Structure Builders Over Texas

I called this company yesterday (9/25/2013) and could not get past the person answering the phone. They took my phone number and said another person would call me back. That never happened so I called them again today and got the same story from the person answering the phone. They said someone else would call me back later in the day. I told them I considered this bad customer service and I would take my business elsewhere and then I hung up. How can a business expect to stay in business when they completely ignore new customers? It doesn't make sense!

The owner came out and he gave us a very good estimate, he is very knowledgeable about his product( hardy siding.) he explained product installation& durability, painting and clean up very thoroughly .He is very professional& punctual. We signed the contract and will be having the service done in Oct.-Nov. Will let you knowhow it goes.

We are very happy with Structure Builders and Rudy Paiz. The relationship from the beginning was professional, friendly and courteous. The crews were a delight to have around the home. They were respectful of my wife and cautious with my young boys. We had an idea for a project and they filled in the blanks bringing a vision to reality with the complexity and attention to detail of craftsmen. No project is seamless and easy, but nothing was a problem for them. They wasted no time and worked incredibly hard. If there was something that I didn?t quite like, they fixed it. We have our contractor for any project we have in the future. No doubt. With absolute confidence I recommend this company to anyone. Not because we have a great result, but because of the business model and ethic of the ownership and the crews. We are very, very happy with the new patio cover. From completion, we have used the new space every day. We have converted a space formerly unusable to a space that can be used in the hottest of days. The quality of work is exceptional. They know what they are doing. Every day I reviewed the progress of the day upon my return from work. At every turn, when I had a question or concern, they received the inquiry with patience and timeliness. Invariably, at every turn, my concerns would have been answered if I had waited an extra day to allow them to finish the task but they responded to my questions regardless that night and as late as I sent a text or e-mail. The finish details can be described as well integrated, thoughtful and correct. Our family, friends and neighbors have been amazed by the scope of the project and the quality of the execution. Feedback has ranged from, ?Wow!? and ?Amazing!? to ?This is incredible!? We have been told that the investment will be at a minimum fully realized in home value and the added appeal, would accelerate the sale significantly (Should we ever move).

Structure Builders did a wonderful job for us. They were courteous,professional, and with great attention to detail. The painters did a great job and the workmen cleaned up all scraps and bits of wood left in the yard. We would certainly use S B to do any other work we need accomplished in our home.

I was very pleased with their professionalism. They were such gentleman and very kind. They took care of our needs.

I was very impressed with Mr. Rudy Paiz's professionalism, knowledge and patience with me in explaining every aspect of what his recommendations were for my patio cover and other projects. I had just lost my husband very recently, and was a little emotional as this project was one that we had been wanting to have done for a long time, but just didn't know who to trust to do it. I've heard some horror stories from some of my neighbors where they hired two companies..one to fix the problem from the first and his work didn't resolve the issue either. I will definitely use his company as soon as I am ready to have this structure built and the other much needed projects done!

They had a very bad follow through. It was the office manager who said she would have somebody but nobody ever did. They have nice people but bad follow through. I had a major house renovation. I did not use them. They were on time and courteous.

Rudy Paiz was wonderful! He immediately responded gave a clear estimate and exploained what we could expect. Although we got lower estimates for the work, we felt we were dealing with a true professional in him. We made a good choice. There was a little delay with the city permit but it worked out fine. The installation team(David and sons) was excellent. They worked at a steady pace and were very neat. We feel the finished product is the best carport in the neighborhood! We plan to do some kitchen renovations and we will call Rudy first.

