Description of Work: We had our oak trees that are in our backyard trimmed. Branches were trimmed away from the house, the canopy was lifted, and the ball moss was aggressively removed. We have used them before, with great results, and that is why we called them again. They are very professional and were very careful with "fragiles," moving birdbaths, furniture, and plants, to avoid damaging them. We will use them again when it's time to trim the front yard trees.

Description of Work: This company was recommended to me by Milberger's Nursery. They did an excellent job of trimming our trees. They also did an excellent job of cleaning up afterwards. The workers wore helmets and used ropes when climbing the trees...and they are insured....all things that made us feel more comfortable when they worked in our yard.

Description of Work: Davey Tree's estimator was punctual for both our appointments. The crew who did the work were punctual and very efficient, finishing before I had estimated that they would. We had 2 trees that were topped of all their limbs but never removed from the ground. They were over 8' tall and had died years earlier. Davey's crew cut them into sections, loaded them onto a trailer to haul away, and ground the stumps into the earth. Some of the groundup material was spread around the new trees in the yard to mulch them. Davey also planted a 12' oak sapling later that afternoon with a different crew. We also had a triple fungus problem with last year's baby tree; they sprayed it to kill the fungus (3 treatments, 2 weeks apart). The tree improved noticeably within one week's time. We have since made other appointments to have them do work and to continue making sure that all our baby trees grow into healthy adults. We would recommend Davey Tree Expert to anyone who needs professional care with trees and shrubs.

Description of Work: the HOA told the homeowners that they were using Davey tree company for "expert advice". We never saw the company. My trees were never trimmed and I had to pay another company to trim my live oaks. My yard has NEVER been fertilized so I am doing this myself. I don't know if the HOA is lying or Davey Tree company---but I suggest that Davey quit "working" for Brentwood Common HOA.

Description of Work: They started the job over two weeks ago and haven't returned to complete it. Whenever I call the office I'm told they will call me when they will be returning. They where prompt to start the job and I want them to finish, but no response! Used them in the past, not any more!

Description of Work: Davey's Tree Service was great. When I called they had a sales rep call me right back and set an appt for the next morning. They did everything they said and were very punctual. They were more expensive but they took out a permit for Hollywood park and were bonded and insured. The work was excellent and they did a good job of cleaning up. They even fertilized the trees after ward. I would use them again anytime.

Description of Work: Bid was for seven large limbs cut (Live Oaks) one very large cedar elm limb cut, clear around roof to 5 to 6 feet. Workers arrived on time, confirmed work to be done, and began working immediately. Thomas arrived to check on progress and confirm work to be done during the work day. Yard was cleaned of wood and trunks at the end of the job. Yard was in great shape and clean. Excellent service, work and completion at original bid price. Rating excellent. Note: With all the tree service observed in my area, Davey was the only one that "sealed" every cut on the live oak trees. This is very important in our area because of the "oak wilt" problem in the hill country and San Antonio. Highly recommend Davey Tree and Shrub service.
