The inspectors were prompt and professional, and happy to explain things as they went about their jobs. We felt they were very thorough with the report being highly detailed.

Inspection was complete. When issues developed after the pour, Scott willingly returned to the site for another inspection. Could not ask for better service

I think they did great, they just didn't do perfect because I wish that they had been more informative towards me, as far as education being a first time home buyer. Did they do what they were hired to do? Yes, but in terms of even making my own decisions as the home buyer, I think if they'd been a little more informative, I would have been able to make better decisions. They were early - an hour and half early. I did not like that. They were early, they started the inspection early, which means I wasn't there and I wanted to be there and I wanted my realtor to be there. My realtor didn't even get to meet the inspector because he was done and wasn't willing to wait for my realtor to get there. I think that even with the C for punctuality, I'm being generous.

The house was newer. There was less to find. There were lots of things: the guy wasn't early, less to inform me about. It was an easier exam.

The service was on time, thorough, professional, and delivered the report in a very timely manner. I would absolutely use them again and have referred them to friends buying both residential and commercial properties.

I hired Scotts to do the inspection on the home I had purchased because they not only had great reviews on Angie's List, but they were referred to me from a family member and friend that had used them previously. I had Gary as my inspector and he not only arrived on time, but was very professional, pleasant and informative. He performed the inspection and walked me through everything, showing me pictures so that when I received the official report I knew exactly what he was talking about. I had the report within 48 hours and it was very detailed. I would definitely recommend Scotts Inspections to anyone needing their services in the future.

Our inspector was Gary out of North San Antonio. I was really disappointed with his service due to his lack of interpersonal skills. Upon greeting us he said maybe a few words before he was on his business of inspecting the home. My wife and I awkwardly sat on the couch expecting to go with him during his inspection instead to be sitting down for an hour waiting for his results. Based off of the website I expected to go with him during his inspection for a good explanation of everything. I also expected to have a well thorough explanation of everything he found, however, it was just a quick run down that lasted maybe 5 minutes. While he gave his results I had to stop him on at least 5 different occasions to explain some of his terminology in depth for the average person to understand. I understand he has a job to do but I think a big portion of his job should be to relay the information to the customer in an efficient manner which he did not. We did not close on this particular house and we do not plan on using Scott's Inspection for our future home due to this experience.

I called Scotts Inspection to schedule an appointment. They were able to do the inspection the next day. I met Kurt and another employee at the house. They were on time and very thorough. Both guys were very nice and informative. I noticed a few things on the house but they had already take note of areas I had noticed. Its great to have great customer service and a job done right. I would not hesitate to call Scotts Inspection to get your home inspected.

Good experience with Scott's. Contacted the company and scheduled everything online via their website and/or e-mail. I had about two weeks notice and they were able to accommodate the scheduling needs. Sent initial paperwork and link to pay for inspection online. Inspection was performed on time and received a detailed inspection report literally within 2-3 hours post-inspection. Professional service.

This was my first home purchase and based on recommendations online I decide to go with Scott's Inspection. My appointment was scheduled for 9:00am on a Wednesday and I was asked, if an earlier inspection became available, if I wanted to switch. I said yes and received a call on the Friday before saying a time was available on Monday, so I said yes, please go ahead and switch. Unfortunately the Sellers were not available at that time, but my previous time of Wednesday at 9:00am was already given away, so I had to move the appointment to Wednesday afternoon. Mistakes happen, but I do wish the office staff would have held my original time until everything was confirmed. Our inspector was on time and the entire inspection only took about an hour and fifteen minutes. The house was in decent shape. I could tell that our inspector knew what he was doing and he did answer all of our questions we had at the time. What was lacking was the report he sent. There were some items that I thought would be on there that weren't. The windows had no type (which I had to go back and check myself). Also since some of the windows were dirty a non-working seal could not be found. I didn't think it was terribly difficult to just open and close all the windows...No approximate ages were listed for the furnace or hot water heater. I've seen inspection reports and all include this information. I called our inspector after the inspection was over to ask one clarifying question. He called me back within 5 minutes. After I received the report I sent him a follow up email with two questions. Never heard back. I also received an email follow up from Scott himself asking how the company did. I wrote back to him asking if he had a few minutes to speak. Never heard back. All of that aside, we were able to close on our home.

