Schmidt Mechanical did a fantastic job installing our AC system and making improvements to our duct work. Every team member we've come in contact with has been polite, knowledgeable and helpful. They have continued to be responsive and helpful after the sale & initial installation. I highly recommend them and look forward to having them as my AC Service providers from now on.

I'm still waiting on an email on the status of my air conditioner and it's been about a week.

Proved that our regular service provider was guilty of telling us our AC coil was bad and that it'd cost is over $1,200 to replace it. Schmidt technician, Raymond, spent a full half-hour checking out our system and concluded there was no leak. We've now signed a service contract with them for 2x a year system checkup at $300/year less than the people we've been with since we came back from Europe three years ago. We moved into a Del Webb / Pulte 55+ community and inherited their installation people. We've now found better! During the three hours Raymond and company advisor, Jared, were here, they checked out things people from the other outfit never did. The Schmidt approach was very thorough, informative, and I can say that I'm pleased to recommend these HVAC specialists to everyone. And a couple of footnotes: the $128 charge included the cost of a one-year service agreement *and* bringing the Freon level up to where it should've have been from the beginning. A 5***** company.

This was a big deal purchase. When they came out they did not do it correctly and we lost all power in our air conditioning system. We had to stay overnight in a hotel. They had to come back and redo it because he forgot to connect something in our air conditioning system. That could have caused a fire in our home since he was careless. Things that they were supposed to do they did not even do. My husband had to point all that out. Up in our attic they were supposed to do something and my husband had to tell him that he did not even do it. That is supposed to be part of it. I am glad my husband noticed that he had not put a part in correctly. I felt that they should have paid for the hotel room. I have an elderly mother so it was just horrifying. I thought the price was good. They did not do everything they were supposed to do. They did not do a good upstairs inspection of the unit in the attic. He did not flush the drain and stuff and they were supposed to. The first guy did not adequately inspect the whole outside unit. The second guy did a better job. I think the first guy was too impressed with his new tools and trying to get out here as soon as he could.

I got a detailed list of the comprehensive winter inspection items checked by Rick. He was very professional. He gave met a list of recommendations for added services but wasn't pushed to get them. This is the second year I've used the $79 offer for 2 inspections and have been happy with each technician.

The coupon offer is just a way to get in your front door...then the real price just starts adding up...! "My personal opinion, through actual experience." Their main office quoted a complete price to fix the alleged problem was over $600. dollars. Of course I said NO...!!!

They did what they said they were going to do. It was a couple of days after I bought it. They upsold me on the maintenance. It was 150 bucks, additional. They were quick to respond. They were punctual. They didn't do everything they said they were going to do that was on what I purchased even though they said they did, but they didn't because then when another air conditioning company came out here, the stuff they said they did, there is some that they didn't do. I am not a technician so I couldn't tell you if what they did was right, I am just saying, when they said that they completed it and they did it, when the other company came out, they found things that they claim they did, that they did not do.

They tried to upscale me on the maintenance.

It was not so good. Our AC wasn't blowing out whole day. It was kind of cool and we knew something was wrong but we didn't tell him. We just wanted to know what he thought of the AC, so he went did his thing and he said, "Hey. it's all good." and then we told him him that, "Hey, it's not really blowing out cold air." So then he went and did a more thorough job and then put refrigerating in it and all that after the fact that we told him that the AC wasn't doing too well. The company themselves also called me and I told them the same thing and then he was like, "Thank you for the feedback." He should have put the refrigerating in and all that.

I wasn't overly pleased. Heather has a lot of information but as far as what she did on the air conditioners, I prefer a different company servicing it. I have netting and leaves out of our air conditioner and stuff. I know she did not open anything yet because she didn't remove any of the netting. I don't know she cleaned them. I have three units so they may have charged me for an additional. She was professional inside the house.

went very well. we'll definitely be using these guys in the future.....very reasonable svc call fee of $98 for a Sunday afternoon emergency call. checked everything after identifiying the problem....Jose was great and incredibly helpful and professional....they should all be like this!

The provider arrived on time & went immediately to work. The whole process took approx 2 hours.

Scheduling was easy and they showed up on time (always a big plus). They performed the A/C check and coolant fill based on the deal that was purchased from Angie's List and then used their office special to match that price on the 2nd unit I have at my house. The technician took pictures of all the pieces he wanted to show me and talk about and spotted some issues with the capacitors in my system. The cost of replacement was reasonable and came with a 5-yr guarantee. I will likely use the company for my normal A/C and heater maintenance.

I began to experience problems with my AC, the same day I called, a technician was sent to my house. I received exceptional service from Johnny. He explained everything he was doing to the unit and gave me some tips on how to keep my system running at an optimal level. He did warn me that my system was old and that I should be prepared, which I thought this was it, but Johnny was able to find the problem and get my system back up and running. I did contact Jon Wayne before Schimdt Mechanical and they would make it the same day if I paid full price for a diagnostic check or if I wanted to use the Angie's list coupon, they could only come a day later. It was disappointing that a company would operate in this manner. I recommend Schmidt Mechanical Group to anyone who wants professionalism, honesty, and is looking for ethical business practices. I RECEIVED OUTSTANDING SERVICE FROM BOTH THE COMPANY AND ESPECIALLY THE SERVICE TECHNICIAN THEY SENT TO WORK ON MY AIR CONDITIONER. I THOUGHT IT JUST NEEDED MAINTENANCE. I WAS WRONG. TECHNICIAN WAS VERY PATIENCE, EXPLAINED IN DETAIL WHAT HE WAS REVIEWING AND WORKING ON. VERY HAPPY WITH THE SERVICE AND THE PRICE I PAID CONSIDERING THE AMOUNT OF TIME AND WORK HE DID ON MY UNIT.

