Description of Work: Our mortgage is through USAA. They not only were able to beat everyone else's rates, but they truly bent over backwards for us as first time buyers to ensure we were comfortable on the process. Our processor was there for us every step of the way explaining every process. They truly had our best interest as first time buyers at heart, in no way did I ever feel like I was dealing with a bank, it was like taking a loan from a family member.

Description of Work: we have been members with USAA for over 30 years. We recently contacted them about making a change to our Homeowner's Insurance. The staff are always very helpful and always go thru are other banking and auto accounts with USAA to see if there are other ways to save money.

Description of Work: This is bank and insurance related. My situation with USAA is that I have been a member/customer for 35 years and have found that when I really needed them to be there for me, they weren't. The bank is involved with my present issue because I won't give them the car that I had a loan on back. It died last winter (2014) during a 3 day sub -20 Farenheit cold snap and is a total loss. There is still a dollar amount owed on the loan but my car sustained weather related catastrophic damage. In the past when my car got injured, they were there for me - following up and making the necessary connections with critical people and providing funds as necessary. When I (my body) got injured (2012), they dragged me through the mud and I never got any help from them - in fact they made it h****** me when I was injured. I have been told by legal professionals that insurance companies (including USAA) have a regular scammy way of dealing with car insurance claims such as mine. My neck injury is still not healed and it has changed my life in a serious way - I shouldn't have to go through a bunch of stress, get an arbitrator or an attorney when I am injured to get the funds I am rightly entitled to. The bank is involved with my present issue because I won't give them the car that I had a loan on back. It died last winter during a 3 day sub -20 Farenheit cold snap and is a total loss. There is still a dollar amount owed on the loan but my car sustained weather related catastrophic damage - they should pay for that. I have gathered information from various knowledgeable people and they have confirmed that my car sustained weather related damage more likely than not. I was harassed for months by their legal team, other people and they even called family members. They will never get the car or any money from me. The bad credit rating that they have tried to bestow upon me has been a joke. I have always had a very good credit rating. They need to make it right. My father (a former navy officer and war veteran) has told me that they will make it right - that hasn't happened yet. I guess my dad was wrong on this.... |I am so disgusted and I can't believe they haven't made this right yet.
