The Lawn Sprinkler Guy

I called on Monday and made an appointment Friday for 8:00-8:30 a.m. John arrived on-time Friday morning, identified the issue and went to work to replace the valve. John also did a complete inspection of all zones and helped identify sprinkler heads that were either not operating properly or were leaking - replacing heads where necessary. John was also very professional and pleasant and provided a much needed lesson on my irrigation system.

He reset it, checked every sprinkler head and replaced two without an additional charge. I felt very comfortable with him and he was a very nice guy.

Mr. John Flores even repaired some bad work done by a company we used last year.

John was excellent to include the original estimate to the work and after care. He was extremely helpful in helping us not only choose a system but also one that worked the best with our landscape and future plans. He developed a system that best worked to meet our yards individual needs. John was great at working with us to meet after our normal work hour and accomodated our busy schedules. He is flexible, nice, honest, hardworking and someone I would highly recommend to all.

I had called John thinking that I had some bad valves. John agreed to be at my house at 8AM and he was right on time. He went right to work and found that I had an issue with water pressure coming from the water meter. He adjusted the pressure regulator to the appropriate level which helps both for the sprinkler system and for inside the house as well. After this he began looking for other problems with the system and fixed them one by one. He was very knowledgeable, courteous, and had a great work ethic. His customer service is excellent.

John was outstanding from start to finish. He was great at answering and responding to calls. He scheduled the initial visit within just a few days and the follow up visit was also scheduled in just a couple days. He was accurate with his estimate. He was cheerful, polite and professional. The quality of his work was top notch. We'd use his services again without hesitation and recommend him without reservation.

He seemed to be so knowledgeable regarding the type of sprinkler heads needed for different areas. Did not take him a long time. He was right on time and I was very pleased. He has given me a verbal bid for additional system in the front.

He came first to assess the situation, gave me an estimate and came back the next week with the parts needed to finish the job.

I called John when another company never showed up. First he told me it would be next week before he could get to the job, then called back and said he'd had a cancellation. He came out and assessed the situation yesterday, then went to get the necessary parts to fix the system. He came back this morning, replaced the leaking parts of the valves and replaced the broken sprinkler heads. Finally he checked all the zones and made sure the rest of the system was working correctly.

Of the 3 companies we called John was the only one to return our call. He did great work and completed the job in a timely manor. He was on time, very friendly and easy to talk to about the project.

I found John on Angie's List website and called him about 1 week in advance. He told me that if I need him in the future, even if it's in the middle of the summer, he can probably get to me within one or two days. I'm very pleased with his work - I think my sprinkler is operating better than it has in several years. John was very friendly and knowledgeable, and was happy to answer any questions I had.

He was really good. He found the problem right away. It was something we had been looking for on our own and never would have figured out. He knew it would be over by the ring gage. He just found it right away, fixed it and was gone in about an hour. He recommended we get a different kind of ring gage and he said he could install it for a couple hundred dollars or we could get one and install it. It was a pretty easy install which my husband and I did.

John was excellent. He returned my call the same day and a couple of days later he was at my front door. I had repaired a broken pipe and in the process gotten some dirt in the pipe. While he was there he noticed that there was another leak in what seemed to be the main line to the house. Obviously he couldn't have all the parts with him, when he came back out I was out of town at the time, but he fixed my "repair" and the broken valve. Additionally, he fixed the leak in the main line!!!! He said that he really wanted to know what was going on and so he dug up the leak and found that it was just a broken coupling. He saved me so much time, headache and money, I can't express how grateful I am. I've told all my friends about him and vowed to never touch another sprinkler - I'm calling John every time. He has been very understanding and works with us regarding pricing and timing. He always shows up when he says he will and the work is completed in a professional manner.

John showed up exactly when he said he would, quickly diagnosed and corrected the problem, and charged a very reasonable price.

Professional, knowledgeable, punctual, reasonable and friendly--what more could you ask? When John was working on the irrigation maintenance, he discovered that the water pressure was very high. He came back at my first available time, about 3 days later, and installed the pressure reducing valve with one year's warranty. Again, punctual, professional, knowledgeable, reasonable and friendly. I definitely will use The Sprinkler Guy again. (He is far superior to, and much more conscientious than, a larger company that I had used once previously.)

I used John's company based on the reviews provided by the Angie's List subscribers. John arrived on time and was ready to get to work. He repaired two sprinkler heads in the front beds and repaired a leak in the backyard. John analyzed the water flows to all of my zones and provided advice for improvement. John was a pleasure to work with. I will definitely use his services in the future.

It was a very positive experience from beginning to end. We called the Lawn Sprinkler Guy for a quote. He gave a quote, and we made an appointment. He arrived on time, and did the requires quickly and professionally. He was extremely courteous and friendly.

The company that originally installed the irrigation system didn't explain to us how to use it or even how to operate it. John came out and changed the heads (to above-ground for our bedding plants), gave me a manual and explained how everything worked... as an added bonus he even gave me some great advice about some of my new plants that were recently installed by a landscaping company. Great service!

I have used Angie's list for years and have found some great service providers and John Flores is definitely one of those! I sent John an email over the week-end and he promptly answered that he would call on Monday. He called Monday morning just as he promised and we set up an Appointment for Thursday morning at 8am. He arrived right on time and was very courteous and easy to talk to. He went right to work checking out the different zones and coverage of each sprinkler head. He repaired the two obvious leaks and replaced the heads that were no longer working properly. He was very knowledgeable about water conservation and how long to water each area. He answered all my questions and showed me how to adjust the controls to provide exactly what the plants needed for the fall/winter season. I will definitely be calling The Lawn Sprinkler Guy for all my irrigation needs!

We inherited this old sprinkler system when we bought the house. Who ever installed it did not know what they were doing, but we rely on John Flores to keep it together and running. He can figure out what is wrong and his prices are reasonable.

John made two trips out to the property. He coordinated with the tenants and was very punctual and professional. On his first trip out to replace the sprinkler control box, he tried to save the box by replacing the fuse. He already had this part on hand, so was a good idea to give it a try. Once the control box was connected, it shorted again. John figured out it was the rain sensor connected to the box that was causing the problem. John then shopped for a new control box and kept me in the loop with the costs. He recommended against reconnecting the rain sensor, and instead purchased a new control box with a surge protector. He made a second trip out there to replace the box. He also made some other recommendations. John warranted his labor and the unit himself. John was very knowledgeable, responsive and reliable.

Found this company on Angie's List. Spoke with John and we set an appointment. He called the day before to confirm the time and then called to start an hour earlier. John looked at the problem and explained what was needed and gave me a price before starting. He finished and showed me that all was working. He also gave me a quote on replacing other heads to the more efficient type. John is very personable and did a good job. I will use him in the future and recommend him to others.

He was efficient and knowledgeable, and got the job done quickly.

He was very prompt and articulate. He was very helpful. He came to the conclusion that we didn't need any work done. He was honest and concluded that the problem will fix itself.

John did an excellent job in fixing my sprinkler system. John was very friendly, punctual and very knowledgeable. He pinpointed the problem (which was electrical) in no time and fixed it just as fast. I highly recommend John for any lawn sprinkler problem you may have. I'll also add that I had contacted several companies before John's and all of them were booked up for at least one month. Suffice to say my lawn would have been totally dead by then. John was able to work me in to his busy scheduled. I would never have known about John without Angie's List. Thank you very much.
