the other banks' fee and refund it to you.

We just love USAA. They are great company, they are very fair in their practices and we do all our banking with them. We really appreciate the home owners insurance.

I LOVE USAA. I cannot say it in enough reviews. I have been with this company since college in the early 90s. They are awesome. I have banking, insurance, and credit relationships with USAA. They deliver service above and beyond in every area. Insurance claims are handled quickly and efficiently. This last claim was researched, approved, and my portion deposited electronically before 1 day had elapsed. It gets no better than that. Whenever I have had someone steal my credit card numbers, this bank stops them immediately and gets my accounts in order - stat. There is usually a new card in my hand within a week. If you are eligible to join USAA, just do it. They are a great company.

Their customer service is friendly and responsive. There plain service is prompt and efficient. They're very good to work with, overall.

We've used them for years and they have ALWAYS conducted themselves with a great level of professionalism and customer care. Can't say enough good things.

USAA is top notch. I believe them to be a company that is above any other company in every category in which I have ever dealt with USAA. Everything my family has ever done with USAA has beem absolutely perfect. In 1998 I lived in Florida and when I had some roof damage due to Hurricane Ivan, USAA paid enough for me to cover all the repairs as I used someone who charged very reasonable rates and yet did good work. They have covered numerous times (when I lived in hurricane country) without any hassle or receipts loss of food in the refrigerator and freezer when power was out for several days. When I left Florida USAA also covered on a subsequent home, less my deductible, a new roof due to the tornadoes in April 2011. I had minor shingle damage but also some hail damage but no roof leaks, so I was not in a hurry as many who had holes or partial or no roofs and yet within 2 weeks of an inspector coming out to inspect my roof which was right after I called USAA, and there were THOUSANDS of home damaged or totally destroyed here as an EF4 went through, a check had been deposited in my checking account from USAA for me to use however and whenever I wanted! My friends who had other insurance company coverage argued for weeks and months to get a check, which when received was made out to them AND a contractor - what a hassle during a disaster when there was no mail delivery....my roofing money went directly into my checking account electronically. I was elated. My only complaint is that USAA homeowner insurance rates are high - in Florida I was paying the highest rates of anyone in my residential neighborhood. However, as I said, when there is a claim, USAA takes care of it immediately, they are not stingy with their coverage payment and deposited it directly into my checking account at another bank (even though I do not have a checking account with them). I am in the legal field and I have seen many claims by homeowners against OTHER insurance companies trying to get them to pay for their damage claims - and those are the big names in insurance who have to be sued by the homeowner to get them to pay for damage which they should cover. This has happened repeatedly with hurricanes in Florida and Mississippi. I've seen states take other big name insurance companies to task because they won't pay for storm damage/hurricane damage. Those companies try not to pay the claims and blame it on flood damage instead of wind or water surge. Those insurance companies run and squeal like pigs trying not to pay - in contrast USAA pays immediately and there is never a hassle, never even a need for a follow up phone call. So inspite of high rates, as far as homeowners insurance, I figure you get what you pay for. I don't need a hassel or nonpayment when I have a valid claim. There is a list/booklet about the 10 worst insurance companies - and USAA is NEVER even near being on that list but those BIG NAME national insurance companies are on there - I never thought much of those companies but when I saw their name on the list of 10 worst companies with articles on each company and why they are on the list, I knew I would never do business with them as a customer. I was shocked at who was on the list - and then being in the legal field and seeing the cases against the insurance companies for nonpayment of claims...I knew I would always stick with USAA. Over 30 years I have had several auto claims - some my fault and some of others. My repairs are always covered up front; I take my autos only to their recommended "star garages". The work is always good at the "star" garages. I have tried for 20 of the last 30 years to beat their auto insurance rates with equal coverages - I have NEVER been able to beat USAA's rates for auto insurance. I have given up on trying to beat their rates for the last decade because if I couldn't beat the rates the first 20 years, it's time to stop trying - there's no one out there that can touch their auto rates or service. USAA will always insure my auto - I would have no one else. I have their road assist on my insurance policy for about $6 per 6 months and that has been invaluable to me when I have a flat, run out of gas, have a breakdown, dead battery and one time after my brakes went out (no accident), I called and they towed my car to my garage. For $1 a month (less the trip planning benefit) I get the same road assist service as you get from the large national company that specializes in road assist and trip planning and they charge over $60 a year - minimum on a good day! In Florida road assist came in 20-30 minutes maximum; here is Alabama, I have round the wait to be one hour each time I call. However I live in a rural area and I have no choice but to wait when using road assist - after all, the cost is right - $1 a month. USAA puts out a quarterly magazine for their customers and a special issue for the younger USAA customers (young adults). I always look forward to that helpful magazine. I am a USAA customer for life.

