Roto-Rooter Plumbing & Water Cleanup

I called Roto-Rooter about 8 am due to a back up in my septic drains. They came out within 2 hours. They put a camera down the pipe and found the roots. Put a high pressure water jet device in the pipe which removed the roots. Identified the area that I now know I need to replace (house is 40 years old). Daniel arrived when expected. Talked me through everything he was doing. Was very professional and courteous.

They were late but kept me updated and apologized. Jeff showed up and fixed it in a jiffy. He provided me with a sample product, free of charge, that helps clean drains in the house (1 gallon).

They did a great job. We had an Angie list coupon but they had a special and they Told us to use that coupon instead of the discount that Angie's list Offered.

He came in, saw that the problem was minor and was very honest about it. He was also able to find the problem we had and fixed it.

We used the deal and even had additional work that the coupon was applied to so that was wonderful. They honored it with no problems.

the plumber fixed the valve that was causing the line to leak. He had the equipment he needed so he finished the work in a timely manner.

The young man was punctual. He was able to replace the two taps without any problems. My leaky faucet were fixed in the process.

Our kitchen sink clogged - again - on a weekend - again. Having been extremely disappointed with the last plumber we used, we decided on Roto-Rooter. At first, I was not impressed. When I first called them, the man answering the phone said he did not have a plumber in my city of San Antonio, TX tonight, and that was it. He didn't offer any other availability. I asked him if he could send someone the next day. He said yes. I had to ask what time, and he said, "Morning." I was getting frustrated, but I then asked him what time in the morning. Again, he was not offering any information. Because Roto-Rooter is so highly rated on Angie's List, I asked him to go ahead and set up an appointment for the nebulous sometime tomorrow morning. Once he got all of my information, he said, "I could probably get someone over tonight, if that's OK." Um . . . yes? The plumber was here within an hour, and Kasan (tech # 1325) was absolutely wonderful!! He was super friendly from the moment I answered the door, and he explained what he would need to do. He fed 100 feet of line through our pipes to clear the blockage, and he even checked the outflow pipes outside to make sure that the water was flowing. This was an adventure, because our house is older, and the metal access lid was extremely difficult to open. He took his time and made sure that we could see in there in order to make sure the pipes were clear. We really appreciated that! No other plumber has ever bothered to be as thorough as he was. Unfortunately, because of the age of our house, the pipes are smaller than what is now "code," and he was not able to run a camera into the pipes to check for any other issues. Kasan was polite, professional, and thorough. Although we spent more money than we would have liked, made the experience worth it. In addition to clearing our line (hopefully for the last time), Kasan revealed some pretty valuable information to us about our pipes (small, out of code, how to check the outflow pipe, which pipe goes to what, etc) that no other plumber has ever mentioned. He was such a good first impression of your company, and if we were going to have a stranger in our house at midnight on a Saturday night, we were glad it was him!

Our water heater leaked and destroyed our ceiling. We needed a plumber quick. I called roto-rooter and scheduled an appointment for the next day between 9-11am. Dispatcher called the next morning and said tech would be at house by 8:50am. At 9:15am. Tech called and said it was just too far to drive to get to our house. I had confirmed with company when I scheduled appointment that they service our area. I then asked if I should call another company and he said yes. Didn't care to drive that far. We went with another company.

We noticed water damage on the ceiling in our living room and suspected that the toilet directly above was the culprit. A gentlemen from Roto-Rooter came out to confirm the diagnosis. He removed the toilet and found that the wax ring needed to be replaced. He replaced it and reset the toilet. He tested it thoroughly to ensure that it wasn't still leaking (which it wasn't). He also checked some of the other troublesome plumbing items in our house (shower faucet, hot water heater, etc.). My only real complaint is that the cost seemed a bit high for the services performed. I would think that the $99 deal for 2 hours of labor would cover a simple toilet reset but it ended up being around $300 if I remember correctly. With as many plumbers out there as there are I would have hoped that they would be more competitive. We would consider using them again but would likely be disuaded if there was a better price.

Very well. The technician was professional and arrived on time. He walked me through both the p trap and toilet repairs and explained what happened. He even recommended that I use a preventative solution in both drains to ensure that the p traps didn't clog up in the future. He was courteous and very conscientious. The overall experience was outstanding.

Jose, our technician was prompt, professional and very courteous. He explained what he had to do in order to get the line unclogged and resolve the problem. The estimate was upfront and fair. Using a camera he was able to show where the clog was found which was further up than we originally thought.

Went well, repair man was on time and was neat and clean. Repair was completed in a short period of time

They were awesome! Turned out to be a huge knot of roots blocking one area of the drain. The poor guy was here for several hours, first locating, then digging to get the section of pipe that was clogged, removing the clog, splicing new pipe and even added a better degree elbow to allow the drain to flow better. The price was very reasonable, especially considering all the work the young man had to do and the length of time he spent ... almost 4 hours! I would highly recommend Roto-Rooter and will definitely use them again.

