TWO MEN AND A TRUCK North

Went well, but they were a little vaugue with final cost amount and we were surprised when told amount.

The move itself was fair. Two men showed up, on time, and loaded up the truck at my old house. I had to ask them to put protection around the front door frame after they ran into it a couple of times and put a gouge in the door frame and a mark on the front door. A couple pieces of furniture ended up with dings as well, but since it was old furniture I didn't bother to claim damage on those. However, they knocked a German cuckoo clock off the wall because one of the guys wasn't looking where he was going, and the clock broke in three places. This was a clock with sentimental value so I was quite upset for a time. The truck was loaded well, and nothing else was damaged in transit. They unloaded everything into the new place and put the furniture where I wanted. I had recommended the company to a co-worker before I'd even moved because of such high praise from another friend who had used them in the past. My co-worker had a great experience because they sent THREE people to move him. I don't think it was fair to do that, because if three people had been sent to move me it wouldn't have taken as many hours, or cost me so much money. The biggest problem I had was getting the cuckoo clock repaired. This was a very expensive clock I had purchased in Germany so I wanted it repaired properly. Two Men & a Truck stated they knew a furniture repair guy. Someone from Two Men came to my apartment to pick up the clock - I had to ask for a receipt for it so he scribbled it on a piece of paper. A week later I called to check on it and it had been picked up by their subcontractor that day (why a week later?). A couple weeks after that I called to check again and was told it was finished and the subcontractor would be calling me that same day. The next day the subcontractor called me and arranged to bring over my clock. He showed up with the clock, which had been repaired nicely in two places, but not the third spot where wood had been broken off. That spot looked like an amateur had stuck the broken piece on with super glue. I touched the clock in that spot and the wood flaked right off. The furniture guy apologized and said that he had only been contracted to fix the other two broken pieces because the guy at Two Men & a Truck had already fixed the third spot himself. This was never agreed to by me. The furniture guy went out to his truck and brought in his equipment and did the repair of the third broken piece in my apartment. He did such a professional job that now, I can't even see where it was broken, which tells me that indeed, the Two Men guy attempted to fix it himself in order to not have to pay the subcontractor for as much work. I understand that accidents happen, and after a couple hours I had calmed down about my precious clock being broken and even tipped the movers at the end of the day. It was the way the clock repair was handled that gets them the bad grade.

Communications between members was not very good. Example, I ask that covers be left on a number of pieces, agreeing to pay for such, but all were remover when I check the storage unit.

Adam and his helpers did a great job and I would recommend his service to any who need strong guys to move some heavy stuff.

They moved around 5 or 6 pieces of furniture from one house to another. From arrival at one house to drop off at the other house it was less than an hour. They were friendly and professional and I will use them anytime I need a mover!!!!

The two movers were 18-21 years old. Not gentle with the items and furniture. They were 6 hours late and didn't call I had to call them multiple times and see the status of my time to move, Even though I book them 3 weeks in advance. The company contract stated $100/ hour and paid by miles . However when the two movers came they said that it is billed by hours not by mileage..this they tried to change the terms of the contract. Of course the move was during rush hour and Drive time was long compared to a few mile drive distance. Packing into the new storage unit was poor and not well packed...they did not use the space efficiently. When I offered suggestions the young kid responded that he has done this before and knows what he is doing.

Very prof. 2 young men. They were very fast and very efficient. Never wasted time. Very polite. They moved us from an upstairs apt. To a home in stone oak.on time and finished before we new it. Would hire them again

They were prompt, courteous, clean, friendly and well -trained for packing. Everything was well-packed and there was no breakage on the receiving end. They were finished before the allotted minimum time, so we had them move a couple of items to the garage in preparation for loading.

Went very well and they were very careful with everything. I would use them again.

Showed up with an extra man (3 total- Rocky, Matt & Dustin ) no extra charge. Good guys, friendly, but all business. Really busted their bottoms working. Manager at the office, Elizabeth was fantastic to deal with. Definitely will use these guys again and give "referrals". Already done so!!

They took care of our furniture and they also explained to us every time them found a piece with damage or they know how to fix something that was damaged, there were a lot more made for me than the original.

Some of the movers were awful. I was guessing that the son was working for the owner. They broke alot of stuff and they were just taking their time. I was paying by the hour and only moved 30 min away and it took them almost 5 hours. I wanted them to speed it up. They banged up my washing machine and it was hooked up wrong. I was trying to get them out of my house. On top of that the owner charged me a credit card charge. He ended up refunding me the charge. They eventually got someone out to fix the washing machine. In the end they refunded some money, but all the stuff that I went though- I would not recommend them.I have to say that one out of the three was very professional. The truck wasn't big enough so I had to use my car to put boxes in. I had to make 2 or 3 trips back and didn't offer to help.

