Stain Concepts has as its normal customer base professional tradesmen in the concrete and concrete staining industry. They also sell their products to the general public. Because their focus is supplying products to professionals, their operating hours are not convenient for do-it-yourselfers who have regular 7:30 to 4:30 jobs--since they are only open from 7:30 to 4:30 and on Saturday mornings. Their products performed as advertised, but I had an issue where the stain would not penetrate in some areas of the concrete patio I was staining and sought their advice on how to overcome it. They gave advice, but as I generally had to race to get to the store before they closed, it didn't seem--to me--that they gave much thought to it since they were trying to close up for the day. The advice usually consisted of "Have you tried this? Well, you might try that" or "I've never seen anything like that--you might want to hire a professional". Needless to say, I understand they are not in the advice or consultation business, but I stained that patio three times to little effect before deciding I was just going to live with it. As I said, their products performed as advertised and I have no problem recommending them to any do-it-yourself type with a straightforward project--preferably on new concrete, where you just need to read the instructions and apply the material.

He followed up a couple of times during our remodeling. We asked him to call us back in a couple of months when our remodel was complete. We scheduled a time for him to call and provide us an estimate for the work. He never called back to confirm the appointment and come out and measure the area. This was an Angies special that we paid for and never received the benefit of even an estimate.

It was okay. They were fairly good. They were fine. I think that the overall price is maybe a little high but I had them do some other work. They were good. They were very quick and they were pretty thorough.

Derek did a great job, was on time, delivered as promised and followed up to take care of a few minor concerns I had. Great job.

I needed to get the concrete of my rental property seen to promptly in order to get it on the market and rented out to new tenants. However, there was a major complication: whatever had been done to the concrete previously was not disclosed when I purchased the property several years ago. The floor was exceedingly damaged with large patches of discoloration, spots where plastic had in turn fused/bonded to the ground, large varying splotches colors of throughout, all topped off with a general look of disrepair. When I hire someone from Angie?s list I generally get bids from three different companies that already have many reviews and very high rankings, also the recent reviews are taken into account so not only the overall rating is looked at. I was most impressed with Brandon. He not only called me back the same day, he promptly set up an appointment with me and was very communicative regarding confirming the appointment as well as letting me know when he was on his way to meet me for the initial bid/discussion. He was prompt, professional, and pleasant/user friendly throughout every interaction. Upon seeing the property, he informed me that the level of beautification/repair that could be done was based on my budget and end goal. He helped clearly spell out the different routes that could be taken to breathe new life into the dilapidated flooring. His quote was better than the other options I sought out and he was congenial throughout every interaction. Brandon was very attentive, giving multiple updates concerning the status of the project as well as making it clear that the quality of the work was his number one priority tied only with customer satisfaction. Brandon made sure to deliver the best product for the best price for me, I have no doubt. Before the original job was completed Brandon informed us of an additional option that would really help put the finishing touches on what we wanted done. He quoted a price that clearly had him taking a bit of a hit profit wise but explained why this final step would make the property shine. The project finished within the expected time and looks better than I could ever have hoped. Years from now we will be contacting Brandon for maintenance to this concrete in question and I will not hesitate to choose him again nor will I waste time pricing other options if I ever have work that needs to be done that falls within his area of expertise. This is the concrete stainer/flooring expert to go with, you will be thankful every day you interact with him and every time you look at whatever your finished product is.

The description of the Deal wasn't accurate, spoke with Stain Concepts and the job wasn't for $49 but for around $4,000.

