The packers on the first day were more like 1 star. The weren't very friendly and it was tough to tell who was in charge except that it obviously wasn't the guy who spent most of his time at the truck on his phone. The crew left after 5 hours and not all of the packing done. The movers on the second day were friendly and courteous. I had high hopes but unfortunately after the move it became evident how shoddy the work was. Only about 20% of the boxes were labeled and consequently were placed just anywhere in the new place even when it was obvious that kitchen stuff didn't belong on the bedroom. The wardrobe boxes were treated as just larger packing boxes and filled with about anything. None of the hanging clothes were hung up at all for transport. We've been in the new place 6 days and still can't find things that are fairly essential, like the silverware. There are things at the old place that are waiting to be moved. For small, simple moves that the crew wants to do, this business it's probably fine. For us as a larger, more involved move, it SHOULD HAVE BEEN MUCH BETTER.

Move: Nightmare. It took 3 men 18 hours to move us and they still weren’t finished. When they arrived Friday, they estimated the move to take 10 to 12 hours. They started at 8:30am on Friday 9/22. By 10:30am, they had moved everything from our 10 x 20 storage unit. From Friday (9/22) at 10:30am to Saturday (9/23) at 2:30am, they did two truckloads and they still weren’t done moving an approx. 2,500 sq. feet. The day before we had them pack us so they knew how much furniture and boxes we were moving. They called Saturday for payment and we said we would pay them when they finished the job. The last load on Friday night they were more concern about loading boxes than the bedroom furniture. Saturday during the day, they sent over two guys that finished the move. They took off two hours of the 18 hours and didn’t bill us for the two hours for Saturday day. When they were unloading the truck at midnight, they were very loud. I had to ask several times for them to hold their voices down so they won’t wake up our new neighbors. I was moving our pets Saturday at 2am from the old house to the new house. Not good. As I thought later about the comments their main mover person said, he mentioned he could NOT drive a truck the next day if he worked after midnight. I realized with 18 hours in one day, he didn’t have to work on Sunday. He made his hours for two days on our one move. There were a few things damaged. The main mover person said he would file the damage report. He did not. I had to call/email to report it. I gave them a final damage report three weeks later since it took me that long to unpack since I was working and was too tired to do anything the weekend they moved us. Kevin, the owner, acknowledged the email with the damages and said he was out of town (Tuesday, 10/17/17) and “will review this when I have time.” I still haven’t heard from him as of 11/11/17. I sent him a follow-up email (10/30/17) and dropped by their office and asked the office person to have him call me. I still haven’t heard from him. I would say they were not prepared or equipped to make the move. They lacked understanding of whole move and seemed to work on what was in front of them at the moment. It took 3 men/3 trucks/trips to move 2500 sq ft. The evening hours were another issue as they had no lights in the truck, So two trucks and 18 hours later, still not finished. When they (Management) called early Saturday looking for payment, they were not aware we had not finished the job? Took another 2 people (fresh crew) to come back Saturday afternoon to final finish. Packing: We agreed to three packers (paying more) because we were told they could do the packing quicker. One packer was replaced within a 1.5 hours because he was texting and packing extremely slow. It took one packer, 7 hours to pack our kitchen. 5 double door cabinets and 3 single door cabinets. Most of his boxes had 6 to 7 inches of wadded up paper on the top and the normal amount (what I consider the normal amount) on the bottom. The other packers had the normal amount on the top and bottom of their boxes. The lead’s boxes were ½ to ¾ quarters full of items. Another packer took the garage. That was a big chore. He was focused and a hard worker. Glad he was there to assist. During these eight hours of packing, I packed my guest room, my office (lots in my office), and the armoire in the master bedroom, part of the clothes in the master closet. My husband and I finished the master closet on Sunday. The day before the packers arrived, I packed our reading room.

They broke my TV, scratched a dresser, stained brand new carpet, left trash behind, dropped boxes right in front of me. They took forever and carried 1lb lamps by themselves. Also, when I called the office to complain, I left 2 voicemails and never received a call back.

They said our house was too dirty for them to move us. I'll admit the carpets were gross but the things they actually needed to move (boxes, beds, washer/dryer) weren't themselves dirty. After I got an e-mail saying all of this, I checked the sender's name in google and saw mug shots from Florida and Colorado (although I can't be sure it's the same guy, the name seemed like it would be pretty unique). I would not recommend these guys.
Description of Work: Asked for a move from these guys, and they did a walk through of the house to determine what their estimate would be.

A crew showed up on Tuesday to pack our large items for the move. They were extremely polite, quick and responsive. They took great care not to damage our items. The same crew came the next day to move us from one home to another across town. Again, they were amazingly fast and organized, while still being polite and responsive to our questions and requests. Their pricing was competitive with any other companies I considered. I would highly recommend Two Men and A Truck for any moves you consider.

The team did a good and thorough job of moving furniture and belongings from two locations to a new home. They asked questions when needed and took good care of the furniture and boxes. They also were careful not to damage the walls from where we were moving from. They delivered everything to a 3rd story apartment and I was so glad I was not doing it by myself!