In February, we emptied our house of everything for some remodeling work. I did my own packing of breakables then called Two Men to take everything to storage. I was amazed how fast they worked. Shrink-wrap wood pieces and padded between wood pieces as needed (used my old linens). Roper and Rodrigo were amazing! When it was time to bring furniture back, Rodrigo and Greg were super efficient. These young men don't waste anytime but they are not reckless either.

Everything was pretty smooth. They showed up on time, moved everthing on time without any damages and were accurate with the estimate.

Two Men and a Truck were very attentive. They worked very efficiently. They were there on time. They weren't wasting any time, because they weren't getting paid by the hour, so they worked efficiently. They were careful with all of the delicate furniture and things like that. So, we were very pleased.

They arrived on time and packaged everything I needed packed. They left on time. From start to finish it took them only 4 hours!

That was my daughter's experience and she's moving out of our place into another place and it's really more of her experience but what I got, it was very easy. I was here when they loaded up the truck. My daughter did the booking. I talked to them, again I was kind of a bystander but they were in a decent time frame, they weren't in a hurry, they loaded up a decent truck and it was a good experience. I really haven't much experience with them so I really can't really get them ahead or behind me but I just think they are nice folks and they were very professional and they were quick on their stuff, we kind of like section off and they knew exactly what they needed to get and did a great job.

They were really nice. They helped us to move everything that we need. They were fast. They took care of everything. I recommended them.

One of the workers from Two Men and a Truck broke my husband's grandfather clock and we had to pay $400 to get it fixed. They didn't even acknowledge that they broke it so we were not compensated in any way. The worker didn't claim any responsibility but the demeanor of the staff were friendly though.

I called first and made an appointment for the moving of an apartment of 3 rooms to a house. They requested the number of rooms that we were moving. The day that they came the person in charge started to scream at us telling us that we had too many things unpacked! I thought that was their job!!!! 2 days later, they came back (remember that they already had seen the things that we need to move 20-30 miles away. When they arrived they had the same small truck and they were mad that we had too many boxes. Then they filled up the truck and we had to make our first trip. While the 1st trip the truck overheated and they made it to our new place and left the boxes where they wanted to leave them because "it was our fault for having too much stuff", remember that 2 days before they saw our house and the contents. After the first move they left to change trucks and they showed up with another small truck. The second truck was too small an they decided that they could not fit all my property leaving big pieces in the apartment. They took off and I was left with 1/5 of my property in the apartment and without a big enough vehicle to move it.

My experience with Two Men and a Truck was good. There was no hassle. They came out and got us moved. It was pretty convenient.

Moved furniture from home in San Antonio to another home in Canyon Lake area and then took some furniture from Canyon Lake back to San Antonio. Work was done in a timely and efficient manner. Workers were friendly and upbeat. I will use them again if needed.

No estimate. Hard workers. Damaged items. Lost box. NO returend phone calls. Passing responsibility to workmen. Management ducks liability. Suggests first that you are simply confused about what you've lost. Suggests then that you can't find your lost box. Finally send a crew memer to comb thru your home to find the lost box. Suggests that maybe a family member has taken it. Tells you to file a police report. Items in box were DVDs. Several family events that are most precious. Others were typical movies collected over time.

Very responsive to my request for an estimate. They said the movers would be there between 7:30 and 8:00 the day of the move and they showed up about 8:35. Very friendly and very courteous movers when they got there. My only concern with them was the time it took us to be moved. It was 12:30 and they had not even finished loading the first load onto the truck. To their credit, they were very thorough in their preparation of our items so as not to break anything. Overall the move took about 12 hours from start to finish when the estimate I was given said 5-6 hours. I complained about how long it took so their boss called me and explained that the reason the estimate was so far off was because I had 5 extra items that were not listed on my original list of items to be moved. To his credit, he offered me a couple of discounts that saved me $150 or so. When you are paying $117 per hour, it is hard to stomach 6 extra hours of work. They did try to make it right though.

I'm guessing as to the date. I honestly don't remember. However, I've used Two Men and a Truck twice in the last year. Not for moving, per se, but for moving furniture within my house. I found everyone, from the dispatcher to the men they sent, to be professional and helpful. They arrived on time, performed the tasks with a great attitude, asked if there was anything else they could do, and arranged all the wires behind the entertainment unit. My only quibble was the price, which I thought was on the high side, plus they added "trip time". Still, I would use them again.
