Called them for a second opinion and estimate. Came in at much lower price. Responded quickly, gave me options, installed unit on a Saturday. Got the owner on the phone to discuss the merits of two different systems. Very professional. Filled out my CPS rebate form and mailed it to me to sign and send.

I had a 20 year old system and got quotes from several other providers and theirs was by far the lowest. They put in extra return vent, performed work quickly, and everything has been working great. There are very quick to respond to questions, have great financing offers, and will quickly fill out CPS rebates for you.

I was skeptical at first, mainly because the price quotes was over $2000 less than all the other bids I received. I replaced a 5 ton single stage system with gas furnace. Also had the plenum replaced. Installed a UV light to help kill bacteria and mold and also installed a whole house media filter. There were no hidden fees. Everything was quoted up front, the crew arrived on time and was super courteous. The installation took about 5 hours and was thoroughly tested before the crew left. I'm super happy with this work.

We needed to have our dryer vent cleaned. Called another company who said they didn't do this service anymore, but recommend SA Specialties. Called SA Specialties and they got someone out the next day. Tech arrived right on time. Checked out the inside, recommended shortening the vent hose, then went up to the roof and cleaned the length of the pipe, finished up inside then cleaned up the shmutz from the cleaning and put the dryer back in place better than new. Guaranteed his work. He was professional and courteous. I highly recommend SA Specialties and will use them again.

Everything went great. Both crews did a great job. The finished all three in one day. They did one for me last year and it went great as well. The continue to under promise and over deliver. My sales person was Doug and he was very knowledgeable and suggested I have them run an extra return in my home to increase efficiency.

Andy, Roger and Johnny arrived when promised and completed the work in a timely and professional manner. They corrected old installation issues. I was provided pictures to show what was found in the attic.(so I didn't have to crawl up there to see for myself,) They worked very hard all day. My furnace was in the attic in a very awkward area to get to, but these guys kept working at it till they got it in. The estimator, Doug was extremely easy to work with and very responsive to my needs. The crew cleaned up afterward. I am very happy with this company and would highly recommend them. They are A+ all they way.

We had them come back right away because they haven't installed something properly. They failed the city inspection. Our interaction with them was very good. They were very friendly. The work turned out good. Everything's working as it should. They should do it right the first time and pass the inspection.

The sales guy, Bobby, came and went through the house and made his recommendations based upon their weekly ads. He walked me through the two brands that they sold and based on that week's current promotion we opted for the Lennox units. The high end unit is the Lennox XC21. At first blush, one would think that means it is 21 SEER (note, that I see now that the SEER rating is not listed in the add for this unit). I was surprised that you could get a 21SEER unit for the price they were advertising, but Bobby said "yup! we are a high volume dealer and get really good deals from the warehouses." So I went with the XC21 for downstairs (a 5 ton unit) and a single stage unit upstairs. The install was scheduled quickly and the crew we neat and did good work when they showed up. NO complaints there. It was dark by the time they finished, but the lead of the crew took me into the attic to show me the media filters and how to change them, but did not walk me around to the outside units. I went outside this morning to do a walk around and noticed the energy efficiency sticker on the big unit read "14-16 SEER". I was dumbfounded. So I went to the Lennox website and started going through the literature on the XC21. Low and behold there are about 5 models of the XC21, but the only way you know the difference is if you know the model numbers. Note again, that the model number that SA Specialties is selling was never mentioned, NOR is is listed in their add. This, in my opinion, is NOT truth in advertising. Also, Bobby did not mention I would be getting a 5 ton 16 SEER unit when I remarked I was surprised you could sell a 21 SEER at that price. Bottom line, I got duped by crafty advertising on the upper end unit. I doubt I would have paid less from the other quotes I had, but I would have at least had been able to do a real apples to apples comparison. So, low-price. Yes. Good service. Yes. Truth in advertising. NO! CAVEAT EMPTOR!!!

Add this to the list of great reviews. I was skeptical about a company that can afford nice trucks and full page ads in the paper. It wasn't until I read the other reviews here that I decided to get a quote. John came by to a**** my system and was a true professional. He did his job and asked questions to see what my needs are (allergies, warm rooms, etc.) but he did not try to up sell me on anything. When we got to talking about the price he actually pulled out an ad that I had not seen yet with a $1,000 off sale this week. I was ready to pay the price before the sale. Needless to say, I got the same exact unit Beyer wanted to put in for $3,998. The price in the ad. No bait and switch. No nickel and diming for every little thing. I mentioned Beyer's price and asked why such a difference. The owner prefers to keep his crews around for the long haul. He doesn't want them leaving when the work gets slow this time of year so he cuts his profit to keep his guys. That is an awesome company in my opinion. So then I figured these guys must be busy, so how long is it going to take to get my system? John said he could have a crew over the next day after 1pm. They showed up with three guys and started working inside, outside, and had the 3rd guy helping wherever he could. They used drop cloths over all carpet, cleaned up after themselves and were completely done in less than three hours. They have impressed me at every step along the way. They will come out two times in the next year for free checks and any time for warranty work at no charge. Couldn't ask for more. Thank you.