Rick phoned and gave us a heads up he'd be at our home in 30 minutes. When he arrived he put booties over his shoes before he walked into the house. He listened to our concerns asked several questions and then went to work. He performed a 20 point cooling inspection on our unit. He flushed the condensate drain line. The indoor evaporator coil was inspected. Primary motor controller was inspected for pitting and condenser coil was rinsed. He ended up adding 2 pounds of 410a and declared that everything else was OK. We ended up purchasing a 1 year service agreement for the cooling and furnace system. He treated us the way you would want to be treated, explaining everything he did step by step. It was a GREAT experience.

:0My breaker started tripping, at the main, causing the whole house to loose power. I wen to the panel and through process of elimination determined it was the A/C circuit for the heat pump. This is now the second time this has happened in as many years. Luckily Schmidt replaced my heat pump, about two years ago, and I was familiar with why the circuit would trip. Same thing happened last time. The only problem is that I had American Home Guardian (Do not use) and they sent Dunn Air who ruined my heat pump (read previous post...lol). The compressor is under warranty but the labor is not :-) So I called Schmidt on Friday and they had someone out on Tuesday. In the middle of their busy season that is impressive by my standards. What was even more impressive was the fact the compressor was replaced same day! Jose was my tech, recently moved from Orlando with his wife, and I can not praise him enough. He treated me like I was a trainee and walked me through everything he did (only probably understood about a 1/3 of it...lol) but the fact that he did not demean me and treated me as a colleague was unexpected and a treat. Based on their last visit and this visit I may be able to pin point future problems myself (still need them to fix it). So after eight years in SA I have a new A/C company that is dependable and polite. Jose fixed everything in one visit. Yep one visit. He stayed and completed the job. My hats off to this man for his passion to be thorough and professional. He is not the only one to thank. The office staff was great, as usual, and Keith (the bossman) was pleasant as well. I highly recommend these folks to my friend and neighbors and they are always pleased with the results. My brother-in-law just had to have his entire system replaced and he was able to get the 60 month no interest payment plan plus the $800 from CPS. Another job well done. Thanks for everything.

My family is going through a tremendous amount of aggravation as a result of poor workmanship by this company, and their failure to stand behind their promises and warranties. We hired this company in June 2014 to perform annual maintenance on our home a/c units (which are regularly maintained). We decided to hire them because they were very courteous and appeared to be highly professional until they took our money. Just a few days after they completed several recommended services at a cost of over $3,500, one of the units leaked a significant amount of water due to a clogged drain pipe. This had never happened to my systems before and is one of the services I had asked them to perform in order to avoid this issue. When I called to report the issue and ask them to promptly come by my house to fix the issue given water leakage, they bounced me between their dispatch and technician - for days, until the fifth day when they announced they needed more money to come out and take a look at the issue. Their workmanship was poor, their warranty promises ignored, and their customer service after this had happened extremely poor. We will never use this company again.

It went really well. They explained the needs of the unit and their reccommendations.

So the techs started working; and, It seemed like they did 18 out of the 20 point inspection: 1. I didn't see them inspect the duct work for energy loss 2. They used my water hose and sprayed the unit. (not to sure if they used any cleaner for the coils). At the end one of the techs told me there was several issues: 1. indoor blower motor is reading 6.2 amps and rated at 8 amps 2. motor controller is reading at 3.4 mfd and rated at 5 mfd The tech and I went outside and he explained to me about the "Motor Run Capacitor" needing to be replace, because it was no good. I told him that it was replaced with a new one since I just had the condenser fan replaced. As I was looking at it and when I touch the bottom of the part he warned me to be careful because the unit was on. So he continued to explain about his findings; next, he showed me the reading after removing two wires. Then, when he was done he started to connected the wires and then he shocked himself. I asked him if he was OK? He told me he was fine just a sting. I referred to him what he just told me. I said why don't you just flip the switch off since the breaker are right there. He said he was fine. So, he did it again and shock himself. finally, I told just turn off the the unit which then he did. 3. There was a leak coming from the valve. (Shrader repair high side) Next, I'd questions about the leak with-in the valve. I told him it was repaired last year by an AC tech and that the system has been blowing cold ever since then. He told the cost is $56.25; which I'd paid. So now, hearing the leak for the first time. I told him to go ahead and fix it. Keep in mind I was thinking he was going to replace the inner stem with-in that valve with a new one. Nope, in two to three seconds he'd got his tool and tightened the steam (my though that this is kind of suspicious). I had asked him if he was going to put some refrigerant since he claimed that it was leaking. He stated "no" because it's at the normal range (hmm).

Excellent job. I would definitely use them again. Their technicians were very courteous, professional, and considerate of the issues in my home

He was courteous and on time. However, he had a long, drawn-out sales pitch for six other things that he wanted me to buy. I decided not to use them to do the work.
