Description of Work: My sewer line clogged on Thanksgiving weekend. The technician, Emmett Smith, arrived on Sunday and totally fixed the problem, ran a camera to show me where the problem occurred and gave an estimate of what it would cost to replace the line. I was very impressed with his friendliness and workmanship.

Description of Work: We had a few drains that needed to be cleared of hair, etc. I had just seen an Angie's List deal for Roto-Rooter so I purchased it and we used them instead of our usual plumber. When they arrived, I was not home, so when they told my wife that they could not honor the Angie's List coupon, she simply paid them... When I discovered this, I called Roto-Rooter and they promptly corrected their mistake, going so far as to drive our original check back over to us and take delivery of the new (reduced) one. Separately, their equipment left some black rubber drag marks on our shower floors, but they came up pretty easily. | |Overall, it was somewhat of an inconvenience to have to correct the payment problem, and frustrating as well that they were not aware of their own promotions, but they ultimately did a very good job of clearing the drains and made a very respectable effort at correcting the payment problem. I WOULD use them again for drain clearing.

Description of Work: It's been awhile, so I don't remember his name or the exact date. I thought the toilet was leaking from inside the tank and causing the water bill to go up; and my kitchen facet was dripping which I wasn't able to stop. He looked at both areas, and advised me to change the flapper in the toilet tank myself to save money. He told me the type to get, and left it up to me whether I wanted him to fix it and cost me approximately $75 or buy it for less than $10. I chose the latter. He looked at the kitchen sink facet and advised me that the cost would be approximately the same as getting a new one. I opt to buy a new one. So all 'n all, he saved me money and was very courteous in doing so.

Description of Work: $1000 estimate. They came out and said they would charge 150 an hour to dig underneath my home to find a leak when I declined they offered to turn off my water for $50.

Description of Work: The office staff were very courteous and understanding of the urgency of my problem. A service call was set up and I was kept informed of my location in the queue. Johnny Garza arrived at the time promised and got right to work. He accomplished the repair quickly and very professionally. I was very satisfied and would recommend Roto Rooter to my friends.

Description of Work: I purchased a Big Deal from them for plumbing labor. They came, were very professional and did a good job. I was very happy with their service.

Description of Work: The sewer had backed up into both downstairs bathrooms the day before Thanksgiving. We called another company and they ran a snake through the shower drain and kitchen clean out. The "fix" was temporary because the bathrooms flooded again. We called Roto-Rooter this time. The technician, Jane, arrived in the time stated. She asked us very specific questions relating to the problem and she started working in the bathroom all the while explaining what she was doing and why she was doing it. She was able to find the outside clean out which the previous company didn't even try. She kept working at the problem and she was able to clear out the sewer line. We are so appreciative that she was so diligent and thorough. In addition, Jane was very professional, courteous, pleasant and respectful. We are very very happy with the service and certainly with Jane.

Description of Work: I have a burst pipe in my yard that is leaking water onto my lawn. I called Roto-Rooter Plumbing & Drain Services to set up an appointment to have it fixed. They told me that they would be there between 3pm and 7pm to do the work. They gave me that four hour slot that they would arrive to do the work. At 3 hours and 50 minutes I received a call from the person looking the work order over. He said that they would not be able to do the work today because it would be dark and they could not dig in the dark. I told them that was fine but could they come early in the morning to do the work. I received a call early the next morning around 8 am to let me know that they were on the way. At 10 am they still had not arrived. I called them to cancel the appointment. I am very upset by the way they handled this.

Description of Work: The secondary bathroom's toilet got stopped up and using a plunger did not unplug-in fact it backed up into both bathtub drains. As it is a holiday we looked for an Angie's List recommended service that did not charge extra for holidays. I called Roto Rooter and they answered promptly and took our information and said they could have someone out in an hour or less. When it got to about 45 minutes they called again and said he was still at another job and it would be another 30 to 45 minutes. Billy showed up and cheerfully attacked the job of clearing the sewer drain between the front of the house and the street. It didn't take him long, maybe ten minutes once he got the equipment set up. He asked us to run the shower for the period of time he was putting his equipment away to ensure there was nothing else backing up. He said he had run the equipment all the way to the street and there was no other blockage and no root interference. He said he had to wait 25 minute before leaving (I'm not sure why) so he offered to look at any other plumbing problems we had while he was here. We showed him the toilet that we had to hold the handle down to get it to flush properly. He tightened a nut and that took care of that problem too. We are extremely pleased and grateful that this nasty problem did not ruin our Labor Day. The price we paid was after the $40 Angie's List coupon was deducted from the price.