Bought a foreclosure but hubby had no room for his "stuff." There was an existing basketball court slab, 4 inches thick, not thick enough to sustain a building. No one would undertake the project because of the complex nature to build up the slab. Structure Builders had a fantastic plan and in no time had the slab built up to sustain a building and covered patio. The owner, Rudy Paiz, went beyond the code of construction by drilling deeper footings than required, ensuring a sound building. We eventually built: 1. A 20 x 25 man cave with wonderfully secure windows. 2. A 20 x 25 workshop with a 10 x 8 roll up door. We initially had some problems with this "unusual" door but Mr Paiz came up with a wonderful solution to make the door weather tight and to date I have had no problems with it. He even went beyond what we asked and poured a slab outside the door so we could pull in items such as lawn mowers, etc. 3. A 20 x 40 covered patio with the most beautiful outdoor ceiling I have ever seen for a covered patio. Simply unbelievable (wish I could upload pictures). Mr Paiz knew we were going "Green" and had installed radiant barrier over the man cave and shop. Wow, what a difference that made. I don't even have to run the air, which by the way, he installed as a last minute request. We also had an energy efficient metal roof put on the building and also on our existing house. We compared other roofer's prices for a standing seam metal roof and Structure Builders had the BEST PRICE. This roof is very energy efficient and we are now catching rain water and even morning dew from our roofs. We were having a pool built and retaining walls at the same time and Mr Paiz noticed that crew taking some short cuts and made me aware of it. Thank you, that really saved us money and lots of headaches. However, the crew was just a little bit messier than I would like to have seen but once again, Mr Paiz saw to it that everything was spic and span at the end of the construction. I even saw him inspecting the yard for debris (looking through my window). Although the project was located downslope from our home, Mr Paiz's attention to details made it fit perfectly with the pool area and the color and style of our home. My husband is now the envy of all the men in the neighborhood. This is a very professional company and I would highly recommend them. I would use them again in a heartbeat. .

Rudy was always on time, polite and very well informed. He provided clear and quick estimates and addressed any issues I had not considered so that everything was included in the original bid. I paid 1/3 upfront to get on the schedule (6 week wait), however this check was not cashed until the work was started. I did not pay any additional installments until the work was completed. I truly appreciated the upfront manner of the payment schedule. The work was begun and completed in a timely manner (and there were several rain delays). The few issues encountered during construction were quickly addressed and solved with an eye to consideration towards me as the customer. All the people who worked on my house were professional, prompt and efficient. I draw particular attention to the painter who was truly outstanding and efficient and the team that installed the soffit, fascia and columns that did a great job of adapting the products and columns to my house. There was not any markup for travel even though they drove in from San Antonio. Bottom line: Structure Builders was easy to work with, very efficient, honest, direct, and the result is beautiful. I will hire them again as well recommend them to both friends and family. As an aside, I had a truly horrible contractor experience prior to hiring Structure Builders and can not express how nice it is to feel comfortable with your contractor and crew.

The job began on 2/18/2013 and was completed on 3/2/2013.

Everything from the tear down of the initial structure to the completion of the building went extremely well. The employees assigned to the various jobs were professional, courteous and more than willing to answer questions and they bent over backwards to address any issues or requests. Rudy Paiz was on the spot at any time we had a question and even gave us his cell number to call at any time. Both he and Eddie were fabulous. They cared about how the project was constructed, how the construction was actually accomplished and listened to every request and idea we had. I would definitely recommend Structure Builders for any remodeling job or siding job.

Had Structure Builders look job over and provide an estimate. Due to Christmas holidays it took longer than expected to get a proposal from them. However, they did do a good job with the estimate. Once the job was started, Structure Builders did a great job in putting up the siding and installing the windows and door. I had to keep asking for the proposal and ended up pretty much writing it myself. Even so I would definitely recommend Structure Builders to do any work you may need.

They were more concerned with finishing my project and rushing to another job rather than doing my job correctly. He didn't fix the front door to seal correctly. The front door has a crack where the light comes in and he never fixed it. I had asked him to replace my triangular vents with octogon ones; they brought the vents but left them in my yard and never installed them! They also didn't install hardy planks on the underhang as agreed. He just painted over it - and it was in the contract to be replaced. He has yet to follow up with me about my lack of satisfaction about the job. Once he got all of his money, he never checked back with me.

Before deciding to contract Structure Builders for our siding project, we met with two other companies as well, to get estimates and find out the scope of our project. I personally researched the product on the James Hardee website and called the corporate office to verify some of the information given by Structure Builders. Everything was on the up and up. Several reasons we chose Structure Builders for our project were, professionalism, knowledge of the product, fair price and warranty. Everyday the jobsite was cleaned and all trash hauled away. The workers took pride in their work and since I am mostly home during the day, made sure that the job proceeded to my satisfaction. We would definitely recommed Structure Builders to our family, friends and neighbors, and have already done so.

He wasn't very professional. He seemed shady. He didn't write anything down. He didn't follow through. He wanted to put up the siding over our asbestos siding. He was talking bad about the other companies.