They were recommended by the real estate agent. There was one where they wanted to bill us for connection inspection but it was included and they ended up taking it off.

I arrived late to the inspection because of a delayed flight. The inspector was willing to wait till I arrived, so he could provide a face-to-face description of the inspection. My realtor met with the inspector on time and the inspector gave a very thorough review. His report came in a timely manner and his staff was very helpful. I guess they took down my email address wrong, but they were very quick to correct the problem. The report was very complete with lots of pictures. Also, when I had a follow-up question, he was more than happy to answer my questions.

They did the initial inspection then they did a follow up.

Jay Schott did a great job of inspecting the home we are purchasing. He did a thorough job and was very good about explaining everything and answering all our questions. He provided very valuable information about the homes biggest concerns and advised us what to do further. We appreciate his honesty and integrity!

The inspector was on time and did a thorough job I felt like. His written report afterwards offered a good summary and then specific details of areas that were deficient. I was able to take his report and bid the work to contractors to have the items repaired.

We are first-time home buyers so we don't really have much to compare to, however, we think the inspection went very well. Gary was our inspector and, although he was a few minutes late, he was professional and got straight to work. He communicated with us throughout the process and answered all of our questions. He checked all the electrical outlets, water fixtures, water heater, AC unit, etc. He walked on the roof and checked the attic. He examined all the windows and doors and exterior. I think the inspection took about 2 hours to complete. At the end, he explained his findings to us and took us on a walk around the property pointing out these findings. His report was detailed and had good pictures showing problem areas.

I highly recommend this company for your home inspection. Mr. Jeffries did a great job and produced a thorough and well articulated report. Plus, after the VA requested additional information about my property Scott's stepped up and provided an additional report (regarding treatment of deck material) at no additional cost. Service after the sale, don't see much of that anymore. Do yourself a favor and use these guys for your home inspection. I guess the price was on par for service according to my real estate agent.

Great. I was impressed with the inspector who used both common sense and technical tools to inspect home for purchase. He found major problems that were missed by others such as a foundation problem. Note I used them since they were the only certified by the ASHI.

I was looking into purchasing a home and was very nervous about picking an inspector, I have heard of many people being suprised after they get into a home with all the damage. I looked on Angies List to read reviews. The companies that had many A reviews seemed to be a bit rude and it would take over a week to get scheduled. I found Scotts Inspection, called and they were very nice and scheduled me within 2 days. I requested Dave Ashby because a comment left from other Angies List members. I was not disappointed. Dave was very polite, answer all my 100 questions, and explained everything he was doing, and why he was doing it. I had my full report the same day. Dave was also about 5 minutes early. If you want a great inspector ask for Dave Ashby.

Did outstanding job. Tech was thorough and professional. Was extremely satisfied. Used their services previously as well.

Excellent. Scott is knowledgeable, courteous, and has no problem having purchasers of a home walk through the entire process with him. We learned by watching, but he was also more than happy to teach us the basics of what we didn't already know. In our home search, he has performed inspections on two separate homes. In one home, he identified code violations that a builder had not completed properly. In doing so, he saved us untold amount of funds and aggravation down the road. His staff is delightful and very helpful. They even offer a service for home owners who have had their homes inspected that allows for those pesky "what is this, and what do I do about it, and how do I fix it" questions. If you ever decide to sell your home, it would be a great idea to have an inspector come out (at your own expense) and identify any issues before you list your home for sale. Imagine the aggravation you'll save yourself if you can get issues identified beforehand and have an opportunity to correct them before putting your home on the market! We won't use anyone else. He is our go-to guy!
