+ -1 moreI was very pleased with the service. They were quick to respond, professional, and reasonably priced. We had called Overhead Door Company for a repair about 8 years ago and decided to go with them again.
Description of Work: One of the springs broke on my garage door. I called them in the morning and they were able to come replace the spring that same afternoon. I had both springs replaced, as well as the lock, which was also broken.

+ -1 moreIt was a Saturday when my garage door decided to stick half way open-half way shut. I placed several calls from the yellow page ads to various companies with so called emergency numbers without as much as a return call. I came here to Angie's List, decided to call these folks doubting I would get anyone to return my call. I was amazed when the technician on call returned my call in 15 minutes or so. Told me the rate and said he could come after he finished the calls in front of mine. He called again later to let me know he was on his way, got here, got everything working wonderful. I will need some more work done on the other garage door prior to my selling my home and these folks will definitely get the first chance at it. I would highly recommend them.
Description of Work: My garage door had come off the rollers and gotten stuck... half-open half-closed. It required repair to the track and fixing the cables which had come off of the pulleys.

+ -1 moreThey could have sent someone out and charged me for it but they didn't. On the phone, the technician identified the problem, gave me instructions how to correct it and patiently waited until I did. It took less than 5 minutes to fix and I was charged nothing for it. That is great service.

+ -1 moreOverall the experience was very good considering the quality of the material, technician proficiency, excellent clean up and general helpfulness. However, the negative aspect of the experience (based on the lack of customer focus and reliability)of one employee is still remembered.
Description of Work: In late June 2005 I visited the Overhead Doors showroom and selected replacement garage doors. They did not have the color I wanted but were helpful in providing instructions on how to properly paint the doors to match the house trim. The installer arrived on schedule and removed our old wooden garage doors and installed two Horman insulated steel doors. He did an excellent job even returning the next day to add track extensions. We asked that the vinyl garage door trim not be installed until later as we were having some siding and door trim replaced in the garage area. We were assured that a phone call to install the vinyl trim when we were ready would be acceptable. I initiated a call in early November and most every week thereafter through the first week in January 2006 to no avail. The salesman always promised to show on a specific date but would call to cancel or just not show up. I finally spoke with the manager who sent a technician to install the vinyl trim that same day.

+ -1 moreI was very pleased with the whole expierence. They contacted me quickly and was able to do the repairs rapidly and efficiently. The price seemed fair. I'm very satisfied with the service.
Description of Work: Lifting spring broke on 7/12/06. It happened after hours about 6 PM. I called and left a message. They contacted me the next morning and sent a repairman. He arrived about noon, completed the work and was finished by 1 PM. He recommended changing the other unbroken spring and the safety cables as a precaution. They originally installed my door 10/21/94.

They were well behaved and showed us how to disconnect the door from the automatic opener, to open or close it manually, if it was necessary. All the old hardware, and door were taken away, and the garage cleaned up. The new door operates with greater ease, than the old one and it looks ten times better on the front of the garage.

+ -1 moreThe repairman originally came over to replace the whole door. After examining the situation, he determined that it was unnecessary. His honesty saved us six hundred dollars. The spring replacement took less than a hour, and he took all refuse with him. He was also very personable, and gave us his card for when the door did need to be replaced. When that time comes five years down the road, they will get the job, simply for being honest with us.
Description of Work: Overhead Door Corp replaced the springs on our overhead garage door. The door was no longer opening without a great deal of struggle.
