I had a good experience with them. With our past experiences, we've been very satisfied. We'd probably gonna use them again. They're very professional and fair priced. I'd give them an A on all categories.

The first impression was fantastic. The sales person was very informative and then, once the crew showed up, things changed. I spent a good 45 minutes walking the property with the sales person as he identified the right limbs to come down. Well, when the crew showed up, they wanted me to walk them around the property and tell them which limbs needed to come down. How was I to remember? You see, the sales person indicated our last jobs resulted in an "over-pruning" of our trees and, as such, he was very particular as to which limbs were appropriate for removal. I was not pleased. Then, the left without completing the job and simply drove off. I had to contact the sales person the next day to find out when they were going to finish the work. He apologized and said the parts to cable a few limbs were out of stock. Well, here is where matters got worse. Davey Tree starts to call me and send me notes stating I was failing to pay my bill to them. I reminded them their own sales person was crystal clear in that I do not pay a dime until the job is done. I understood the first time it happened, but then I began to get "collection" sounding letters. I was furious. Finally, the local staff called me again looking for money. I lost it. They did FINALLY complete the job, but I was left feeling that we had grossly overpaid for the level of service and professionalism we received. The only thing I heard were lukewarm apologies after excuses were shared. UPDATE: I would be remiss if I did not update this review by stating the response I received from Davey's was exceptional. They took my concerns to heart, did not attempt to feed me with a bunch of excuses and owned the situation. I believe them when they say my experience is not what other customers typically experience. This was an unfortunate series of missteps. Davey took care of me by doing something I never requested or expected - a refund. Will I be back to try them again, in the future? ABSOLUTELY! It isn't often today that a business falls on their sword and simply attempts to right a wrong.

They were very good. They were friendly, on time, and seemed very knowledgeable. I had someone else in town that was coming in to do it for less. They also seemed very reliable.

Davey tree service is amazing. Mark Mann came out to give us an estimate, and he is so knowledgeable and a pleasure to work with. The team came out to do the job, and the three guys were friendly, professional, and my kids loved watching the process. They were efficient, and cleaned up EVERYTHING. There were so many branches and debris in my yard that they had to haul away; I thought there was no way that they'd get it all cleaned up, but they did. The trees and yard look great, the front yard and street were all picked up, and it was a great process from start to finish. This is a terrific company and they really know what they're doing.

They came and gave an estimate first and discussed exactly what should be done. They showed up on time and were very professional in their work. They were flexible for minor changes in the work and checked with me as they went along. They cleaned up everything and completed the job in less than half a day. Their people obviously know what they are doing.

Arborist was professional, informative, and courteous. Detailed estimate was completed. Tree was scheduled and planted as promised. Overall a great job done. I'll be a repeat customer!

They have a very prompt service and also the pricing was reasonable. When they quote, they stick to the quote and I'm impressed with their ability to clean up. They have a good crew and good equipment. Within 24 hours after ripping down a 40 foot tree, you can't even tell that they were there.

The company representative, Thomas Sillitoe, came out on 12/30/2013, assessed the situation and determined they needed to come out the next morning to remove a huge limb that was dangerously close to my roof and trim the balance of my trees. They arrived promptly at 8:00 AM the next morning and had the tree limb completely removed within three hours. I was extremely relieved and appreciative of their concern for me and my home. In addition, they trimmed and thinned out over a dozen oak trees to allow more light into the yard and garden. I was very impressed with how carefully and safely the crew removed a limb 14 inches in diameter without damaging my roof or shrubs. They did a great job, asked if I wanted anything else done several times during the day and then cleaned up and hauled away all the limbs and debris lying in the yard. Since then, I've recommended Davey Trees to all my friends and family and will definitely hire them again.

They were wonderful. They arrived on time even though it was a bit icy on the roads. Three men came and worked on our large tree most of the day. Tim came out and gave them special instructions for our very large tree in order to keep the overall shape of the tree. They consulted with us during the cutting to be sure they were cutting the large tree the way we wanted it done. They cleaned up their mess and you could not even tell they had been there cutting trees except the trees looked wonderful. We will defintely use them again. They know what they are doing and want to keep the trees looking good and healthy.

The crew did a great job I was very impressed with the quality of their work. They were efficient and did not leave a mess. Thomas is an absolute expert and I learned a lot about trees in the time that I spent talking with him. The ONLY reason I give them a "B" is because it took five weeks for them to come back and grind the stumps. I was initially told that it would be about one week. This was during the holidays, but I still think five weeks is excessive. Communication about when to expect the stumps to be ground was lacking. I found out the stumps were ground when I got the bill in the mail. I admittedly am not in the back yard often. Yet. I would recommend them and would be happy to use them again. I might just ask for a better timeline up front.