The quality of the work was fine once he got to the house. The appointment was supposed to be between 1-3 PM. He finally showed up after 10 PM. Someone did keep calling to say they were delayed. I supplied the parts because I wanted to be sure I got they type of faucets I wanted. He tried to charge me a lot more for the job but when I pressed him for what their hourly charge was he reduced the price to what I was expecting. I am not sure I would use them again.

Jane was our technician. She was prompt and very courteous, even advising us to check Angie's List in case there was a coupon. The laundry line kept backing up, spilling water into the kitchen. She ran a quarter cable through the laundry line and made sure it was open. She also ran a 3/8 cable through the master bath sink line since it was also stopped up. Our home was built in 1965 so plumbing needs upgrading! Jane left us her card and said to call anytime there was a problem. We also have a six-month warranty on both lines. We were very pleased with Jane and Roto Rooter and highly recommend her/them.

I purchased an Angie's List Big Deal for this service. The gentleman who was here did great and fantastic work. He helped me understand the issues that we had a little bit better. However, there is a problem with the water pressure and the flapper in our toilet so I am going to call them to follow up with them. Other than that they did really good work. I think we did some extra work so there were additional charges. He offered additional insight without me asking him. The price was probably a little more than I expected, but it needed to be done. I was happy with the work that was provided.

Knew we had discount deal and highly increased the cost of the job that needed doing. We went with another company. Now we have a piece of paper worth$79. Can't use it for anything.

The experience was disappointing. I think they knew that we had the Angie's List coupon, and I think that was a factor in increasing the cost of the repair that needed to be done. When the guys showed up, we ended up having 3 different technicians who came out, and the 3 different technicians, all said that they couldn't get to that pipe, and all the piping needs to be replaced. My house is only 5 years old. They were saying that all my piping in my whole house is no good anymore, and it is very old and not available any more. That was pretty depressing. They said they would try to figure it out, and make it happen, and the guy called back, and explained everything. The pin hole leak that we thought could be sorted at a minimal charge, ended up being quoted at over 500 Dollars. We called another plumbing company for a second opinion, and they said that it was difficult to get this particular copper piping, because the company that makes it is out of Canada, and something about not being able to import it anymore. It is difficult, and not impossible, and certainly the plumbing of the whole house does not need to be redone. They were able to take of the job for me for 200 Dollars. I feel like they tried to take advantage of us. Roto-Rooter were punctual, they showed up at exactly the minute they said they would come.

Jon (#1050) showed up 2 hours after my initial call was made to the company's emergency phone service ready to get to work (Sunday afternoon). He was very professional and very knowledgeable. I watched over his shoulder so I could learn some tricks of the trade, he seemed to have no problem with it whatsoever, which I was very thankful for. He worked his magic and performed an outstanding job. It took him right at 2 hours to complete the job of removing a section of 1/2" copper pipe from the hot side supply at the kitchen sink and to install a new 1/2" coupling and solder the piece back in place. It does not sound like he did a lot work with this description but I can attest he had his work cut out for him due to where the line was located and how it was positioned. Again he did and outstanding job and I am completely impressed and satisfied!!! I definitely plan to call this company in the future if I ever have anymore plumbing issues with my house that is above my skill level. I can not say enough good things about Jon with Roto-Rooter. Additionally I should add that I am a pretty hard man to please but he surely impressed me today!!!

Randell was the plumber, he was very thorough, detailed and courteous. I called after hours, 7am on Saturday, arrived shortly after 8am, he was very diligent to find and repair all the leaks. He was very good at communicating the details of his diagnosis and what it would take to fix it. He cleaned up after all the repairs. It took most of the day on Saturday but Randell was determined to find and repair all the leaks prior to leaving. He stayed late even though it was his anniversary. Because of Randell we are very pleased and would use them again.

Called company and they responded quickly and promptly. The provided us with the best and worst case scenario with competitive pricing. Work was quick and painless with great satisfaction. Only issue was their hint of a hard-sale for a full replacement of each part before testing. All in all it worked out to our advantage and would recommend to others.

Scheduling the service on the 11th of March went very well. They even offered evening service, however I needed service 11:00 to 1:00 the next day. They scheduled me. The only issue from there was when they called at 8:00 this morning to see if I wanted someone out sooner. I loved the fact they made that offer, but if needed to keep the original scheduled time. Then, about 10:30 am I got another call from a service agent telling me I was not going to be able to get service today. I informed the lady that my service was already scheduled and confirmed and I expected service. She argued with me and said I did NOT have a confirmed appointment. I told her I had email proof. She said they were behind scheduled and would do what she could. I was pretty hot. Then about 30 minutes later, I received another call from what sounded like the same girl, confirming my appointment. When I said I believe I just spoke to her but maybe she just made a mistake, she denied it was her. Regardless, the plumber, Randell Nunn came out about 11:15. Randell was very professional, he replaced my garbage disposal. He even gave me a discount! He was very informative as well.

My technician was very polite and punctual. We discovered that the garbage disposal did not have a pigtail on the end of the electrical cord and he drove to Lowe's to find one. The man went out of his way to get the job done and I was very pleased. I have used them before and had good results, glad I called them again.