I am very impressed with this company. I live in Florida and have a rental property in San Antonio. My tenant notified me that the air compressor had stopped working. It was very hot in. Texas. I immediately called a couple places for quotes. I was shocked by the prices I was given. I had recently purchased a unit for my florida home and was surprised that a similar model in Texas was 3000 dollars more. I knew I had to find a company that installed a lot of air conditioners.and bought in volume but I did have an elderly tenant and her handicapped son without ac in hot san antonio. Time was ticking it had been three days. Divine intervention led me to SA Specialties. I called them very early in the morning. The woman who answered took my information and said she would have Frank call me once they arrived at work. Frank called and he told me the price which was 2500 less than my lowest bid!!! The downside was they could not install until Monday. It was Friday and hot in Texas. We reasoned I could put my tenants in a hotel and still save $2000. I agreed to let them send a tech to the house. Best decision I made. Frank called me back within an hour. He had gone to the house himself. He told me his boss just handed him a notice that of a promotion for 10 years parts and labor!!! There was a $400 electric rebate from cps and They would install today!! It was such a relief. The installation went well and my tenants were comfortable by late afternoon. When I arrived in San Antonio I stopped into their offices because I wanted to thank Frank personally. The office was as beautiful as the people who work there.Thank you SA Specialties for a job well done.

Arrived on time. Did a very thorough job. No mess no fuss. Will use again next time for service.

I almost hired another small company on a referral (to save money) but they were so unprofessional and untrustworthy that I decided not to go with them at the last minute and called SA Specialties after reading "mostly" awesome reviews on Angies List. They were wonderful from the start and willing to provide me a rough estimate of the cost over the phone since I knew the tonnage of our units and the SEER rating that we wanted. I thought the estimate was very fair so they sent Doug Nentwich out to our home that very day to check out our systems and see what needed to be done. Doug is so friendly and cheerful that I was smiling from the start. A great face for the company! His quote matched the estimate. For the price, they contracted to install 2 Lennox systems, provide a transferrable 10 year warranty on parts, labor and equipment and do the job in a day. They actually came out 2 days later. The crew was awesome, prompt, respectful, laid tarps down so they didn't dirty my carpet and worked hard to get the job done in the time they said they would. (It took about 6 hours to install all the equipment.) They removed our old units and disposed of them and will file with CPS for our rebate. I waited to write this review for a couple days to make sure everything was working well (which it is!) and to see if they lived up to their promises. So far, everything exceeds my high standards which allows me to make the most important claim of all. I trust them. This whole thing could have gone down very poorly for us and SA Specialties saved the day!!!

They were great to deal with. I needed a complete replacement of my 5 ton unit and Alex, their sales guy was d*** good sales guy. He patiently explains everything thats going to be done, what my options are, and what their prices are. They have a super simple good, better, best pricing sheet. I picked one, they had 0 interest financing available, and next day lead time. So I pulled the trigger right away and the next day their team came by, were very polite, used drop clothes on floors, then did the full replacement in about 3 hours then left. The lennox system they provided works great. No complaints so far. Overall, I was really amazed how professional these guys were at this price point. This company is running like a well oiled machine.

They were able to install it in a couple of days. Very professional. The company sent in the Lennox rebate and I received $800 today. Also, they filled out the CPS paper work for a $900 rebate and mailed it to me. It has been credited to my CPS account. I am very pleased with their service.

Initial installation was excellent. Then began having intermittent problems - outside unit (compressor) would not come on. SA Specialties made numerous trips checking and trouble shooting. Finally discovered problem with my 10 year old control board that they promptly replaced. I have a very complicated zone system. SA Specialties was very responsive and made numerous trips to trouble shoot an intermittent problem and repair it! Very happy with the hard work, dedication, responsiveness these guys performed!

We scheduled to have 2 units for annual/checkup service. One unit was a warranty service the company provides on new units, the other is an older unit. Upon arrival the service tech stated he only had orders for one unit. He called the office and they told him the schedule was too tight to service the other unit. BTW, when we placed the order the person scheduling said she would need to push our servicing out for over a week because they were so busy with non-working unit calls. We said that would be fine as this is just an annual service. The office called me to inform me know that they would need to reschedule to have the other unit serviced as the tech had other service calls today. They office gal transferred me to Frank, the general manager. Frank stated he did not know who's fault it was that only one unit got on the order (really, after we had to wait longer for the service call because of two units...). Also, they do not record any calls. Frank apologized and said he would have to reschedule us. I asked what can you do for me, such as a discount, as I have to take off work again for the 4 hour service window. Frank replied with nothing. He was not willing to make any concession. I told him I would find a different company, which responded that's fine, and pretty much hung up. I would not use this company and if you do, call back to confirm everything. This is really unfortunate that this is how they treat their customers.

Had several quotes for replacing two old AC units and having some ducting issues repaired in the attic. SA Specialties was not the cheapest bid, but their units were far more energy efficient and therefore qualified for a CPS rebate and will (hopefully) save me more electricity. Also, their warranty was far and above any of the other companies I contacted. The salesman was very thorough and even took pictures to show the problem areas; however, he was not pushy or annoying. They had a great 3-year no interest plan to help relieve some of the pain of buying new units. The workers were on time and did an excellent job and were neat as they performed their work and were really quick having both units replaced and all work completed in 8 hours. The salesman followed up afterwards to ensure we were happy and the ladies in the office are awesome as well and filled out all the paperwork required for the CPS rebate. I know when it comes to AC unit manufacturers there aren't a lot of differences, but the primary difference is in the installer so would highly recommend SA Specialties.

.They are the one I use and they are trust worthy. They gave me options for different units and prices. There was maintenance that was required every 8 or 9 months for the first two years and they have been proactive in calling me and getting it done without me having to hunt them down for everything. So far everything they said they will do they have done. They had to run an emergency line. Their prices are extremely good in comparison to the other company I used.

Simply in a word, the SA team was IMPRESSIVE! From Frank the sales person, to Brandon who impressed me with the instructions he provided, to the office staff helping with the CPS rebate. I can't thank them enough. They arrived on time, the installation team was professional and everyone knew their job. The did a nice job of transitioning from my old system to the new system. The cleaned up everything before they left. They made sure to protect the floors, etc. while they were working. Simply I highly recommend SA Specialties.