When/if I ever have any more remodeling they get the job! Rudy Paiz is professional, courteous, trustworthy, and knows his business. His people are knowledgeable and the work is excellent. All repair/remodeling jobs have points at which communication or expectations between the homeowner and the contractor or staff are inconsistent. I know because we have had work done on the house before. Every time we contacted Mr. Paiz, he responded and every single issue was resolved to mutual satisfaction. If this sounds a bit too good to be true, I thought it could be when we started. My husband is very exacting about work done on the house and we had heard horror stories about the outcomes. Bottom line ? I never thought my house could look so lovely and I am extremely thankful that we were able to work with someone like Rudy Paiz and his company Structure Builders.

I was very happy with the experience. They were professional and follow up well. They also called to explain they will follow up the beginning of next year to check if I am ready to do the job. I have decided to hold off on the project but I might use them when I decide to perform the work later.

Very well, the workman were very proficient and knowledgeable about working with the product. They were polite and responsive to our requests. The only glitch was with the building supply company who misinformed Structure Builders that the product was in San Antonio when in fact not all was so there was a delay in delivery.

After researching some trusted local construction companies we got estimates from several different co's. Structure Builders estimate came in mid-range: we had a few quotes that were higher and a few that were lower but in the end we decided to go with Structure Builders because we were the most comfortable with their credentials as well as high recommendations from previous customers. I couldn't be happier with their level of professionalism and eagerness to please and the end result looks better than my husband and I could've imagined! From the time we got their estimate to the time they were done, I was happy with the progress. The owner, Rudy Paiz, really cares about his customers, that was evident to me throughout the process. If I had any questions I just called their office to ask and the staff treated me so well. I highly recommend Structure Builders of San Antonio! I really don't have any complaints about their work...the contractors showed up and did the work promised in a timely fashion. They originally gave me an estimated start date and they stayed within that range. (It rained a lot during our job so they had to wait for dry weather to continue, but they still managed to get over to our house as much as they possibly could've that week!) I would encourage people to go with Structure Builders because of the quality of work, professionalism and top rated materials they provide.

I was very impressed with Structure Builder's owner Rudy Paez's professionalism both when he came to give me an estimate and that he came to introduce the workmen the day they did the work.. When the job was completed I had a question, and he returned to answer my question and make sure I was completely satisfied. Both the window installers and the carpenters were courteous and very good at their jobs. I'm very happy with the job they did and with the Simonton windows that were installed. I will definitely call Structure Builders again when I have another home improvement project to do.

We had obtained several estimates from 3 reputable companies. We decided on Structure Builders based on our satisfaction in the way they had installed our insulated windows (a different project completed in October 2010) for our entire house. Mr. Paiz was very professional in his presentation as well as answering all our concerns and explaining all our options. A timetable was set for the 6-7 sperate projects that were to be completed within a 4 month period plus allowing downtime for weather conditions. Work on the carport was started earlier between Christmas & New Years, after inspection by city, carport was completed. The roof was the next item. Meanwhile we had gone over the new kitchen diagram for custom built cabinets that were to be construct-ed by Structure Builders' cabinet to our specifications. Removing the interior brick wall that separated dining room and kitchen was next. While this was not a retaining wall, Mr. Paiz had his construction engineer look in the attic. Mr. Paiz recommended adding extra support that he provided at cost. Painting of the combined dining/new kitchen area and living (den) area continued until completion. The Bathroom remodeling was next followed by the music library room. Needless to say that throughout the entire span of remodeling, etc. Structure Builders' various crews were very courteous, hard working and knowledgeable in their respective crafts. Not all was roses----there were times that spouse forgot that we had talked about the inconveniences that are experienced when attempting a huge project of this magnitude. When it was all over we were both very satisfied and happy that we had decided to let Structure Builders do all the projects. Words of advice: It doesn't matter how much time you plan and research everything you are to do----there will be something that you forget, luckily working with Rudy Paiz was a blessing as He was very responsive to our needs and concerns.

The representative quoted estimates for 2 different types of carports, but did not send them to me in writing. I called the following week to request the written estimates from the representative, but was unable to speak with him. The person I spoke with emailed the estimate by the next morning, but it was only for one type of carport and the price did not agree with the original oral estimate for that type. I did not feel comfortable doing business with this company.

It went very well!! It took longer than expected because of weather. WE are happy with the work!!

They did a pretty good job, I didn't care for the chalking around the windows, it didn't look very good. Other than that, I like the windows and they were professional. They came out promptly. The price was the middle of the road, about what you pay for windows. I didn't feel gouged, they are very professional and thorough.
