SCAM ALERT! THE GARAGE DOOR ONLY WORKED FOR 8 WEEKS AND IT TOOK 6 WEEKS FOR THE COMPANY TO FIX IT. The original work was done back in November. We were pretty happy with it at first. Not even two months after the installation, the new door malfunctioned. The door came down crooked and fell off of the rails. It was hanging by about 4 of the wheels on the track. I immediately called the company phone number. The answering service said there is NO EMERGENCY SERVICE. No one picked up and my only option was to leave a message. Being the situation that I was in trying to get to work, I called my husband to help me with the door. He left his work right away to help me secure our home so that we could both report to our jobs. I received a phone call from the company almost an hour after I had left a message that said they would schedule someone to come out to our home to fix the problem. They didn't say when they would be there other than before the end of the day. As both my husband and I had to go to work that day, we couldn't leave our garage door open all day and wait for a technician to come to our home. We were able to bring the door down without any assistance from the company. The said that they would send someone the following day to fix the door. Again, they could not give me a time to anticipate when the technician would come by. They said they would call before the end of the day to confirm a time. Before the end of the day, they did call and we set an approximate time that the technician would come by. I had to take time off from work to let the technician in. When the technician came by, he did not fix our door that day. I received a phone call from the Sales and Installation Manager, Darrell, two days later who said that MY WARRANTY WAS NOT APPLICABLE due to the fact that we brought the door down ourselves. He told me it would cost me $335 to fix the door. I told him that I expected it to be covered under my one year warranty. He spoke with my husband and quoted him a different price, $265. I'm not sure why there are two different price quotes with the original cost being $467 for the door and $145 for the installation. MAYBE THEY CHARGE WOMEN MORE THAN MEN. We told him this was UNACCEPTABLE. I wrote a letter to the San Antonio office as well as the corporate office requesting that the repairs be done under the one year warranty. Once they received the letter, one of the office members (not the manager) called me to tell me CORPORATE WOULD PAY FOR THE REPAIR of my door. THANK YOU CORPORATE! He NEVER APOLOGIZED or admitted any wrong doing. It even seemed that he was blaming us for the door malfunctioning. He said I would hear back to set the date for the repair work. One week went by and NO WORD. I called the office to inquire about the repair. The manager told me he was waiting for a part that should be there in about two weeks. I called again two weeks later and was told the item had been shipped and wait another week. Another week and NO CALL. I called the manager again and he said he'd check to see if it had been received. I told him last I spoke with him it had been shipped. He still didn't admit that it was in stock but due to all the waiting I had done agreed to set up a date for installation. The following day, it was finally repaired. THE GARAGE DOOR ONLY WORK FOR 8 WEEKS AND IT TOOK 6 WEEKS FOR THE COMPANY TO FIX IT. IT COST ME 9.5 HOURS OF LEAVE FROM WORK AND SEVERAL HOURS CALLING AND WRITING A LETTER TO THE COMPANY. I DON'T RECOMMEND THIS COMPANY TO ANYONE AND I WILL NEVER USE THEIR SERVICES AGAIN. My experience is only in relation to the San Antonio location and does not reflect the company as a whole. The corporate office was credited with trying to do right by paying for the repair.

. On Jan 6th, 2014, I personally went to the Overhead Door Company to check out the business as I like to see the company I'm dealing with. There I met with Sales Representative Dan Crowell who was very polite and professional. Mr. Crowell showed me several types of insulated garage doors and explained the R rating. He was sincere in his presentation and did not try to sell me any thing I didn't want. Once I told him what I wanted he explained that it would take two weeks for delivery which I agreed upon, plus he made an appointment with me at my home to inspect the old garage door. After the inspection I asked him to change the order which he did with no hesitation, he was easy to work with. After 8 or 9 days he called me and stated the door was in early and wanted to set up an installation date. I told him I was going out of town and we agreed to install the door on Jan 31st. The installers arrived on that date and installed the door and I'm very satisfied with the work that was done. I would highly recommend the Overhead Door Company for their quality work and professionalism .

The showed the same day and quickly complete the job.

The tech was on time, personable and did not try to sell me any further services. I was very satisfied. It was a very cold day (30 degrees). He did his work without complaint. He explained all his work in simple terms and also instructed me on how I could continue maintenance on my own. Took less than 1hour for labor.

John was very courteous, professional and detailed about his work. He showed me the problem, fixed the problem and showed me a solution to prevent the problem from happening again. John is a great asset to Overhead door and I am very pleased with the service provided.

We called because our garage door wasn't working. Someone came out within two days and let us know what was wrong with the door. They were able to repair the door in just a few hours. The technician was very prompt and explained everything to me in detail before he made any repairs. Our door was fixed and he did a mini tune up, also. Not only does it work again, but the tune up made it quieter than I ever remember. I will definitely use Overhead Door Company again.

Professional technician who completed the work very quickly

Made the appointment on Saturday for Monday but they did not show up. Gave them a call early Monday afternoon and found out the people I spoke with on Saturday did not schedule the work. They were able to come that same day later in the afternoon but was very disappointing to find that the work was not scheduled. If I had not called, the work may have needed to be delayed until Tuesday.