Brandon is the owner of stain concepts and he jumped on this project immediately. He and Patrick, a Stain Concepts installer tech, did the acid wash and prepared the garage floor for the epoxy. The epoxy was supposed to be applied the next day but unfortunately the temperature outside was hovering below 40 degrees which made it to cold for the epoxy to be applied successfully. We waited for the weather to get warmer and Patrick came and applied the epoxy as promised once the temperature was an acceptable level. The broadcast of flakes was considered moderate to heavy. I also bought the showroom sealer which really makes the floor absolutely shine. Patrick came in the following day and applied the sealer. I was advised to wait 72 hours before driving any vehicles on the epoxy surface to give it time to adhere well with the cement. Also, don't expect already existing cracks in the cement to not show when the epoxy dries. Brandon, did warn me about that possible issue before Patrick put the epoxy down. The flakes do help hide the cracks to a point but they are still visible. After the floor was finished, I noticed some spots where Patrick had missed with the show room sealer. I talked to Brandon and he immediately had Patrick come back out and fix whatever issues I brought to his attention. He came within 48 hours and brought lights with him so he could see exactly what he had missed. Patrick, apologized that he had missed some spots but wanted to make sure I was happy when he was done. He went ahead and resealed the entire garage floor again and it looks great.

Great job! They performed the work very quickly and did a beautiful job.

Stain Concepts owner responded promptly to my call for a bid. He came to my house when he said he would. Work was also started in a timely manner. His employee stained the deck rail first and it looked great. However, when the owner stained the upper concrete pad they did nothing to keep the concrete stain off of the newly stained railing, the storm door or the gutter down spouts. The end result is the railing has the concrete color stain splattered all over it. I am also unable to get the stain off the storm door or down spouts. The concrete pad itself looks good. The lower concrete pad does not look near as good. The stain was not carried out to the edges making it very obvious where the stain was not applied. I called the owner to come out to address this issue, but he never called or came back. I even let him know that a piece of their power washer was left at my house. Still no response.

It was really good. Overall it was excellent. The service, the communication and the end result is excellent. I haven't had any issues with cracking and peeling in my garage floor. It has a beautiful finish. The service was great. I had a couple of issues that they came back to work on. The only complaint that I would have was that they were not willing to move the larger items such as the water softener. They were not willing to put any effort in helping me, a single woman, move the large items. I didn't compare their price.

He was rude to me on the phone, argued with me about how much each square foot would cost, argued with me about the fine print of the deal, I thought his prices were really high and he told me if I find someone cheaper I will get what I paid for.

He is entirely to high on pricing. Did not use.

I purchased a big deal from them and they were very nice. However, the deal was not what I thought it was and I will not be using them for the work to be done.

The phone conversations were great but we did not have any work done.

I purchased a brand new home about 1 year ago. I know I will be leaving in this home for many years, so I know I wanted what I Stain Concepts had to offer. loved how everything turned out. Brandon was very professional. Went through the entire process on exactly how everthing was going to move forward ... he and his team were amazing. It's so pleasing to come home to see the great work that was done.

The work was neatly and efficiently done. The deck looks much better, as do the sidewalks, porch and driveway. There were a few areas that needed some touching up after the stain on the deck had dried and I could see it without the full sunight on it. Stain Concepts came out and took care of those areas after I called and asked for assistance. Hopefully, I won't need to have them come again for the sealant as I was told this would last and prevent the pebblerock finish from graying in the future. I would use them again for my deck. Both Brandon, the owner, and Donald, his assistant, were professional and helpful.

Initially intended to stain the enclosed 14x18' patio after removing glued down carpet. During phone interview was quoted $1000. Based on price, we decided to do adjoining outside14x10' patio area as well, and left message with that decision so he would bring enough product. Upon arrival, was told the job couldn't be done for less than $2800. Negotiated price down to $2500 (as long as it was paid in cash). Then after looking at condition of concrete, they offered instead of staining to do epoxy, explaining it normally cost double but would work better on this floor due to the glue residue and would do if for the already negotiated price. We agreed to the terms. Pressure washed the area then proceeded to go ahead and pressure wash the entire back and side of the house, since he had the equipment and the time which we appreciated. Job was completed. After 72 hours drying time, the residual glue that was not removed showed and the floor looked like a bad DIY job. Called them explaining it was unacceptable and they told us they would be back the following week to reapply another coat of epoxy, which they did. The job was completed and we were satisfied. The good: They were prompt with return calls and arrival times. They provided extra service that was not expected. They responded to a problem in a timely manner. The caution: Hiking price to over double quoted was bad form. Initial phone call should cover enough questions to get a much closer estimate. If we had not been under a very short deadline, would have called other vendors. Failing to properly prep the area meant a second application was required. They also left the paint cans knowing they are difficult to get rid of.