Good price on what i wanted for insurance coverage

I have been a member of USAA for 40 years. In my opinion, they are without a doubt the foremost provider of automobile and homeowners insurance in this country.. All business is transacted over the telephone or by e-mail or a mobile device. Since they are a mutual company, they are able to share some profits with policyholders at year-end depending upon location and claims experience. I have received a rebate almost every year since joining. Every claim has been handled professionally, expeditiously and most favorably. We have filed three auto and two water damage claims for different homes, They have provided insurance on four rental properties we own in another state and conducted safety inspections at the locations to inform us of potential risks. Their credit card service is excellent. While travelling in France, a restaurant worker stole our card information and charged over $11,000 to our account. Upon our return to the US, we discovered the theft, called USAA and they immediately removed the charges. Within a week I received a new card. There was no financial impact to us.

We've used them for 50 some years. They're definitely an A. The price is comparable to anybody else's, probably cheaper. The quality are responsiveness are excellent. I wouldn't think of anybody else.

use until I reach the 1 million mark. Makes no sense to find and pay a financial planner and change when USAA feels you have enough money for them to work with you. Apparently not a financial planner for the average person.

Everything went well. The price quoted was accurate. The entire phone call took less then 20 minutes.

I have been a continuous member of USAA for over 53 years and have never had a bad experience. In fact, most times when I talk to a representative on the phone I leave and am really impressed by their professionalism and commitment to customer service. I do most of my interaction with USAA online and .. again am impressed with their web based tools including mobile apps. 53 years says a lot.

I have had my mortgage with USAA on the past three homes I've bought. I get my home owners insurance from them. I also get my automobiles covered by the USAA company. With USAA's credit card you earn points quickly and the amount of points for redemption and the quality of items available are exceptional. You also receive hundreds of fabulous discount on a large array of products to shop for. They have always handled my claims promptly and to my satisfaction. I've been a member since 1987.

I've been a USAA member since 1984; would never consider changing. USAA not only has all my insurance coverage but also my retirement investments. My kids have USAA because of my eligibility and their experience has been fantastic as well.

We were out of town when the ice storm hit our area....Our neighbors were kind enough to text us pictures of the damage, and although we hadn't physically seen the damage we were still able to get our claim open and get the ball rolling. After getting home we found 2 forty foot trees laying in and across our pool...apprx. 20+ additional trees down along our fence line and 2 refrigerator's and 3 freezers that had to be cleaned out. Due to high demand on tree services we wound up cutting the trees away ourselves....but, for the food that was lost.....there was NO deductible and USAA paid up to $500.00 worth of loss. IF WE WOULD HAVE HIRED A TREE SERVICE...WE WOULD HAVE HAD TO PAY $500 & THAT ONLY INCLUDED REMOVING THE TREES FROM DAMAGED AREAS...BUT, TO HAVE THEM CUT AND HAULED AWAY USAA WOULD ONLY PAY UP TO $1000.00. IT WORKED OUT FOR US...FRIENDS AND NEIGHBORS HELPED CUT & HAULD TO CURB...3 WEEKS LATER COUNTY HAULED AWAY (NO EXPENSE TO US) They were able to direct deposit it into our USAA account, although we could have used any account. The deposit was here within 1 1/2 days. Also, due to the multitude of trees down and limbs everywhere, my husbands new burgundy Lincoln suffered plenty...when a tree branch that was unavoidable caught the side of his car. USAA set up everything! They, gave us several choices of auto body places...we chose the one we wanted...and they set up the appointment...BAMM......We only had to pay our $500.00 deductible and they took care of the rest...DIRECT. very smooth and easy. Much easier then dealing with home issues yes home and auto operate slightly different.

Caused my driver tier rating to be increased ( now I am paying an additional $73/6month premium ) due to the uninsured motorist claim I filed with USAA. Eventually the other driver handed over his insurance info to us in court, and everything was settled under his insurance, but the fact USAA reported it prior to any claim payout or settlement hurt my driving record. They even hung up on me one time when I called them on it and that's just plain bad customer service.

I had originally hoped the windshield could be repaired, but it quickly became a lengthy crack, rather than a small ding. After originally scheduling an appointment through USAA's recommended windshield repair place, where they told me a replacement was needed, I opted instead for replacement at my car dealership. USAA allows for their clients to use shops of their own choice. I sent my bill to USAA through their website on the day my replacement was completed, and they approved payment within a couple of hours, sending the reimbursement (minus deductible, of course) directly to my bank account within a couple of days. Seamless and smooth! We have had USAA insurance for many years - both home and auto - and have always been impressed by their customer service, costs, and claim handling. Highly recommend!

By far the best bank I work with. You will not regret it. Even though it is located in San Antonio, the mobile banking makes it really easy to deposit checks. Costumer Service is excellent when your working with them.

Each transfer opnly costs 24.00 and they have no personal gain so they tell you the truth. Very reliable.

They understand the uniqueness of the military lifestyle and meet those needs well. Every time I think I will check around for better insurance rates, most companies tell me they already know they can't beat what USAA provides for me.

Not all services are the best but very competitive, still advisable to shop around for things besides insurance.

Cost of car insurance; also have $100 deductible for windshield replacement.

We have our car and homeowners insurance through them. We also have a credit card. They also provide other banking services and financial advice. It is gear more towards the military. It has been fine and there have not been any problems. We have been with them for over 30 years. They are the best. I would use them again.
