Inspector Dave Ashby arrived early and was very professional during the whole time he was at the property, first explaining what he was going to do and the proceeded to conduct the inspection. Explained all his finding as he went along pointing out the good and the bad and gave explantion and reasoning on how tings occured. Took pictures of all areas of interest as he went along and entered everything in the computer for his final report. Upon completion provided a binder containing a Homeowners Handbook with very helpfull information and a pamphlet on construction and remodeling estimates. Dave emailed his final report to us with in 3-4 hours upon completion. I would highly recommend this company.

I give them an A overall. I would use them again.

The experience was great and provided me the confidence in the house I am selling will not have any known problems. It was well worth the money to me.

I have actually used them quite number of times and they are awesome. Their price is very competitive.

I wasn’t terrible impressed by them. He was kind of perfunctory in his inspection. There were some things that he should have called our attention to. I was little disappointed that our realtor recommended him. He charged more than the industry standard. He was very punctual. He was 80% professional. I wouldn’t use him in the future.

I had a military discount. I thought he did a great job actually. I came in and went through with him as he inspected. He explained everything really well and I had questions. He was very thorough and spent two and a half hours on my house which is only a 1 story house. The guy actually came out was Eric Williamson.

In general basic inpection was done with little to no effort to provide services reflective to the high cost.

Scott Emerson, the owner of Scott's Inspections, personally came out to my house to oversee the house inspection. This was an added $30 expense, but I cannot stress how satisfied I am with the results. Mr. Emerson was extremely knowledgeable in his profession, and carried a personable and professional demeanor during the entire inspection process. Mr. Emerson used an extremely detailed and methodical process of inspecting the house, annotating all of his findings, answering our questions and reviewing additional issues without a moment's hesitation. During the inspection, it was revealed that there was rust inside our water mane, which prompted Mr. Emerson to immediately cease running the Dishwasher cycle, and notify us to have the sediment filters cleaned and tanks flushed. With any other inspector, I could only assume that such minor, yet important, issues would not be noticeable. To top it off, Mr. Emerson e-mailed me a copy of his report in PDF form within a few hours of the inspection. Both my Realtor and myself were impressed with the work Mr. Emerson did, in both a high quality and expeditious manner. To say that Mr. Emerson is a master of his trade would be unbecoming. Simply put, he has been one of the most skilled, knowledgeable and experienced professionals I have ever dealt with. If you're looking for a home inspector, I cannot stress that you choose Mr. Emerson himself, even with the added, and modest, expense.

The people at Scott's main office really worked with me and the builder to schedule an appointment for the inspection - due to the natural course of home building, the inspection had to be rescheduled at least 4 times. Scott and his team were fairly accommodating. Despite this, there was a scheduling miscommunication on the day of the inspection. I was supposed to meet Scott at 12:30pm at 1pm his office gave me his cell phone number when he didn't show up. When I called, Scott said he didn't realize I was going to meet him for the inspection, but that he would meet me about an hour later. Scott did indeed show up then; he was already inspecting when I arrived. The overall inspection took just over 30 minutes, and I was told I would have a report by late afternoon/early evening. I received the report the next day via email. My builder agreed that Scott's findings were on par and proceeded to make the necessary corrections before pouring the foundation.

Mr. Schott arrived promptly at the appointed time, in the morning, 9/22/2007. The inspection required about two hours. After the inspection, Mr. Schott prepared his report on his laptop computer and emailed it to me. He then went over the report in detail with me and my son; explaining various aspects of the inspection process and his findings. He answered all of our questions and made suggestions in a professional manner.

Scott Emmerson hit the nail on the head with my home inspection. He detected hail damage and suggested that I contact my insurance adjuster. He saw that I had no foundation damage but suggested some things to do to prevent future damage. I was and am very pleased with Scott s Inspection.

They were very helpful! There was a slight delay in getting the inspection done but I had called him on short notice and they made every effort to accommodate us. They always answered our calls and were kind and courteous.

Inspector was on time and experienced. Took pictures of things that were wrong and had report done on-site. They sent separate bug guy and security system guy to check it all. Only disappointments were despite an extra $50 for the pool/spa part of the inspection, we still were advised to hire a contracted pool/spa inspector when an issue came up on the report (what did we pay extra for, then?) Also, they did the roof inspection "from the ground" and "with binoculars" (aren't they supposed to get up there and look around?) Though our inspector was courteous to the current homeowners by wearing paper boots over his shoes, coincidentally the same company did the inspection of our house for our buyers and that guy wasn't nearly as considerate, we came home to a very dirty (new) indoor doormat and a fireplace full of old wasp nests (from when he went onto the roof, I guess?) Still, I'd recommend them; just be sure you keep track of what you're getting.

Scott himself came along with the inspector in the late afternoon as promised. They did a thorough and professional job. The report was e-mailed the next morning.

He was very thorough and took the time to explain everything as well as point out what items were the most important. He was friendly and willing to work with the construction supervisor to explain his report. This guy knows his stuff!

The inspector explained everything well. We were able to receive the report on site. He was on time and performed his duties within the projected time.

Scott's Inspections went through our home very thoroughly. The gentleman was very nice. He made sure everything was done right. He answered all of our questions that we asked. We were very happy with him.