It went well. They were on time and I needed to come back to do some stuff. We don’t have any issues with them. They were good. They were friendly and nice. They were collectible. Their price is competitive. They got the job done relatively quickly.

I have mixed emotions about Stain Concepts, LLC. In some respects they did a good job. In other regards I wasn't pleased. We didn't take the time to check around for prices. We liked what the representative said and we liked the color of the stain - it is not a transparent stain that we have to do every two years. We liked his sales pitch very much, we really wanted to get it done before it got hot here in Texas, and we didn't compare. So I am not sure whether the price is good or high. We have a lot of woodwork here: several decks and the fence. For this amount of money I expected top-notch care which I don't think we got. Overall I think the job is done pretty much ok. They started the job on a Tuesday, and they were here the following day, and they were supposed to finish up that week. Thursday, one of the workmen had a blowout on the interstate and they had to go rescue him. So they lost that day, no one came. No one came on Friday because it rained. No one came on Saturday. So we lost four days. Then when they got back to us on Monday they were in a heck of a hurry to get it done and get on to their next job. It wasn't our fault that it rained, it wasn't our fault that they had a blowout on I35. We paid top dollar for this job and I wanted them to pay attention to us and not be rushing on to the next job because they'd lost time. There were some things that I asked to have done that they did, in the end, half-way. One workman was good and the other one wasn't so good. The guy who runs the whole outfit was obviously wanting to move on to the next job. But I can say, for the most part, they did a good job. Perhaps it was just unfortunate that they had the blowout and then the rain came and then the weekend came and all of that, but, still, I think for $10,000 you accommodate a lot. They were good about showing up when they said they would show up, except for the times that they couldn't. The owner seemed to be accommodating in getting things done but then when it turned out for the workers to do it, they didn't do quite as good a job as we wanted them to do. There were some things that were left undone that we had asked for and we didn't notice until later. The time issue was irritating. In the final analysis, I would say that I liked the color he picked and, for the most part, the job that they did. But there were a lot of things that didn't measure up to $10,000 in our view.

The original request for service was to stain the rear patio to improve general aesthetics. We were impressed by the appearance and decided to apply the same stain on the front stairs. The stain not only made a dramatic improvement from the original concrete, it gave the appearance that the stairs were not as steep. Service was prompt and well priced. We love the the final product and received several compliments from the neighbors.

They were on time. Was here when they said would be. Explained every step as they did it. Very professional.

Greg was very responsive and showed up on a SUNDAY to provide an estimate. We then agreed on a date and he was right on time. He and his crew moved all the patio furniture into the yard, swept the patio clean, then applied the etching. He returned two days and applied two coats of the stain. The returned 24 hrs later to replace all the patio furniture. I will say he took pictures, so that when he returned furniture it was returned in the same position and spot. Two days later he returned to touch up some spots that had been damaged when pots were replaced. We were very impressed with his work ethic and reliability. Would recommend him highly. I will have him return in a few weeks to clean and stain our deck.

Let me straight forward, I purchased coupon and was displeased with the wording used in the coupon,not by Stain Concepts but by Angie's list. I do feel misled again by Angie's list not SC as I never met them face to face. Make sure you read the fine printing and in between the lines before you buy one of Angie's coupon "deals"!

They did an excellent job. They came a little late but the work was done within two and a half hours. We were very pleased with the work. Our dog was able to go out as soon as the work was done. I have recommended them already.