The job took a crew of 3 men about 6 hours. They arrived early, worked straight through, were very professional, and did a great job of cleaning the site. I was very pleased and would use them again.

Tom came on time and gave us a written estimate. The work was done as scheduled. They did a beautiful job and cleaned up well after the job. We are very happy with the service they provided and will use them again.

Arrived on time, worked very hard with one short break in morning and afternoon and 30 minute lunch. Very professional. Another tree company told me it was three days work and priced it accordingly. Davey knocked it out in one long day. These folks are professionals and work safely. Davey is my go-to tree company.

They were definitely timely and they completed their work quickly. They removed all of the debris. They even came out on a Saturday and didn't charge us an extra fee for working on the weekend.

I have a live oak tree in the yard. I thought one of the branches were too low and I wanted to make sure it wouldn't cause problems. They were prompt, polite and their services were as expected.

These guys are great. This is my third time to use Davey's and I have never been disappointed nor have I ever had any complaints whatsoever. Davey's workers are true professionals and it's a pleasure to watch them work. This job involved removing a very large tree that was dying with no hope of being saved. There were numerous landscape plantings near the trunk and in fact some ornamentals were touching the trunk. They removed the tree to ground level and never touched any of my plantings. My wife and I marveled at the total lack of any damage to our plantings. Their crew's cleanup was excellent. They even cleaned up some cuttings I had made trimming some shrubs. I give Davey's my highest recommendations and will definitely hire them for future tree work.

Professional, took their time to talk with me regarding my trees and pruning. Spent all the time needed to answer all my questions. Called to tell me he would be 30 minutes later than appointment. Much appreciated.

The work itself was very professional. There was a delay between the trimming and stump removal but it was not an issue. Thomas Silletoe, the arborist, is a real professional and a pleasure to work with.

From the first phone contact to schedule an appointment, Davey Tree Company exceeded my expectations in professionalism, promptness, friendliness and customer service. The arborist, Tim, was very thorough in his estimate and responsive to my concerns about trimming my oaks since I live in "oak wilt" territory. I felt the estimated price was fair and well within the scale I anticipated, and the actual work wound up being done about 3 weeks after the estimate was completed. Since I was in no rush, that timing was fine with me. Tim was not able to accompany the 3-man crew on the day of the pruning, but I pointed out to the team leader another tree with a dead limb that I'd only noticed after the initial estimate. They took care of that limb, too, without adding to the cost of the project! My only concern with the job was that the crew cut away much more of the post oak's healthy, green-leaved limbs than I had discussed with Tim. There was an obvious miscommunication between Tim and the crew, but when I made Tim aware of the extreme pruning that had occurred, he came back out to check the tree and reassure me of its continued health. Plus, he noted that a limb that is interfering with my satellite dish had not been cut back as discussed and committed to returning personally to cut it back. This company is a wonderful example of what a responsible, responsive contractor should be and I will definitely call them for future needs!!!

It went fine. They were very good. Tom, the head guy came out shortly after I called, and gave me a free estimate. He obviously is an experienced arborist, as he gave me recommendations on how to trim and also about a bush that was infested w/worms. He was very pleasant. I hired the company because of the good recommendations i read on Angie's list and because i saw them doing some work in my subdivision. Within 2 days after giving me the estimate (I hired them on the spot as i thought the estimate was reasonable), the main office called and scheduled the trimming. It was within two weeks of when i got the estimate. Two workers came out and did the work in about a half day. They were very pleasant and courteous. They rang the doorbell for me to come out and look at the finished product and asked if they could do anything else. Tom also came out during the work to inspect. He also procured the required permit ahead of time and brought it over before the work started. They cleaned everything up and hauled the brush away. I was very happy with the work and the entire experience.

I got them off Angie's List and they did a good job. They got after it, did a real good job, he kept after it with a machine, and went after it for 3 hours. They were 40 feet high. They did the job within a couple of days and I was surprised how cheap it was.

I like their Arborist. He was very knowledgeable and understood that the entire job couldn't be done all at once because of the price. Their crew is just awesome and did a wonderful job cleaning up. I would use them again.

I highly recommend this excellent company. The crew was proficient and extremely talented at their job. They were cautious around other plantings and yard furniture. They moved or covered items where necessary. They worked two full days and two half days. At the end of each days work they thoroughly cleaned the areas they had worked. Not a twig nor leaf remained on the ground. At the end of the first day, my wife walked out in the yard and commented, "this is what a professional job should look like." I totally agree.