One man came the week before to provide an estimate. We said we'd have the "stuff" boxed and moved and would need them for the furniture and other large items. He arrived without the promised phone call. We are thankful someone was home at the time. The movers arrived a little late - but no big deal. We requested three men and one truck - it was more cost effective than the 2/1 option. They got to work and were pretty efficient and friendly. But they did not bring any boxes - not even coverings for the mattresses. So even though we had done a fairly good job of removing the small stuff - there's always something that gets missed. I was pretty disappointed that they don't carry a few boxes "just in case" and they did not bag or cover my mattresses so I had to do some pretty hefty cleaning later. One of the movers did say he could have someone bring boxes out if I wanted to pay for it. All-in-all, things went pretty well. Just one broken item and a promise to fix it. I must add that they work hard to get tipped - demonstrating in writing at the end how much $$$ they saved me by personally getting me moved in under the estimate so that I felt obligated to provide a tip. Let me also add that I had a tough time getting in touch with the company at the very start. I filled out their online form requesting an estimate and didn't hear back so I called. The lady who answered the phone was surprised that no one had reached out to me and took care of all my questions. Then, as the day came closer and we were scheduling the estimate, I was told she no longer worked there. THEN, the day before the actual move, I finally get a call from some clueless sales guy following up on my online form. It's clear they have some internal issues going on but overall we were pleased with the service.

The service went okay. I had used the company in the past. The movers were two very young men. I told them when I received my estimate that I had a lot of heavy furniture. They told me their movers could handle anything. I ended up not having my furniture moved into the new house the way I would have liked because I was afraid they would not be able to move the furniture without damaging my things or the home. They were very friednly movers and willing to try to do what I was asking.

They charged $98 an hour. I liked that they were friendly, but I did not like that they didn't have everything available for the move. They didn't have any dolly. They didn't have any ramp, to put on the front door so that they wouldn't have to go over the little stump. They didn't have any padding to put on the front doors to prevent any damage to my furniture or to the door.

Arrived on time, professional and very nice. The two men in charge of moving really hustled and made use of the time I was paying for. They were very protective of my furniture and not only padded everything but wrapped all furniture in plastic to protect it in the truck. I feel these movers were very fair and very concerned about keeping customers happy. Couldn't have asked for a better experience.

They were very good. We used the man and not the truck. They have people who come and unload or load the truck. If you drive the truck to your destination, they all come and unload it. So you save a lot of money there. They were extremely reasonable and they were really good. They charge by the hour, they were here for 2 hours. They were very professional and they were very punctual.

The job was originally scheduled for a Monday. When they showed up, we admittedly weren't completely finished packing all of our boxes, but had quite a few done, in addition to all the furniture that needed moving. We asked them if they could move what we had prepared already, and then come back for the rest on Friday. They said that the job would only take four to five hours, and they had tests to study for in the college classes they were taking. We reluctantly agreed and rescheduled for Friday, the last day we had to move out before the new owners moved in. When Friday came around they showed up around 8 a.m. with only two trucks, instead of the three needed to make the move in one trip, and even though it was the same group of young men from Monday, they weren't the same spunky crew they had been on Monday. They apparently had done several large jobs that week, and were tired and sore. They stood around in a daze and instead of my being able to pack and tape up the last of the boxes, I had to direct them as to what to do. They dragged their feet from one task to another, and when they went upstairs slowly, they kept saying "ouch, ouch" because their legs were sore from the previous week. It took them forever to load the two small truck that they had brought, and took over an hour lunch hour, plus driving time to our new location, to drop off the first two trucks loads of items. When we arrived at our old house to pick up the second load, it was getting quite late. Once their trucks was full, they began throwing items into the back of our car and truck, on top of the fragile items that we had placed there ourselves. Around 11 p.m. that night, they came to us and said that they were tired and his men were refusing to work any longer. By this time the new owners had showed up and were freaking out. They still had another good truck load of items to go, including a 1,500 BBQ pit in the back yard. I asked if they could come back the next morning to finish the job, and they said no, they had other jobs scheduled, and we would have to wait until Monday. The people we sold the house to weren't about to wait until then, and were laying claim to anything we left behind. I had to hire someone else to meet me there on Sunday while the new owners were at church, to reclaim my BBQ pit, pot plants, ladders, storage bins, and various other items. The other things that we had left in the garage, the new owners told us we could leave there and pick up later, had vanished into their house by Sunday and we lost about $2,000 at least in items they had laid claim to. If they had moved all of the furniture on Monday, like we had asked, we wouldn't have lost a thing. They tried blaming it on us because we didn't have all of the boxes sealed when they showed up, but when I pointed out that the pit, and other items that could not be packed, and needed to be loaded as stand alone items were left behind, he didn't have much to say. I take that back. He said "if we didn't pay him for the full job, he'd call the police for theft of services." This was in response to us wanting to hold only enough money to ensure they would show back up for all the stuff they had left behind. They didn't have bad personalities, they were just more concerned with studying for their upcoming tests, than they were with doing a good job. Their four to five hour job estimate was a joke, considering the condition they showed up with in on Friday, after a full week of work. The owner was running this one crew too hard, and didn't send enough trucks to move a house of our size. I would not recommend them to anyone, unless they are only moving out of an apartment, which is on the bottom floor. My seventy-five year old mother, who's items they were moving, suffered health effects from the stress of dealing with them and losing her possessions. It took her a good two weeks to get back on her feet good. My mother is the one who is actually signed up for your services, but we live together and I was present for the entire move. Sincerely, Terri Hartman Daughter of your client.

I was not happy with them. They moved a few pieces of furniture and boxes. They scratched our floors and a few boxes got lost which showed a lack of effort on their part. They fought with me about the floor even though it was clearly scratched. They did nothing to apologize about the missing boxes. They were not paying attention when moving my mom into her new apartment.