The man (John) who completed the work was courteous and was honest about the condition of the door and track.. If we have to replace the door we will call Overhead Door.

It went very well. Yvonne was very helpful, kind and professional. Everything was explained in detail. They were very punctual and timely.

They sent the estimator the day I called, door was available in the color I wanted. I had a new garage door by Friday. They had done the original install, I damaged the door due to carelessness. Prompt, courteous service, very pleased.

Our garage door opener would not close all the way automatically. We had to disengage the opener and open our garage door manually. Jesse with Overhead Door came out and asked me to explain what was happening. It turned out our light beam had worked itself out of alignment. He adjusted the light beam and, voila, it worked. He could have told me it was something more expensive and I would have believed him. He was honest about what needed to be done, fixed it in less than 30 minutes and left with a happy customer who still had some coins in my wallet. This is why we always use Overhead Door for every home we have had in several states. We can trust the product and the service.

I called Overhead Door on Sunday (they were closed) and left a voice mail message detailing my problem (broken spring on garage door). First thing Monday they called me back to get more details, then told me they could come out to fix it on Tuesday. The tech (Joe) showed up Tuesday at the appointed time after calling me to let me know he was on his way. He immediately diagnosed the problem (broken garage door spring), then set about removing the broken item and replacing it with a new one. He also lubricated the garage door rollers on both doors and reassembled the opener safety sensor that was bent and broken. Finally, he reprogrammed the outdoor keypad for the opener which had not worked properly for more than a year. All components of the door work properly now. I would defintely call Overhead Doors again!

Price quoted honored my angies list membership. Work was done in a timely maner.representative cam out the day before to let me know if there was anything in the garage that would be in the way of the repairman. This helped greatly on my end so as to assure a timely and efficient repair

I am very pleased with this company. I called them around 1:00, and let them know that the garage door was stuck partially open, off kilter and off its tracks. They said they would have someone out that afternoon. They called me back, let me know the repairman was on the way. The repairman was courteous, and very professional. He had the job done lickety-split, and they were all done before 3:00. The door works great now, and I will definitely use them again.

The technician arrived on time and was quick in getting the work completed. Service was beyond expectations. I will use this company again.

Professional, quality work. The door looks and works fantastic. Even the trim around the door was replaced and the new door has a weather proof gasket on the bottom where it hits the concrete. The *ONLY* problem I had was that they were over an hour late. The quality and speed of work outshone that though. I am happy and will definitely use them again.

It was an Angie's List Big Deal that I purchased. Everything they did was fine. They were there when they said they would be.

I had purchased these doors fr Overhead in 1998 and needed the bottom rubber weather stripping replaced. Unfortunately this particular model had a railing holding the weatherstripping in place and which was directly attached to the door and covered by the tension wire, making a DYI replacement cumbersome not to say "dangerous" due to the need to first remove the tension wire. We therefore opted to have the replacement done professionally. Got an appointment within less than 24 hours with a 2 hour arrival window. Technician then called about 15min ahead to confirm arrival. Was quick and professional, one could tell he had many years of experience. Explained and answered questions about process and material used today. Nevertheless I had to point out a missed seal and now the one strip shrunk again, despite the tech advising that modern material does not shrink any more and should not need to be stretched to length as in "olden days". Will have to call and see how they deal with this issue and may have to update rating and review. As a note: I had Overhead come out about 1 1/2 years ago for a simple maintenance call to readjust tension, inspect door conditions, and lube. That tech was flustered that we even called, did very little but spray some lube on the rollers and moving parts, said all was well and charged their standard service charge. I only found out later that the rubber had already bridled then and shrunk, I would have expected a maintenance call to have noticed that and pointed it out. We did not notice until we had major water come into the garage due to the missing of stripping on the corners .... Remember it doesn't rain often in these parts of TX, but when it does, it pours.

From first call to final installation this company was professional and responsive. All appointments went as scheduled. Would definitely use again.

Serviceman arrived on time, dressed professionally and ready to get right to the task. After evaluation, he surmised the problem and fixed it in short order. We haven't experienced any problems of that nature since the repair. We're happy.

I called they came quoted and put in a new spring and told me about some things that could improve the door they also helped with some wheels that were bad. they did a great job. The price was very reasonable I just dont remember how much.

I couldn't afford both (over a $1000.00) at the time and decided to do just one which then cost me $400.00 (why not $500 or $600?) then when he asked for the age of the house had to then re-quote me due to lead paint disposal fee, then when he did that, he had only a few doors in stock, and then finally kept asking me "what would you pay for the job?" - sort of a bizarre haggling method when I was ready to pay for the re-quoted door, he was trying to back out of the job. He gave me his card and gave me the impression he wanted to do the job "on the side", I got him to leave and threw away his card.

It was good. It took about an hour to an hour and a half. They seemed very professional and were very communicative. We just wanted something basic done, but they wanted to do the whole thing so it didn't work out in the end. They charged $60 to come out and do the estimate and then quoted $1,100 to replace the garage door, the bearings etc. It wasn't what we really wanted.

Our mother board went out on our garage door right before we rented it out. Overhead door came out and promptly fixed out garage in no time at all..Thanks!
